I was supposed to have my 8 week visit tomorrow instead of last Thursday and I wish it was still tomorrow. It'd be nice to just get a confirmation we're all still good even though I feel fine now.
@ElizabethSchuyler - they are pretty good friends of ours.. He was in our wedding, unless my doctor does NOT recommend it, we will be going...
@kissthesky32 I think we're going to try to make it a mini-vacation too! I want to go see Mount Rushmore (only 30 minutes from the wedding) so we might try to do that... The car ride though is going to be tough! Will need LOTS of pee breaks and stretching legs haha
@ElizabethSchuyler now I'm definitely going to need to pick up some cheetos today.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!! My eastern-tailed blue butterflies have apparently decided to gift me a mjaor case of nausea and dizziness for my birthday! I assume it's due to the double dose of hormones and the fact that they are supposedly starting to wiggle around in there. But it's all good. Since I'm eating for 3 I can have 3 times as many cupcakes today! (...Right??) ;-)
@TallMomma29 eat two cupcakes for me too! @08-16-08jms honestly, I've forgotten literally every mildly important thing for my children. I forgot bake sales, pizza lunches, photo ordering. Everything. Don't feel bad!
@TallMomma29 one of my favorite app features ever!!

@TallMomma29 it's my favorite too, so cute! I'd been waiting for 8 weeks so I could finally see it. It's so teeny! I love the daily updates of something new baby is doing too.
Our health insurance sent me a letter today letting me know that if I am expecting, I should sign up for their pregnancy education class online to get some free books.
My first reaction was to be super paranoid and suspicious -- "How could they know I am pregnant?!?!?!" DH helpfully pointed out that in the last several weeks I have filled prescriptions for crinone, gotten three weeks of ultrasounds and blood draws at an RE, then abruptly stopped going to the RE we'd been seeing for months. So yeah I guess that could be it.
So I'm not starting a Facebook debate again or anything, was just thinking about something. I lurk a lot of other BMBs and noticed the ones further along have baby announcement threads. I don't know how comfortable I feel putting Baby's picture on the internet like this but think I'd be more comfortable with the privacy of it on Facebook where I can control it. We're still months and months away from this but thoughts from others?
*I am not suggesting starting a FB group right now*
@DuchessOfCambridge I know that I would definitely feel comfortable once we are coming up the point of babies being born jumping in to a FB group of regular posters. I don't have crazy stranger danger so at the point where the general consensus brings us that way I'll be happy to follow suit
@DuchessOfCambridge I won't share pictures or names on tb. I try to maintain a very, very anonymous image here. I would be ready for fb and moderate sharing around November or maybe October.
Ugh the friend I'm babysitting for just called and said they're stopping to get pizza at chuck-e-cheese. Now that's not a quick dinner, it's going to be dinner and games with their 3yo. Whyyyyyy do people have to take advantage of child care? The plan was a movie and home, now we're creeping in on DS's bedtime routine.
@DuchessOfCambridge and @emucoleman the past two weeks (weeks 8 and 9- the only weeks the hand has shown up) I've sent screen shots to DH. It is SOOOO cute, and imagining four of those little hands wiggling around inside is so cute!
@DuchessOfCambridge I shared a picture or two in the birth announcement thread of my first BMB, but that was before Catfishgate and I oddly didn't even think about how weird it was to be sharing pictures of my babies with complete strangers on the internet (the lurkers, not the regulars here). Of course, I also blog and occassionally post pics of my girls so... I guess it's not that different. So... I guess I don't know how I feel about it! I do love reading the other birth announcement threads and seeing all the pics of the babies though. They're all so cute and tiny!
I didn't shave and couldn't wear my usual ankle length pants so it's jeans today. One pair wasn't even close to buttoning and I ended up in a pair of skinny jeans with extra stretch and a hair elastic. Thankfully the school I sub for doesn't have a real dress code.
@slaven I definitely used the hair band trick through my whole first trimester with my DS. It works so well! After that I had to make the switch to maternity pants though, because even the elastic bands couldn't hold my jeans up comfortably!
@adirat My insurance did that with one of my pregnancies, too. But I had to talk to them and answer a BILLION questions first. They called me a couple times a week until I did it. And I never got the books:(
Just found out another of DH's family members is pregnant! And this one I really like So, we have DH's stepcousins wife due in May, DH's cousins wife due in September, and DH's stepcousin and is due in November. This baby is going to have so many cousins the same age to play with! So fun!
@DuchessOfCambridge that is so fun! Our LO will have it's siblings and some cousins that are all 5+ years older and that's it! I wish someone in our families would have more babies!
@DuchessOfCambridge I must've missed the Facebook debate, but as soon as there are regular posters here I would love to create a group on fb. SO much easier to see and navigate everything. It doesn't really bother me to put up a picture here or there of a baby announcement though. What's a lurker going to do with a pic of a random kid?
Re: Weekly Randoms 4/10
@adirat I just had Cheetos from the vending machine and it was like I was eating filet mignon it was so good.

Red peppermints are gross to me now. I can only stomach the green spearmint!

eta: Ahh, I see there's a seperate app than the fertility one.
