Random: I was washing the cats' water fountain, thinking: I wonder if she would go back to the bowl if I put the fountain away (one cat LOVES the fountain, the other will not drink from it if she's dying from dehydration). To answer, KC came in, looked for the fountain, YOWLED, sniffed the plain water bowl, yowled again, and walked away.

I haaaate cleaning it. I usually let it stretch to 10 days, but I really need to be doing it once a week. It's just such a hassle.

So, my doctor called me today, and said, "Hey, Tacos, I think I know why you've been struggling to get pregnant." Ummmm...I am 18 weeks pregnant, doc. I saw you last week, and talked to you yesterday. As soon as I said that he went, "Oh...you're right. You're having a boy, really long legs. Hmmm. Just a second." Turns out there was still an old blood work order in the system from October, and when they ran my routine prenatal blood work last week, they ran those tests too. I was in a hurry, so I didn't think to ask what red flag he saw though! So I called his nurse, and it turns out the "red flag" he saw was a raised prolactin level. My prolactin is at 159, which is normal, and actually really healthy and good for a pregnant lady, but would be a problem for someone who wasn't pregnant, as a normal, non-pregnant level is 29 or lower. I'm glad to know that all my hormone levels are good, and it was even nice to hear that my prolactin is at a great level, and if it stays up I shouldn't have a supply issue. But dang, getting that call really threw me for a loop!

@mrs_tacos what the what?! I wonder why your prolactin levels were so high... that's crazy! That's what kept me from getting pregnant after DS, (one I know because I was nursing...) I had to cut out a feeding even after we introduced solids. Prolactin is the enemy of fertility. Weird question... your levels were so high, were you lactating?

@wyomama0427 i think @mrs_tacos prolactin levels were taken WHILE pregnant not before so the doctor's diagnosis was incorrect bc the blood work was taken at the wrong time so it's not really the answer

I don't know if the GBCBs know that infant development is based on due date, not birth date. You can't just switch to a different BMB and expect your LO to be on target for milestones with the new BMB.

@labby18 I absolutely loved The Crown! John Lithgow is one of my favorites of all time. I loved the costumes and the acting was seriously incredible in that show.

@jessieR358 I finally finished watching Big Little Lies the other day! SO SO good. I don't usually like Nicole Kidman but she was fantastic in this and I didn't think it was possible to love Reese Witherspoon more than I already did. You should definitely read the book! I think it's my favorite by Liane Moriarty and there were some differences.

@HollyGolightly09 Omg I'm right there with you with the under eye circles. I feel like I look like a raccoon when I don't put on concealer.

I don't know, if I was due on the 29th or 30th, I might move to October. I already feel pretty far behind a lot of you ladies. Someone due that close to the end of the month might feel like they fit in better with October in milestones anyway.

I understand as far as the milestones are concerned. My original EDD was August 30th but based on u/s my DD is September 1st. I started out in the August board just lurking but hopped on over here as soon as it was created.

Edited because lap explained... but also adding that instead of commenting on the threat that was requested nobody commented on, I tagged her in randoms and called her out for her shitty response. And then it just went on and on and on and she called me a bully and blah blah blah

I actually participated a lot in both N15 and D15 for DS. He was due towards the end of November (ended up coming early), but I always felt more in line with my pregnancy with D15 because I was so far behind the ladies due at the beginning of Nov. I'm great friends with ladies from both groups now, we have private boards on facebook that we use constantly still. This is part of the reason I wanted to wait until after birth for a FB group- a lot of crazies come through here during pregnancy, and I don't want to share pictures of my LO, details of our lives, etc, with people that just show up a couple times, then disappear.

Good riddance! They are weeding themselves out for us. We aren't doing anything, honestly. They are just extra sensitive.

Sorry I've been MIA - I've been trying to get my house in order and all our bags packed for our trip. We are leaving at noon and I still have a load of laundry to do, which I'm about to say eff it.

I am so excited because it's going to be almost 80 degrees for our whole trip. It's going to be AMAZING!!! Can't wait.

I think it's time to let this go. If anyone feels that this board isn't a good match for them, whatever their reasons, they can leave. I don't particularly want their drama, and there's nothing to be gained by having another board get involved. Our case has been made, and others can choose to believe whoever they want. Maybe we can have a cute kitten/ baby animal/ whatever gif party instead?
