  • @jayandaplus mine isn't quite there yet, but it's dangerously close. Every morning my DH sticks his finger in there to tell me how flat it feels.

  • @jayandaplus Yes, my belly button has popped, too. It's been halfway there for a while now, but it recently officially became an outie.

    @jayandaplus
    Mine hasn't turned into an outie, but it looks so stretched and gross. I caught a glimpse of it on Monday and it was scary looking lol

    eta: Anyone have suggestions of where to find a pretty shower dress? I'm gonna try destination maternity and Macy's. The old navy and target around me have tiny maternity sections. My shower is next Sunday, so only places I can go to, nothing online.
  • Congrats @mrsrep123 on the new job!

    @absbubbs - good luck with your studying and getting ready!

    My belly button is such a deep innie that it has never popped out before. Right now it's pretty flat and probably as flat as it's ever been so it'll be interesting to see if it pops out in the next few weeks.

  • @Kipperoo 16 days until your induction?! (Or are you having a csection)
  • What's the hard and fast rules on dying your hair while pregnant? It's always changing so thought I would ask.
  • @bacorrea I think the rule is treat yo self. If you aren't terrified of deli meat and soft serve ice cream you're probably in the pro hair coloring camp. My doc and husband give 0 fucks if I go get my hair colored.
    Sweet! Thanks!

    @Jens_Hoes I was just about to ask the same question! (re: shower dresses) I'm in the same boat with a shower next weekend and nothing to wear. I was thinking of ordering online from Pink Blush and paying extra to get it shipped faster, but I'm always afraid to buy clothes online and I've never bought from them before (any experiences?). My in-person options are Macy's and Destination Maternity too. Anyone have other ideas?
  • @Kipperoo ah! Exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. How long will they let you labor with cholestasis? Are they super strict or as long as everything is going well you're good?
  • I was gifted the wonderful stomach bug.... last night I was up every hour, haven't been able to keep much down at all! It got better, but now I'm back to even water makes me nauseated
  • @bacorrea, yes, it is exciting and also terrifying, haha...With my 1st, I obviously didn't have any experience with labor, so I remember being more excited. This go around, it sort of feels like I'm mentally preparing for war. It sounds like they will let me labor for a while, but I have an added complication of being on blood thinners, which I will have to temporarily stop for the labor, so they probably won't let it go more than a day but it will be a game time conversation.

  • @Kipperoo well FX since you have been induced before maybe your body will just totally remember what is happening and give you no trouble!
  • I felt so productive today and got so much done, but I was so sore after dinner that I thought I'd try a bath. Well, I filled up the tub and the water wouldn't turn off. And DH, who is normally pretty handy, has no idea how to fix it. So all the water in our house is shut off until a plumber can come tomorrow. Looks like we're going to be "camping" for awhile.
  • @kns1988 well, not too sure quite yet about starting the new job after maternity leave. My release date from my current job is 4/16. I'm hoping to start modified duty on 4/3.... So it's gonna be interesting to see what they do with me.

    @Jens_Hoes and @L1C4gal do you have an H&M near you?

    @vrj0522 Thanks!

    @jayandaplus ugh, my belly button is half popped out and it's super sensitive.

  • I just looked up statistics to see how likely it is that this baby is breech like DD was. I thought it was high, but it's only 10%! Now I'm having a mild freak out about a VBAC really happening. Remind me, who else is planning on VBAC?

  • @KMD1106  I will be attempting one. DS was facing my spine and almost 9 lbs and got stuck. When his heart rate dropped, I had a csection. My OB thinks that as long as this LO is positioned correctly, it should be a smooth VBAC, but I've been stressing about it lately.
  • I knew I forgot to tag someone! @Jens_Hoes, I bought a Jessica Simpson maternity dress from Macy's and I think it makes me look like a whale. I couldn't find anything else that I liked, so I am keeping it for now and hoping that by May 6th it may look better. I also ended up ordering a maternity Stitch Fix box and requested that they only send me dresses. I'm not sure if you can change the shilling to come quicker, but maybe you could try that. You too @L1C4gal

    @KMD1106 I'm still debating VBAC or RCS. I'm really torn about it. DD was an unplanned CS due to no progress and her heart rate dropping. My doctor says that I can try, but I'm still weighing the pros and cons of both.
  • @MoshiMoshi7, it's hard to be in limbo waiting to find out baby's position. Don't you wish we could predict the future and know if baby was in a good position for VBAC?

    @achays11, that's a tough decision. Has your doctor mentioned whether or not the same thing is likely to happen again?

  • @KMD1106 I am sort of on team VBAC since I won't electively schedule another cesarean but it looks like the odds are high that I will need a cesarean for one reason or another. Baby is still breech which is an automatic disqualifier for a vaginal delivery. My BP is also creeping up and if it gets too high they will do a cesarean since inducing with pitocin after a prior cesarean is apparently a no-no.
