I didn't want to start a new thread to ask this question so I figured I'd post it here and get the opinion of you fine ladies.
Yesterday was cd7 and my last dose of letrozole (2nd cycle on it). Throughout the day yesterday I would get sharp shooting pains kind of like a spasm (or someone stabbing me with a knife) in my vagina/uterus and sometime back to my butt. They came frequently and were sometimes so painful they had me doubled over and the episode lasted 6-7 hours.
***TW***
I gave birth to twins at 18 weeks and some of the pains felt very similar to contractions.
***end TW***
Dr. Google says this can be a sign of vaginal infection, UTI, endometriosis, bladder infection, etc. Has anyone ever experienced this? I called my RE and they said they would look into it and call me back

Hey all!! I'm currently in the thread March 2WW but have been lurking here too so I figured I would join over here also! Hehe. I had my first IUI done on March 10, 2017! And am waiting ever so patiently to take my HPT on Friday! I'm very new to all of this and am so grateful to be apart of these chats! Even though I just joined yesterday you gals have already been such a great help!
Hi everyone! I just got home from my IUI. It wasn't anything to write home about. Pre and post wash counts were fine (57m pre and 17m post). I had the worst pain on my right ovary all night. I thought for sure it was ovulation cramps. It remained until I was laying there with my hips up. Now it feels fine. Weird. Anyway, 2ww!

@Irisheyes81 welcome to the TWW! I'm glad your IUI went well!! Will you be getting a progesterone check at all? Wishing you the best of luck this cycle!!!!
I am new here- a short background of myself. Married over 6.5 years we have 1 son thru domestic infant adoption, he is 21 months and the biggest joy. We starting TTC from the beginning of our marriage. We just started down the fertility route and all our t st our done finally. I had my ultrasound today and all was good so I started clomid today- I go back for another ultrasound on day 12 and then I'll be giving myself the trigger ovulation shot ( tips please I'm nervous!) thinking of you all!

What was your first thought when you woke up this morning? Hope!
Best compliment you have received? What a great mom I am
If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Chick fil a- it's a problem lol
I just got back from my IUI as well. My beta is scheduled for April 4th. Everything went ok except one thing I'm a little irked about is they scheduled my fiancés collection for 9:30 and my IUI for 1:30. Is it just me or does 4 hours seem like a HUGE gap? I dunno, maybe I'm being nit-picky. Anyway, good luck to everyone!
AF came today :-( Onto to April IUI! (I'll still be lurking and hoping for lots of BFPs!)

Funnygirl34 Big hugs, sorry about AF. @megmac2010 Thank-you, I am hoping for the same but being cautious too until Thursday afternoon. Last time my AF arrived 2 days early but I am on a higher dose of progesterone so think that may be holding it back. we shall see. Sonebone & @Irisheyes81 Glad the IUI went well, now the 2ww. morgan&paul2010 welcome and good luck with your upcoming IUI.
@Imajin99 we had iui the same day and my beta is also Thursday. I feel a few twinges too...sure hope it's not AF coming!! I haven't tested and I won't. I almost feel like I could forget about going Thursday am lol!!
@Sonebone that seems like a really long time!! It doesn't use how it could live for that long. Did you question them?
@Funnygirl34 I'm so very sorry. FX April will be the lucky month
@SoonToBeMommaHowe - how are you feeling? I had some unusual pains/pangs when I ovulated/before on clomid - likely from gas and the size of my follicles. But not sure if it's like what you're feeling. Are you feeling better?
@Momifbysea - sending lots of good thoughts to you, too! I have been following the IVF threads, and have high hopes for all you ladies. xoxo
@morgan&paul2010 - I have now started an April IUI thread, in honour of you. I'm hoping very much we can do an IUI at the end of April - around April 24.
@Sonebone - I would be nervous about that much of a gap too. Our appointments are usually 2 hours apart.
@megmac2010 - I laughed at your response. But seriously, the TWW after an IUI is AWFUL. Good luck!
@junicek, I am so nervous about Thursday. Are you on prog supp? I have had the worst headache all day today, nothing is helping. Hoping its not side effect of prog supp preventing AF. I don't usually get headaches before AF.
@Imajin99 i am not on progesterone. I asked my nurse and she said my lining is fine (always 7mm) so there is no need. She said some meds thin it out too much. I felt a bit twingey Monday and a few cramps yesterday but not like usual. I'm starting to feel pretty cranky though which is usually pms.
@funkykey yesterday morning I had the stabbing pains only twice and then nothing in the afternoon and nothing so far today. My RE says that it doesn't sound like it would have anything to do with the cyst or the Letrozole so I would need to call my OBs office. I switched to a new OB last year, have had a consult appt and that's it and they are impossible to get a hold of. Much different than my last OBs office and I'm not liking it. So I guess I'll just go with it was a fluke thing and I'm good now....
I have a follie scan the 27th so we'll see how things look then.

@soontobemommahowe that's super weird. What a bummer about a non responsive OB. That's the worst. These doctor's offices have too may patients and lose quality of care.
@funnygirl34 sorry about the BFN. That sucks a lot. FX for next cycle!
@SoonToBeMommaHowe - I'm glad you're already feeling better but I wanted to say that I think I have experienced similar pains on letrozole. My RE explained that sometimes fluid gets into the space between the rectum and the uterus (google image search rectouterine pouch to see it) and that this causes pain in those areas. Perhaps you had a cyst that bled or fluid?

Hi all- my iui is scheduled for Friday morning. I had an u/s and bloodwork this morning and my
Follicle is just over 20! They gave me the option to have iui Friday morning or Saturday morning but I opted for Friday morning! I hope that was the right choice! I have to start taking estrogen orally as well as vaginally because my lining is still a little thin.
@Funnygirl34 so sorry for AF.
Got my progesterone results. It's at 36.70 ng/ml. My nurse says that's good and I don't need to take the supplements. That was tested yesterday at 6dpiui.

I remember someone on here had a cyst, but I can't remember who. I went in for my baseline appt and I have multiple cysts, like 7 or 8. So I have to take birth control for 3 weeks. it sucks big time! Just wondering who's had this happen and what exactly causes the cysts. I haven't had this happen yet with treatment.

@funnygirl34 I think it was @funkykey that has the cysts and she's benched for a little while because of them. Sorry about your cyst! So so so common on these meds.
bpietronicco yay! Nice big follicles! Good luck Friday.
baseballhoney Thank-you, I was thinking the progesterone was the cause of the headache, all better today. @junicek my lining has always been good and don't know why they put me on the prog. supp. when they don't even test for it during the 2ww. I will have to ask my RE next time but nurse said it was protocol for the clinic. Kudos to you for not POAS. I caved and checked this morning with a cheapie and it was negative. Still have a very slight glimmer of hope but will probably be a BFN
Hello ladies (and gents if there are any!) I hope you don't mind me joining in here!
IUI number: 5, first one with Gonal-F & Menopur Date of planned IUI: Unknown - may convert to IVF, depending on follicles
I return every other day for ultrasounds to check follicle count/size. This is a much more intense cycle than previous 4, really hoping for success this time! (Not that I wasn't for the others! Haha)
What was your first thought when you woke up this morning? I had my baseline this morning, very early in the morning & an hour drive - so my first thought was 'Do I REALLY have to get up this early!?'
Best compliment you have received? Hmm I'm not sure!
If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably chicken parm!!
What country do you dream of visiting? My favorite is Aruba, I have been a few times and I can't wait to go back!
@Funnygirl34 I was originally told at my follicle check that I had a complex cyst, but after labwork my RE said it wasn't a complex cyst, just where I had ovulated. So we missed ovulation this month and didn't even bothering trying at home, so I'm definitely out for March. This cycle has me totally confused!
@amanda_1182 - good that not a complex cyst, though! I mean, it's a small mercy, but I hadn't heard of them before you mentioned, and when I googled, they looked awful!
@Imajin99 I understand how hard it is. I tested other times but wasn't even tempted this time around. Not excited this morning or anything. My DH and I agreed to 3 IUI and this was #3, so if it didn't work it may be the end of the road for me. Lots of complex feelings
@bpietronicco Thank you my Dear! Hope all is going well. Looks like we are cyle buddies!! FX for you!!!! Had my first IUI today. Im waiting to see if they want to do another one. My Re is only billing my for blood work and US for the second IUI. I really love this office
