DS starts soccer this morning, his first sport! I think I am probably more excited than him.
Other than that, a quiet day is planned. Cleaning and lots of laundry to do. And apparently both kids are growing out of clothes at the same time so I will try to pull out the next size up and put away the size they have been in, if there's time.

Headed to a local smaller beach in Tampa with my SIL and their girls, then Clearwater Sunday - Tuesday before I go home to upstate New York where apparently there will be a huge snow storm lol
I asked my in laws to come help today to give my mom a break from helping us. Im finally going to let them "babysit" even if just in short spurts throughout the day so fingers crossed it goes well!
Quiet weekend here, too. We lost power yesterday for a while, which caused me to go into meltdown mode. I was cranky, I'd just had an exhausting day, the house was getting really cold, the electrodes for the holter monitor were stinging like crazy, and I didn't want to deal with any of it. I was about 5 minutes from packing up and going to stay at my parents' warm, wifi-filled house when the power came back on. Now I just have a quiet weekend, so I'm going to try to relax and do some me-stuff (I'll let Pete, the robo-vacuum, handle the chores).
I'm driving an hour and a half to meet my BFF (also pregnant!) at a tea room. I'm so excited to catch up with her. This evening my sister is hosting a sushi party - I've eaten sushi quite a few times during this pregnancy, but I always get the cooked rolls (shrimp & eel).
Then tomorrow, we're looking at some more houses to buy. One of them is really promising from the looks of the pictures. As stressful as it can be, I love house hunting. I used to go to open houses in my old neighborhood all the time even though they were all out of my budget. I'm one of those people that'll stop in if I'm just walking by. It's like HGTV in real life.

Happy weekend, ladies!! I'm hanging around the house today--just had our new oven delivered and waiting on the plumber to come pipe our new fridge. DH is taking DS to swim class and I'm planning to do some light organizing in baby girls room. Watching Moana this afternoon with DS--we haven't seen it but I have a feeling he will love it as he seems to like all movies with music. Tomorrow, we have a playdate with a friend of mine and her DD at an indoor play place in the morning, and some neighbors coming over for beers and a play date with their DS in the afternoon...so...a weekend that revolves around my toddler. As they all seem to, haha...
Still back home visiting my family! We have a family birthday party this afternoon and then we will be spending the rest of the weekend relaxing and playing outside. I think I may actually be getting a slight tan? It's quite the improvement from my Washington induced Twilight glow.
My girls were super excited last night to get to talk to DH for the first time since he's been gone (almost two weeks now)! Just about a month left, so hopefully more frequent phone calls from here on out.

No big plans here! Cleaning the house, grocery shopping and finally starting to pack things in my hospital bag that I can go without until baby gets here (travel toiletries, nursing bra, nursing pads, etc).
Toddler gymnastics then probably cooped up in the house because it will be 40 and raining. Maybe some nesting shopping at BRU, we'll see.
My husband just got back from a week away so I expect a clingy emotional 2 year old this weekend. PHe's also cutting his top 2 year molars so there's that. At least they are the last ones!
@kns1988 Your plans sound awesome! I've been wanting an excuse to go to a tea room - meeting a bff sounds perfect!
@kipperoo I feel like I've been the Moana ambassador on here so lmk what you guys think of it!
I'm really excited for DD (almost 3) to go to a siblings class at the hospital we are delivering at. I wish it was a little closer to my due date but they cancelled the April session and the May one is cutting it a little too close. Especially after asking my mom about her second pregnancy/delivery and she said my sister was 10 days early. Makes me feel the need to get on that to do list you've all mentioned lately. We could be inside of two months here!
This weekend I was supposed to go to work to catch up on some work, but now it's snowing and I just found an excuse not to go. I will head over to babies r us to update my registry since my shower is coming up in 2 weeks. That's pretty much it for me this weekend.
Just took our dog on a walk. Nice and breezy out! However, it's pretty difficult to bend down and put her harness and leash on. But she was happy and now passed out haha
Hoping to finish sewing burp clothes and a baby blanket today. Then relaxing the rest of the day. Moving my parents furniture and whatever else tomorrow. Well, lets be honest I'm. It loving anything haha but will probably help put stuff away.

Morning ladies! My siblings are home for spring break this week and today is my brother's birthday. I am currently baking him a milk chocolate cake with cookies & cream frosting. We are all going to Outback tonight.
On another note, my allergies are killing me! I woke up to my throat on fire. My parents cherry blossom tree bloomed and it is trying to murder me! Of course the temperature dropped again and now the petals are already falling. They had to move up the Cherry Blossom festival in DC! What a weird "swinter" we are having.
We are finally finishing DD's new bedroom this weekend! It's been a lot of fun to design around her butterfly theme request. I'll post pictures when it's done.
We are also going to brunch with my parents tomorrow.

So far, this pregnancy has been totally "second kid." I have hardly anything done, haven't picked out a name, and plan to shove a few things in a bag for the hospital. Also, toddler woes.
Morning ladies! I have a hair appointment this morning so I'm looking forward to 3 hrs of alone time. Then our neighbors and their kids are coming over to play and have dinner. Tomorrow is working on the nursery, watching the race and dinner at the inlaws'.
We are moving furniture out of the office, tearing up the carpet and painting to prepare for baby. Can't wait to have new carpet in the house so I can put the nursery together. No more randomlyplaced furniture.
I'll probably be MIA this weekend as we are heading to Disneyland for the next two days for the first of DD's birthday celebrations. This weekend is with my IL's.
@erinh2005 let me know how your DD likes the sibling class. We can't do ours until DD turns 3 at the end of the month.
Slept in my own bed for the first time in a month ... for 2 hours at a time between pumping sessions. Spending the morning (and TBH, probably the afternoon too) with the babies in the NICU. Trying to give DD all of the extra love I have - she's at a friend's house this morning so DH was able to come and "hand hug" little Owen this morning while he slept. More updates tomorrow!
DH just asked me if we would take turns driving to the NICU so we wouldn't have to take the boys out in the snow. I kindly reminded him that I am not cleared to drive yet! The boys aren't allowed in the NICU so we plan to go and take turna waiting with them in the waiting room. I am also tempted to watch Moana today, since there's been so much talk about it.
We're going to our niece's last basketball game of the season today. She's 9 and it's her first team thing. They just got out together several months ago and the first couple of games went really badly but they won last two! So I'm excited for her. Also glad it's now and not later because there's nowhere to sit there.
I'm a little stressed about the house with all the delays we've had. We're supposed to be doing the final walkthrough this coming Tuesday, hope that goes will.
Oh and also we plan to work on my park & ride parking skills this weekend so maybe I'll start driving myself into it this week!
@erinh2005. That article does give me the feels. But at the moment, I'm in the middle (hopefully end?) of a 1 hour toddler tantrum that started when she decided she didn't want to wear the Jean shorts she put on, got mad about the hairstyle she requested, and then demanded her father do everything and not her mom (a constant struggle). DD will be happy to have me busy with a baby. She really prefers her father.
10:30 here and I finally ate breakfast. I've drank 32 ounces of water in the last hour. I've got a monster headache and baby has been lazy with movement, so my anxiety is in high gear. Chugging water to hydrate and attempt to get this headache to disappear without resorting to my pain meds.
No plans, maybe I'll clean my girls' room. Sick of the mess. I work tomorrow. Boring life as usual haha
My mom is in town and she volunteered to watch DS for the day/night so DH and I could get away so we're up in Vail. He got us a really nice room and booked me a massage for this afternoon. It's so exciting to have a relaxing night away and it is a beautiful day up here.

SIQB You might as well as describe my life. DD and I have a great relationship but once daddy is home she follows him everywhere. And there are mornings where she just won't stop asking for him even though she knows he's at work. Its hard but at the same time I do look forward to when he will take time off and they can spend tons of quality time together. I only hope that when he goes back to work after, it wont be (too) chaotic!
Also, that article? So much truth. We still haven't discussed names other than a list of male names in our families. Whoops.
I haven't fully formed my weekend plans, but will probably spend today catching up on folding laundry and if I can muster up the motivation some spring cleaning and organizing. DH and I did some recent shopping and I'm low on clothes hangers so it's time to go through our stuff and get rid of things we don't wear often enough to keep. Other than that I need to break out the new stroller and make sure it all works, the last model had a factory defect with the wheel locking mechanism and was not as universal with carseats as it advertised so hopefully the new one will work out for us. And Sunday is DH's day off so I'm sure we'll think of something fun to do.
I'm realizing how badly my anemia was impacting my energy levels. I'll be 30 weeks on Monday and I've finally gotten my energy back since I started taking iron every night starting about 3 weeks ago. I think I was kind of depressed too- I barely left the house on the weekends and I had been really wanting to take DS to the indoor pool but couldn't even get it together to pack a bag. Really wanted a smoothie but could be bothered to take out the blender. Happy to say I did both today and I'm definitely tired but I feel like I can keep going.
After suffering from HG throughout this pregnancy finally being able to function is so amazing! We may be snow bound for a few days next week so lots will get done that has been neglected around the house too!
So I live in NY right on boarder by CT and we're apparently going to get dumped on with snow Tuesday so that's all I am worried about. I'm at work today and tomorrow so no plans this weekend.
TW: I had grand plans this weekend to finish picking out fixtures for the house my husband and I are building. But, the twins had different plans for me. I was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning at 5cm and my waters bulging. Contractions 5 mins apart. They got the Mag going and things have stabilized, the girls are staying put and happy for now. Hoping to keep them in another couple days! 31 weeks tomorrow. I know I'm not a frequent poster, but wasn't ready to share with my Facebook world yet!
