@mcvgal Keeping you and LO in my thoughts and fingers crossed you can make it til Friday! Is Friday the absolute latest they will let you go, or is there something that could happen to let you make it longer? I'm not super familiar with pre-e and immediate delivery so not sure how it all works out!

@mcvgal I'm so sorry! I know you didn't want it to go this way again, but we're all here for you. Please keep us updated. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.
@achays11 I am SO excited to hear about your husband's job! That must be such a big relief--congrats all around.
@SKZW I'm glad to hear your little guy is fine! And how great that you could gain such perspective from the experience (and share with us, since I'm sure we can all use a reminder now and then!).
@mcvgal I'm sorry that you're going through this. I will be thinking of you and sending lots of good vibes! It sounds like you (and your older boys) are in great hands, although I'm sure it's still scary. You've got this!!!
@mcvgal how stressful to have to be dealing with preecclampsia again but how exciting that you'll get to meet your LO this week. Positive thoughts that you make it until Friday and that everything goes smoothly.
Thanks ladies for all the support and thoughts. Unfortunately with my history Friday is the latest I can wait. I already received 1 dose of steroids and should get the next tomorrow in order to deliver on Friday.
@mcvgal oh my goodness! I will be praying for you that you make it to Friday, and have the best possible Dr's and nurses for yourself and your little one.

Are you having a cscetion or will they let you labor for a bit?
@bacorrea my hospital doesn't allow for vbac, so I will have a c-section. I am pretty relaxed now and the magnesium is working well to control my bp. For now I'm just watching some tv and keeping calm.
@PartiallyDomesticated With both this pregnancy and my one in 2014, my midwife ordered the 2 hr GTT. My parents have type 2 diabetes so I'm higher risk but I think they do it for everyone. I was told it was a new standard when I asked in 2014.

@mcvgal ugh sorry! Pre-E and mag is yucky. Send lots of good thoughts for you!!
I had to work in pediatrics this weekend and took care of a couple kiddos with RSV, a nasty respiratory virus. DD woke up today with a fever and respiratory symptoms and now all I can think is I brought something home. I changed my clothes and was super careful with my isolations but ugh!
@achays11 Glad to hear you and your H got some great news!
@skzw What a scare! Glad your stay was short-lived and that your DS is already back to his normal self.
@mcvgal Sending lots of positive vibes your way. Will be thinking of you and Lucas or Lucia on Friday.
@MrsFreeman2010 Ugh, I hate that feeling of thinking I brought some nasty bug home from the hospital. Hopefully it's just coincidence and that your DD does NOT have RSV.
@mcvgal hang in there! We're all thinking about you, your LO, and family! Just think, you'll get to see your sweet baby soon (even if it is a little early)!!

I learned something last week that I had forgotten to mention... apparently due to the change in health guidelines around circumcision, some insurance companies now circumcision as an optional procedure and therefore will not cover it. So if you are planning to circumcise, you might want to check with your insurance company to see if they will cover it. And if they don't but you still want it done, then you might need to check with the hospital to see if they will even do it during your stay or if it has to be done by the pediatrician after discharge.

@mcvgal I'll be thinking of you and hope today goes well.
I must bitch that I got to Quest by 7:30 am to do my 3 hour and the order was not in the computer!!!!! Grrrrrr they are going to have to deal with a very pissed off lady later this morning when the dr office opens. I think my number was like 141 so I'm kind of wondering why they wanted me to take it anyway. I also ate a nature valley granola bar before my test and I think that might have messed it up too. So at this point I'm considering not doing it at all.
@mcvgal , that sounds like a stressful situation and it sounds like you are in good hands. Please keep us posted--I'll be thinking about you and your family!
@SKZW . so glad to hear your son is doing well. Hospital visits are scary and you deserve a gold medal for SHARING a hospital cot with your husband while pregnant. I'm honestly not even able to picture how that worked, lol...
@SKZW - So glad your son is alright! How frightening!
@achays11 - Congrats on DH's new job, that's amazing! I'm so sorry for all of the stressors lately, but I'm sure the new job/better pay takes a huge load off. Hopefully the DUI isn't too much of a headache, and I'm glad no one was hurt.
@mcvgal - Keeping you and your little one in my thoughts! While an early delivery isn't exactly anyone's ideal plan, it's so great that doctors are able to catch potentially serious problems like pre-eclampsia and deal with them in the best way possible for mom and baby.
@RainyDays86 - Thanks for the moving advice! I feel weird about the idea of someone packing up our stuff for us...haha...not that I have anything too scandalous, but the idea of a stranger going through my stuff makes me uncomfortable. We have almost a month until moving day, so in theory we'll be able to pace ourselves. My problem is that, once DS is in bed, the couch/Netflix/ice cream is just so tempting...
@ShadeofGreen816 - Thanks for thinking of me! All is well with baby, I just have failed at posting lately On top of buying a house and moving, DH has been working overtime (yay for money, boo for way more work for me as well), so things have been hectic. Also, we got new computers at work (where I usually do most of my bumping) which have somehow resulted in terribly slow internet most of the time.
@Kipperoo@thistlenweeds - The work situation is horrible. I took it to my boss yesterday, who is planning to speak with him today. The most troubling aspect for me is that we work with minorities every single day- I'm concerned that his personal beliefs may interfere with his ability to genuinely help them. The forum was absolutely disgusting, it's not something someone looks at without knowing exactly what it's about. Honestly, I can't say I'm completely shocked that he reads this garbage, as I've made the mistake of engaging in political debates with him....let's just say we have very different beliefs.

@vrj0522 you never know with the ridiculous insurance policies. 4 years ago I got a $400 bill for my sons circ and when I called they said it was considered "cosmetic" and it wasn't covered. I fought and fought and they eventually covered it at 100%. Always always fight your insurance bills. After DH heart surgery I saved us thousands by fighting bills they sent us.
Now that it's march and I have a may 3 due date I just caught myself telling someone I'm due next month!! Wow!!!! I'm sure he'll be here sometime (hopefully) late April. That made this seem very very close to the end.
@mcvgal I'm thinking of you guys so much! Please tell me they put the AC down as low as possible for you, the devils juice (mag. Sulfate) is the furthest thing from a great experience.
I am thinking we will also need a NICU support thread pretty soon. So many hugs to all the ladies in preterm situations right now.
@mcvgal Yay that this baby is cooking a big longer than the last one. Yay that you get to meet and love on baby soon! Can't wait to see pics Boo that this isn't ideal
@mcvgal thinking happy thoughts for you and little one. I'm so glad you have an excellent team of drs. it sounds like they will help make your hospital time and delivery as smooth as possible so you can

Yes! One of my OBGYNs let me know. He said that they had to pay $300 OOP for their kid 3 years ago, so make sure you check! FYI - it is still covered by Tricare.
Y'all. If this new baby isn't a good sleeper I may literally die. My 2.5 year old is so so so bad. It took her over 1.5 hours to go to sleep last night. We've literally done everything.
Not to be *that* person who asks about baby shower/party etiquette...but does anyone see any potential issues/faux pas with DH and I hosting a combined house warming party/sip & see once baby is here and we're settled into our new house? It wouldn't be a formal thing by any means, and we'd likely just have a Facebook invite or something. We're just thinking it would be a fun way to involve our friends and family in our big life changes and also to have food and booze. Would anyone side-eye this?
