I have a bp check and BPP on Tuesday, regular OB apt Friday with Group B Strep and cervical check (I talked to my Dr about it and will be doing the initial one but not anymore until labor) and another bp check and BPP Friday. I'm hoping the max dose of Labetalol keeps him cooking past these appointments and the results of my 24 hour urine come back mild.
I haven't scheduled it yet but I want to get my hair cut and maybe eyebrows done for my shower this coming weekend. I know I need to hurry up so it has time to look less like "new haircut" so I may see if I can walk in tomorrow.
Also will be calling to schedule my prenatal massage/Valentine's present soon.
And I keep putting this off but I NEED to meet with a pediatrician. I just feel so lost in the process of trying to pick one that I keep avoiding it.
Regular OB check up on Friday at 33+1 and meeting a potential doula on Wednesday. I'm getting my T-Dap and will ask about a prescription for my breast pump. I think I'll also be setting up my hospital tour. My kids get to go so they can learn about some of the different hospital equipment. I think it's cool how they try to include older kids!
Had an U/S at the hospital and they didn't schedule me back! We're in the home stretch! Today I'm 34+4 - Baby B is 4lb9oz and Baby A is a whopping 5lb13oz! I have an NST later today and again on Thursday

No real appointments this week (this is the last week that I don't have an OB appointment, which is kind of crazy!) but I am meeting with a pediatrician on Thursday so hopefully we both like her and we can cross that off the to-do list. Also have a breastfeeding class tomorrow night and then our childbirth class Friday night and all day Saturday.
36 weeks today and I had a growth scan this morning bc the ob was slightly concerned about my belly measurements at my last appointment (still in the "normal" range, but certainly smaller than my previous pregnancies). Baby measures a bit lighter than average at around 5.6 lbs. Amnitoic fluid totally notmal and head/heart/belly/kidneys/spine were all great. OB is scbeduled for Thursday and it will be an internal and strep b test. I think I'll decline the rest of the internals unless there is an issue, but since I'll already have my pants off on Thursday ... :-p appointments are weekly from now on.
I have an eye doctors appointment on Tuesday - getting new glassss for the first time in 8 years!! A haircut on Thursday. And my first weekly OB check up on Friday.
Regular OB appointment this afternoon at 33+5. Normal stuff - check HB on the doppler, urine test, BP, weight. Kinda hoping that I've gained some more weight this month (the scale at home says no ). I might have my GBS test today? I think she said that would happen at my last monthly appointment. Next appointment is in two weeks, and than I'm weekly after that! Holy moly; the final countdown!
I have an eye doctors appointment on Tuesday - getting new glassss for the first time in 8 years!! A haircut on Thursday. And my first weekly OB check up on Friday.
@McFarKane oddly enough my Eye Dr doesn't really see me during pregnancy for new prescriptions because pregnancy can greatly effect eyesight. I'm curious to see if they say anything about that to you too?
@mama5181 I worked as an optician's assistant for a year and heard the same thing. So I thought that was interesting too. But maybe they've discovered it's not a big enough difference to be concerned? I for one don't think my eyes have changed during this pregnancy, so I dunno.
@Mama5181 Oh man. I've never heard that and didn't even think to mention it when I made the appointment. I just called and left a message asking about it. Thanks for the heads up.
Same as @kitkat8387 this is my last week without an OB visit... weird! I do have a dentist appointment Wednesday so it'll be good to get that out of the way.
ETA I just scheduled my prenatal massage for Thursday!! I'm so excited
@Mama5181@HGRich They called back and said they'll see you within the first 6months but once you hit the third trimester they recommend waiting until after the baby is born. So, no glasses for me yet. I guess I can add that to the list of what I'm looking forward to afterwards. Thank you guys for saying something and saving me the trip!
The questions thread just reminded me... My husband and I have our labor and delivery class all day Saturday! I guess that counts as an appointment this week! I'm looking forward to it and feel like it will make things start to feel more real/close!
I had my bi-weekly appt today (34 weeks) , for HB and urine . I didn't gain any weight in the past 2 weeks ( though I've been trying!!) the fundal height was is only 1 week behind- but they're going to do an ultrasound next week to see how much the baby weighs. Since my appt I have been so hungry! I swear the baby has tugged on the umbilical cord and said "feed me!" I'm eating non stop!
Just got back from our appt at 35 + 2. BP normal, fundal height was 34 and they did the Group B test and cervical check. First, the Group B was way less dramatic than I was picturing. Second, the cervical check was WAY more uncomfortable than I imagined. I was 1-2 cm dilated and 50% thinned out. Baby is head down and engaged, yay! Thinking about denying anymore checks because I feel like if there is any real change in those numbers, it probably means labor is impending and I would find out soon anyway
P.S.- All I could think of when the doctor told me those numbers was "Whew, I'm so glad the ladies on TB have mentioned that you can be dilated/effaced for weeks before birth and have it mean nothing. Otherwise, as a FTM I would be in a straight up panic right now". So thanks, ladies. For helping me keep my cool and be able to calm down DH
Routine appointment on Thursday. I've been bringing my toddler to my appointments because I have evidence his screaming down the halls can shave 10-15 minutes off my normal visit (they take foorrevver, easily 45 minutes each time for the wellness checks).
Lastly this Saturday I have my first chiropractor appointment.
34 week appt today went well. I'm having a few weird vision problems. It's not pre-e as my blood pressure is normal and there's no protein in my urine. She wants me to see my eye doctor. Almost there ladies!!
had my growth scan and apt with my OB this am (35 wks tmw). Everything looks good. Baby is head down and nice and average for size. I'm now switched to weekly apts. Wow... we are getting close guys!

So today's appts were long- (I had an NST, an u/s and an appt ) but I feel like I finally got some answers and facts from the doc I saw today. She finally brought up IUGR and said they would not let me go past 39 weeks. Even tho her size is in the 12th percentile now, my belly is still measuring behind(32 weeks was today's measurement) and I'm still not gaining weight. I haven't been given a date yet- but this April Fools baby will now join us sometime in March.
I go back on Thursday next week for another round of tests and then we go from there. The OB seemed concerned about me doing kick counts, so I've got to keep track of those too.
So our timeline just got shortened up a bit so I need to make sure we are ready for an itty bitty baby here in about 3 weeks or so

We have a child birth class tomorrow (class number 4 of 6) then on Friday I have a growth scan (32 weeks) and my midwife wants me to see an OB so i have an appointment with someone I've never met before but then returning to her. That is the first of my bi-weekly appointments
@twistsandturnsto2 I'm sorry that you have had a complicated pregnancy with so many tests, but its nice to have a shortened timeline (as long as baby is healthy).
@KirstinH88 it's a whole different animal knowing that I won't have to wait it out for labor-- I'm panicking and relaxed about it all at once. The deadline will definitely help in the end tho- DS was a week late and it was torture to go past my dd and have no idea when he would get here. At the end of the day tho- I just hope LO ends up here and healthy.

Impromptu appt today! Barely slept last night with bad chest pains/heartburn and just overall discomfort and pain. I decided to work from home today. I'm assuming my top twin is pressing up against my diaphragm but since a lot of twin pregnancies start to complete around 35 weeks, I really want to be sure there's nothing else. He's been high the whole time and I even had an appt yesterday and no issues. We shall see if this is just something I have to endure for the next couple weeks

Boooo my breastfeeding class was postponed due to weather. It's barely snowing and it's like 45 degrees people. It's rescheduled for 3/22 at which point I'll be 38w1d... Hopefully I get to take this class before my little man is here
@kitkat8387 I'm with you there! DH was sick for ours and I really wanted him there so the next one they have is 4/5! 12 days before EDD... does not sound like a fun time. Also, postponing for barely any snow in not freezing temps is ridiculous.
Bah, didn't gain any weight this past month. OB still isn't worried because fundal height was right on track still and all of my other tests (BP, urine, baby girl's heart rate) is all normal. She did say that she might schedule me for a growth ultrasound to check on things if I'm still worried after my next appointment (my insurance is really stingy about ultrasounds other than the AS, so she's not going to send me unless she can get it coded as medically necessary so they'll pay for it). This pregnancy is so different from my one with DS that it's blowing my mind.
@HGRich hopefully we both get to take our classes before our babies arrive! DH said "why are you so worried, you have boobs, what else do you need?" Clearly this man has no clue and really needs to attend this class lol
After another failed NST at our appointment yesterday we spent the whole day in L&D. Because of her not responding perfectly, me having sporadic contractions, and my wonky blood sugar we had to stay overnight. It was a crappy night. They should have just sent me home and let me come back today. I never saw a Dr. They never put me back on a monitor. I barely saw the nurse. When I did DH finally asked why were we even here and she basically agreed it was dumb they didn't just send us home. I finally got some Tylenol at around 11 that I had been asking for since 630. I slept awful between pregnancy, this bed and this insane storm we had all night(I'm dreading going home to a completely flooded basement) And my uterus aches so bad from the hard core contractions of yesterday I want to cry. I'm supposed to see the dietician and my OB at some point this morning then hopefully going home.
I had an appointment today. I thought it would be two weeks before our next appointment but she wants to see me next week and she's going to do a cervical exam. It kind of freaks me out that we are starting weekly appointments because I'm 6 weeks from my due date.
Had 36 week OB appointment today. All the normal stuff looking good, I think I either gained or lost a lb - I can't remember and OB never mentions it, heartrate in 150s, lots of baby movement. Had strep B (results next week) and internal check. Cervix is soft and dilated to 1cm. Baby is head down. OB was happy with belly growth and results of Monday's scan though she didn't really discuss anything. One unexpected chore; had to stop by the hospital on my way home and give them a blood sample so they have my type and antibody panel "on file" (I guess in case of an emergency transfer?). Said they'd check again when I was admitted for delivery. Never had to do that before, but at least they took me back immediately despite a crowded waiting room at the lab.
