@kjd291 nothing major!!! Consistent, but minimal pain. Pretty certain I'm in "early labor" but who knows how long this will last. My "show" has randomly continued since yesterday so I'm having faith it will be this weekend at some point.
@hippiemama Hope things don't keep you waiting for too long!! The whole pre-labor thing can be such a tease!! New moon tonight is suppossed to bring more babies (or so said my midwife)
Cleaning day today!! (taking a break because my back is starting to hurt). Anytime a room is done being cleaned, my anxiety starts to ease a bit. Let me tell you though, I am the least sentimental person right now in this nesting phase. I'm throwing out/donating everything in my sight.
Grateful my DH is doing everything I ask with zero complaint, which I think he finally realized is the only way he will survive today. DD is even helping with the dusting
My mom watched DD, and hubby and I went out for a nice afternoon kid free. food, strolling, and shopping. DH bought me an estate ring (partially an owed Christmas present if y'all remember that rant about not getting a present for Christmas this year) and overall its been a really nice way to spend a day distracted from being overly pregnant
Thanks everyone!! The last time I let DH buy me jewelry was a wedding band 5years ago... I hate spending on anything that isn't an essential. Hah. so it is a special little treat. :]
Also bought a pineapple and ate almost the entire thing for dinner #1
My random for today is that I'm about to quit wearing makeup all together because my belly is now too big for me to comfortably lean over the bathroom counter I have to stand on my tippy toes and try to suck it in (HA!) to get close enough to the mirror that I can use it to put makeup on!!

I was at that point mid january, but more because I just stopped giving a f.
@kjd291 I thought the normal pregnancy insomnia was bad....night before scheduled induction insomnia is worse! I've been up every hour. Luckily, I've been able to go back to sleep some. I'm praying that today is your day too!!
I was up most of the night too but didn't pick up my phone because I wanted so desperately for sleep to come back. This cold is kicking my butt on top of having more acid reflux than usual & rib pain, so I just gave up at some point on going back to sleep & started working on my homework again. I figure I can continue working on it a few more hours before work and hopefully I can crash tonight after I get home. Hope you ladies get some rest & good luck today with everything @Lexxilou1986!!
@serenity13 sorry you got no sleep! Hope you have a good day and get lots of sleep tonight!
Thinking of you today @Lexxilou1986 I can only imagine sleeping with the anticipation of today! ((Well... I feel anticipation, but I don't KNOW today is the day.)) t&p for everything to go smoothly!
@kjd291 41 weeks! You know what I did last week that DH thinks made labor start? I had previously been hurrying around trying to accomplish everything. Then I think Tuesday I realized there was nothing more to do. I relaxed and prayed to God, Ok I am ready to have a baby.
@disneybaby84 oh trust me, God and I have been having numerous conversations about it ; ]
I did skip church this morning. After being up all night unable to sleep, I decided to let myself stay home and relax... and also to avoid ALL the "you're still pregnant" comments.

I used a 24 hour urine collection as an excuse to skip church today to, but really I just wanted to avoid the pregnancy small talk, lol.
Induction has officially started! They gave me cytotec by mouth and I've been kinda uncomfortable but just had a bigger contraction (I'd had some irritability and small contractions). Woohoo! Hopefully, things go smooth! Thanks for everyone's well wishes!!
@kjd291 I feel like I'm one of the people from your church because I check back daily to see if you're still pregnant. I was past due with my first so I know the feeling.
I'm sorry you're a full week over You don't give me much hope...
And to throwing out everything in sight - yes, very unsentimental nesting!
goegeous ring, love it, and your unswollen fingers! Jealous. I was thinking I might buy an estate ring with LOs birthstone & gift it to her when she is of age. However, will I officially make it to March
I am sitting in the car watching my husband and son play at the park because the lower back pain is REAL. Seriously, it is a low, pressure like punch that is in the exact same place as my back labor contractions from my last pregnancy. Not contractions, exactly, but not fun.
I've been a little MIA due to moving, which for the record totally blows when you're this far along. Boxes and packing paper have taken over our new house and I'm so over it! I wish I had a magic fairy who could come and unpack everything in its place and just get it over with! I thought I was done with the kitchen yesterday, but nope, found a couple more boxes in the dining room with our pots and pans and other crap. How on earth I thought I was done without having our pots and pans unpacked is beyond me. If I could put off unpacking I totally would, but we need to eat! Next will be our bedroom and then son's clothes. My husband is responsible for the garage where there's TONS of stuff. I don't envy him.
Btw, @kjd291 I love love love your ring and I hope your little gal decides to show her face soon!
@kiyamurph I'm sorry you're surrounded by boxes and feeling so done! Bht glad you're getting settled slowly but surely in your new home!! Hope that the days can be filled with being productive but not overwhelmed!
So I just did some reading on various sites for how a short cervix might affect delivery/when your baby is born... and although it varies for everyone and there's really no way of knowing, I just read that for women like me who between weeks 20-24 had a cervix measuring less than 2.5 cm (mine was 2.3 at 21w) the "mean birth gestational age" was 36.5 weeks....that's like less than a week for me! I didn't really think of it before today that there could be a possibility of going early due to my short cervix (well I did a few months ago but kinda put it out of my mind since) but now I'm a little freaked out because I feel like there's so much I still need to do before baby comes and I really do want him to be term before he makes his debut...stay put baby boy!
@kiyamurph I hope moving and unpacking gets easier soon!!! The one upside to moving while pregnant is that as much harder as it is while you're doing it, you are also that much more gratified when you are done. We moved about 7 weeks ago, and it was terrible. We still own our old house, and it's only 2 houses down the road, so we have been terrible about procrastinating. I refused to let DH bring any boxes to the new house at a faster pace than I could unpack them, and we are still working out cleaning our storage spaces like the basement and garage....and the baby's furniture is also still there, which is troublesome given the fact that we are having a baby in 4 days! Long story short, we are now mostly settled, and I feel so much better being mostly done with the process.

I feel you! My dining room is currently filled with boxes from our move and I just walk by and pretend they're not there everyday. We don't really NEED what's in there...I think.
@serenity13 I had a friend who has a shortened cervix (was discovered her second pregnancy because she had something else going on, I believe). Her first baby was over a week late and I think her second was closer to due date but I think just a few days early. I hope that's some encouragement to you..!

Officially 41 weeks pregnant
@kjd291 I love that meme!! Haha. I was just telling DH last night I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever.
