Congrats @brela11! Try to embrace your positive and be happy! It is so exciting! Have you had failed IVF cycles in the past? I'm sorry if you have already discussed this.
ET update this morning: ((ask how much water you should drink before hand! They told me partially full bladder - I drank 24 oz. they made me pee and start over with only 6 oz!)) They transferred one embryo that was rated 4AA! That's perfect according to them! We have a 60% chance of it resulting in a baby but that's supposedly a good number! There are 2 others - 3AA and 3AB they are freezing today. And then we have two more (morula?) that might result in "blastocysts" tomorrow. 2 are way behind (multi cell?) & 2 died. They will call me tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday with results of our other 4. After tomorrow If there isn't anymore growth, the last 4 potentials will be discarded. So either way we have the one they put in and 2 frozen!
@krenee124 that's great results and great news! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will work out for you
I got "the call" yesterday afternoon: they froze 4 embryos on day 5 (1 x good quality, 3 x average), and there are 4 more that are lagging a bit behind and I will get to know today whether they have developed into blastocysts. I'm so so happy - I never thought we would be able to freeze 4, I'm really over the moon!!!

so I'm dumb and tested this morning (7dp5dt) on a first response and it was a BFP.. not super dark but very noticeable. I'm still getting the dark spotting here and there today so I'm hoping my trigger is out of my system. I'll test again tomorrow to see if it's darker, I was excited then "blah" all day as I know they said you can have false positives. Why can't we just know for sure?? Ha. My husband and I haven't mentioned it all day, like we want to believe it but know it's still early. FX for everyone ❤
Just got back from my transfer! I was so nervous because I only had two fertilize but the one looked awesome and the other one was probably just a day behind. They decided to put them both back which was a surprise to me! I'm really excited now! Now how to occupy my brain for 2 weeks?! Haha
AF arrived so natural conception after trigger did not happen. We were prepared for this so I already had a baseline scheduled for this Friday. I think my RE won't waste anytime to get me started on injections this coming weekend - I've had the meds sitting around for the past month. I'm still on 3 patches of estrogen 2x a week and follicle count has been good. Hoping these follies are all similiar in size and I won't have a dominant follicle issue.

@brela11 thank you! I tested again today and it was darker and got a digital test positive. I think because I'm still spotting and have absolutely no signs I need doctor confirmation but I'm cautiously excited with my daughter she was textbook early signs so this is throwing me. how are you feeling?? Can't wait for your ultrasound!
It's quite the process! I hope this is the last period I have for a long time - it's a tough one this month I think because of being on estrogen for over a month. The symptoms have been really unpleasant.

Hi @Hoping10! Wishing you the best of luck! I am also a newbie to IVF.
Got a call yesterday. Out of 16 retrieved, 8 fertilized, 5 made it to blastocyst! Now we are waiting for PGS results and proceeding with frozen transfer.
For those of you who have had FET, I am asking for your wisdom. I am scheduled to give a conference on the week of my expected FET date. To be more specific, the transfer day is predicted to be Friday, March 10th. My presentation is on Tuesday, March 7th. This requires me to fly out of town. I was going to stay the whole week for the rest of the conference, but obviously that is out of the question. How often did you have to go to your doctor for monitoring the week of transfer? How many days can I be gone and not ruin my chances? Thank you in advance for your input!
@lizycs I hope and pray that everything goes smoothly with your transfer. I've not done a transfer yet so can't offer any advice.
@PolythenePam so pleased that your line darkens! I hope you end up with a healthy pregnancy.
I had appts yesterday and this morning, ended up having to stim 2 extra days. I might have melted down yesterday after my appointment, it wasn't my finest hour. Poor husband. Triggering tonight for Thursday morning retrieval. My doctor is super pleased with my response and said I've got "rockstar" ovaries, he literally stopped counting the eggs today at my appointment. I'm so relieved that I responded so well on one hand, on the other I'm at risk for OHSS so I won't get to do a fresh transfer. : ( My levels are at 5100 as of yesterday. Dr said he's going on three years without someone ending up with bad OHSS and he's not going to start now. That was hard to hear yesterday especially since we would of transferred on our anniversary, how fitting would that of been. As we are out of pocket it will drive up the expense, I think. I'll find out this afternoon what additional monies we will need to scrape together. I'll report how everything is going on my possible embryos but I'll be joining the March FET group.
So many updates!!! I took a small break while I was waiting for my final embryo count (my Dr only updates on day 5 before freezing) and didn't want to drive myself crazy. We ended up with 6 going for genetic testing! Not trying to get my hopes up - but we're happy with the number
Now it's just waiting for genetic tests results to come in and review with the Dr.
@lizycs. Thank you so much! Good luck to you with PGS testing! I anticipate doing a frozen transfer in March as well after PGS testing.
I'm currently on day 6 of stims. Went in for monitoring this AM- largest follicle is 18 as of now and doc said I'm responding well. I started ganirelix last night- that really burned and turned red for about an hour afterwards!
Waiting on next instructions..

@Hoping10 - yay for responding well! did you ice beforehand when you did the ganirelix last night? I've heard icing can numb it so you don't feel the burn as much...
AFM, meds are all organized, and looking forward to my last day of BCP on Thursday and my baseline appointment on Sunday. Random question for ladies who have done a cycle before...I usually get AF 5 days after stopping BCP, and "they" say that you go in for baseline on CD2. My appt is scheduled for only 3 days after stopping BCP - does this matter at all?
@caseyw8784 my place has you call on day 1 of your period then come in on day 2 or 3, maybe if you don't get your period right away give a call? Maybe it doesn't matter but I have no clue haha. Once you start, it seems like I could get in day of if needed at my clinic so I'm sure all appts are flexible if needed. so excited for you to get rolling!
@PolythenePam - my place is usually the same, i thought! i was expecting just to call on CD1...or maybe they'll do the baseline and tell me to wait to start the stims until CD2...? ::shrugs::
@caseyw8784 - My clinic told me that I may or may not get AF after I stop BC and to not worry about it so maybe your clinic is thinking the same. I stopped my BC 4 days before my baseline and got AF the night before my baseline appointment.
@caseyw8784 I got spotting day after I stopped BCP. My nurse told me that even if I didn't receive AF to have my baseline ultrasound on 4 days after. She said they just wanted to make sure there were no cysts or anything like that.
Sorry I've been MIA for a bit ladies. Been waiting to hear about how many of my embryos made it to freeze and biopsy with no chance of an update until today so it was easiest to disconnect and focus on non baby stuff in the meanwhile for my sanity! But we found out today that of the 14 fertilized, 8 made it to freeze and will now be PGS tested! I know at my age many will be abnormal but I feel so much better about my chances with 8! So relieved. Now the next 2 week wait begins hahaha
@PolythenePam congrats on the BFP! I hope that line keeps getting darker and you get an awesome beta! So exciting!
@Enchilada yay for 8! That is an awesome starting number. FX for lots of PGS normal embabies! Keep us posted! Hope you find something to distract you for these next few weeks. So. Much. Waiting. You'd think we'd be used to it by now, but nope! Lol
@caseyw8784 so exciting that it's almost time to start your stems! I know you've been waiting for a long time and I'm sure you are SO excited and ready to get the show on the road! GL and hope you feel great through stims and get lots of nice looking follicles.
AFM... I am FINALLY starting to feel better. This weekend consisted of me on the couch experiencing some pretty awful OHSS symptoms. The bloating was real and painful. I took the Dr's advice and had a ton of water and Gatorade and lots and lots of protein. Apparently that did the job because I am feeling tons better today. Which is a huge relief because everything I read said to expect to feel crappy for 7-10 days. I also got some very good news day with our Day 5 embryo report. Out of the 22 fertilized, we had 14 make it to freeze and possibly 4 more that could catch up tomorrow. I am pretty shocked that we had such a good response but obviously thrilled and feeling very fortunate. I am on the younger side and we are paying for everything OOP so we opted out of PGS testing so FX that when transfer day does come we get a normal embryo. Now on to the next step! Waiting for AF and then BCP for a few weeks.
GL to everyone with their ERs this week and to everyone starting stims! Looking forward to hearing lots of good news from everyone.

PS if you have some advice as how to keep up with everything I would appreciate all of them...
Had a monitoring ultrasound this morning. Things look as expected - tonight will be day 4 of stims. 4 small follies on my right, 1 at 12mm and 1 at 9mm on left with 3other small ones as well. Waiting on call from nurse to see if any adjustment of meds and I go back Friday for another scan and more BW.
@Enchilada those are great numbers. FX for your embabies and a good PGS report!
I'm out, AF arrived last night. I had a little spotting the day before so I was at least not blindsided. My beta isn't until tomorrow so I'm not sure if they'll just have me wait til day 3 so I can do an ultrasound too. Praying there aren't any cysts and I can go into another round but we'll see. FX for everyone else in the tww!!
@caseyw8784 used ice last night and ganirelix was much more bearable!
@Aera11 I'm so so sorry..Hopefully you can go right into the next cycle!

I currently have about 12 follicles all around 10-14mm. Guessing I won't trigger until Saturday, but who knows. They also found a polyp today in my uterus, which they said I might have always had but is growing now because of the hormones. We might have to freeze all embryos and do FET once the polyp is removed or goes away. Has anyone else had experience with a polyp showing up?

So had my first ultrasound yesterday. When the nurse called she didn't mention how many follicles & I forgot to ask lol. But she said my estradiol is 585 & they were happy with that because they want it above 300. She had to put me on cetricide so I don't ovulate though. they guesstimate an egg retrieval for Monday or Tuesday. I have my next appointment tomorrow morning. I'm actually doing this by myself so I needed to order donor sperm to have it delivered for tomorrow. Don't know why, but that made it so much more 'real'. Hoping everything goes as planned, my belly is starting to get sore from all the shots lol
@famiylgrl86 That's so exciting! What is the process for ordering the donor sperm? Do you have a donor picked out and you just have to place the order?
