@JNR6510 Yes, everything I've read says it's due to our blood pressure increasing, and blood vessels expanding to accommodate our increased blood supply. But it's still disconcerting when you stand up and realize you're about to fall over!

The study I had read said blood pressure decreases during first tri due to the blood vessels dilating, hitting a plateau usually sometime in second tri. After it plateaus it generally stays close to that range with a slight increase possible.
It's kind of like a garden hose. Dilated blood vessels would be the same as not covering the opening of the hose. Water runs out at an even steady pace without much force. Constricted blood vessels are like covering the hose opening with your thumb. Water then sprays out forcefully.
Y'all, my exhaustion is out of this world. I forced myself to go to the gym today - 30 minutes of a (slow) walk on the treadmill, 15 minutes of stretching, and 15 minutes of light weights followed by a little grocery shopping and getting gas and I. Am. DONE!
Also, my OB said not to do weights over 20lbs. I used to chest press at least 60-70lbs and the 20s today about did me in! What is happening to me?! (I know what's happening, it's just wild!)

@k8ywags thanks for the reminder about Metamucil. I'm going to get some tomorrow! Only thing is im not crazy about the taste but maybe if I mix the powder with OJ? Suggestions welcome.
Teachers: How are you working through these symptoms? My symptoms have gone into overdrive these past few days, and I can't keep anything down. I can't imagine going to work tomorrow.
@heatherwilson321 I left work early on Friday due to a head cold that came outta left field. I feel like my symptoms are starting to get a little out of control this weekend. Im not digging any food and keep gagging. Good times.
I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow!! I seriously can't wait for second trimester. It's my favourite. If I had a choice and say I'd stay in second trimester forever.
@heatherwilson321 Teaching is killing me. I cry almost every night at the thought of having to do it again the next day. I try to just get through 30 minutes at a time. Luckily, usually from about 8:30-11:00 I don't feel SO terrible, and then I get another little break from about 2:00-3:00. My kids have definitely been doing more independently than normal (they're first graders).
At this point, I'm really counting on this nausea toning down at 12 weeks, which is 3 more school weeks... 2 of which are 4 day weeks. (Not that I'm counting, lol.)
That's true, thank goodness there's no school on Friday. One of my colleagues generously volunteered to cover my basketball game duty tomorrow, otherwise I'd be there till 8 pm selling pizza and trying not to gag.
@heatherwilson321@HollyGolightly09 it has been rough. The past week I felt a little bit more like a person but man my management has gone downhill since Christmas break. I don't feel well. If I start feeling as bad as I did a few weeks ago I'm just going to take more days off. I should have taken more off than I did. It's been terrible.
Is anyone else still experiencing cramps? I'm 6 weeks 6 days, and I keep having cramps throughout the day. I don't remember it lasting this long with my other pregnancies.

I'm a clinical social worker and I've had a few bouts of nausea when with clients. Hoping I don't have to bolt out of any sessions to the bathroom! FX
