I absolutely love my Hyundai Sonata Limited! I feel like I made the right choice. The trunk is very spacious and the inside is just so roomy and comfortable. BUT my darling step daughter made a comment the other day on our way to Disney asking if we have another baby where is he or she going to sit since my mom always comes with us... I guess I never thought of that..HA! When and if that time comes I am thinking an SUV with a 3rd row like the Santa Fe that was mentioned. Those are very nice!!!

@Lynna813 Babygearlab has tons of reviews for all baby products. I have added them here for you to compare pampers to target. I personally have not used target diapers and also heard mixed reviews. We are a pampers family, so absorbent!
@DachshundMomma My lease was up on my scion tc 2 weeks ago and I was originally going to go for a Toyota but was talked into a Chevy Trax. I love it so far! Plenty of room for the stroller and I'm not cramping into the back seat of a coupe anymore to get the carseat in.....DH had to do it occasionally and I was over here like:
Thank you ladies! I currently have a Mazda 3. It has a ton of trunk room and is amazing on gas mileage, which is definitely something I need. I had an accord before this and loved it. I'm thinking of going the suv route. I love driving them and they're spacious. I'm going on a road trip this summer and I feel awful for my sister who I convinced to be my copilot lol.
Just came back from the pediatrician. Apparently Elise is developmentally a 9 month old. She said she expects Elise to be walking by her next appointment. Save me!!!
I'm the weird one whose dream car truly is a minivan. I've always driven a small SUV which is fine for now, but man...gimme dat Honda Odyssey with those sliding doors and all those cup holders!

I got upgraded to the Ford Explorer- limited. Tons of room, drives beautifully, and adults can actually fit in the third row if necessary. Mine also has heated and cooled seats, and assisted cruise control. It's epic.
Also, hated pampers, here. They worked like garbage for AJ. So many leaks and blow outs. We use Huggies swaddlers. So much better
We have a Ford Escape which is nice but gets bad gas mileage. We have 2 car seats, DH who is 6'2" and me. However, if we are traveling with the dog, stroller, etc we take our F-150. So much room in that thing! I love my truck but wish I had a Subaru Outback instead of the Escape because of gas mileage. I love having a hatchback. It's really easy to change a diaper in the back. Also when potty training we kept a little toilet back there for DD1.
Diapers depend on baby's body. I loved LUVs for DD1. However, DD2 kept blowing out in them. We switched to Kirkland brand and love them!
I agree on the whole diapers fit to the body. Huggies and pampers work so crappy for baby J. Luvs are the only ones that have worked so far. I'm glad that someone gave me a box at my baby shower because otherwise I would have lived with huggies.

Oh my gosh I never even thought of the ease of diaper changes! Changing them in my current vehicle is a real pain in the tush. We also take the truck a lot but at 11 mpg compared to the cars 38 mpg...it's a no brainer for long trips!
Weighing in on diapers: We cloth diaper 95% of the time. During the night or long trips we go with disposable. We use Up&Up and absolutely love them. We tried other brands and just weren't impressed. When the Up&Up started leaking, I went up a size and no issues since. DS can go all night and not leak.
Totally agree on every baby is different. We use Pampers and Luvs SOMETIMES. She totally blows out Huggies. Luvs work if she is just going into a new size but if she is in the middle of the weight range they don't fit her well at all. Pampers always hold it all in and are comfy for her...although I'm so not impressed with their rewards program...I feel like in order to get anything decent and not just enter contests I'll have to save points until she is potty trained.
@kmurdock925 Totally agree on Pamper's rewards program. I keep entering those damn codes and pretty sure I'm up to a magazine subscription....like I really want to read a magazine in my spare time?
@HoneyBear40 hahahaha truth! I have a stack of magazines that I got from that $2 subscription Destination Maternity had from when I was preggo that I haven't (and probably never will) read yet

Bagging groceries, she approaches me to ask if I have a church. I do. I kindly hand her flyer back to her. "If you died today could you say you'd go to heaven?" Yes. "What about your baby girl? Would she?"
@LDSJM123 ugh I can't stand that. People used to hand out flyers to me when I worked retail and tell me I should try going to church sometime. I just said "Thanks, I go every Sunday," and hand their flyer back. When they pushed it on me, I'd take it and promptly throw it away once they left the building.
Ugh, I seem to have some congestion issues. My ears are so plugged!! Nothing else is an issue though. Strange!! What are the meds we're able to take while breastfeeding??

You'll have to scroll about halfway down passed all the natural remedies, but this is a pretty comprehensive list. And I trust Kelly Mom.
@LDSJM123 I would have politely said, "if you don't get out of my face, you're gonna find out real quick where you go when you die" but I'm petty. The audacity of her. Gross.
I'm late to the car discussion, but I've had my 2005 CRV since high school and I'm in love with it. I will have CRVs until I die. Mine has a table and cooler built into the back. I have the LX so it has leather, heated seats, a moon roof and I still have a tape player/6 CD changer! I will cry when it comes time to get a new one. She's my first baby.
So I've spent the better part of the day at the ER. i started feeling like I was having heart palpitations this morning and my heart rate monitor kept saying my resting rate was in the 100s. The checked and my blood pressure was high, but they keep saying the baby's heart rate was too low. They're sending me home and I have to follow up with my ob tomorrow. I don't know what any of this means, but I keep trying to stay calm.
To top it all off, my husbands parents said they were too tired to come watch julia while we were at the er. So she was super fussy and it was hard to concentrate on her and myself. Luckily her godparents canceled going to some event and came and took her home and put her yo bed and everything.
Did anyonr have a low baby heart rate and everything turned out okay?
@babycakesday I'm really sorry to hear that! I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you and your baby!! Keep us posted.
Does anyone feel like they experience an above average amount of spit up still? I'm beginning to think I need to reach out to our pediatrician. My neighbor has a baby about the same age and that LO had to start reflux medicine a while ago. But she would shriek after feedings. L has never done that or ever appeared uncomfortable. But the spit up is excessive. We met a friend for lunch today with a LO born 7/15 and she seemed kind of surprised that L spit up a lot too. She said that had all kinda resolved itself in their house. Ugh!!
@babycakesday Oh no! I'm sorry your day went that way, that's scary! Agreed, keep us posted and I'll be praying for you and the baby! How many weeks are you again?

DS spits up constantly. My pediatrician said that it's because he eats so much so quickly his stomach just fills up, both with gas and milk. So when the gas releases, milk does too. Also if baby is teething there may be more spit up as a result of more saliva going in the belly
babycakesday thinking of you! keep positive- they were "too tired"?? umm- how dare they say the "t" word around a mom of a 6 month old who is pregnant as well...I would've lost it.
