@jjtruffles Oh, no! I have 100 acres of lovely Florida wetlands behind my home, if you'd like to "rehome" that cat. A few gators, bobcats, and at least one cougar, but I bet the kitty will be safe.
I came home to cat pee and a turd on my pillow tonight. Happy Monday to me
Our dog came jetting up the steps, between my legs, while I was carrying M. I ended up partially falling, but catching myself with my shins and elbows so she was safe. Our dog got scolded and sent downstairs. When I got home from work, he had peed on her wicker toybox that we keep in the living room. Clearly out of spite. So I totally feel your pain!
Glad I'm not the only one with a jealous animal. The cat seems to care less but it's usually every other day the dog pees or poops in front of S's dresser in her room.
Oh we've cleaned up so much dog pee....he's worse than a puppy, I think! And he's 9. Yes, I'm convinced it's his way of giving us the finger, haha! It really irritates me when we try hard to do so much for him, too! Like one week I made a point to walk him about 3 out of the 5 work days....we took him on car rides that weekend prior. Nope, still didn't appreciate our efforts and peed in the house.
Glad to hear I'm not alone! I normally close my bedroom door before I leave for the day but I forgot to yesterday & the result was a lovely welcome home present. So disgusting. This poor cat has always just been such a twit though. I've always considered myself a cat person but if she were the first cat I'd ever owned I'd never get another.
My hair is finally growing back after the postpartum hair loss, and now I have tiny baby hairs all over my head. The worst is in my bangs. They are really noticeable. Any tips??? I'm thinking I might get straight across bangs until they grow out.
Ugh! Our dogs too! My male dog who is 12 years old peed on Ava's activity mat and who knows what else. My female dog just pees wherever!! I try to take them out and leave the door open for them to come in and out when they want....nope they rather pee on the carpet or the back of the couch or Ava's toys.

@shaylalr OMG!!! I've been meaning to ask the same question. What is up with the baby hairs?! I have the same problem!!! I don't know what to do!!! Hopefully they fix themselves over time?!? Mine is most noticeable where I part my hair on one side. I don't wear a lot of ponytails. Luckily!
I'm wondering if that was my dogs problem. She was leaking all over the house. Not on AJs things, but EVERWHERE downstairs and then on our bed...I took her to vet, but no infection. The only thing is that she seemed surprised and a bit embarrassed by it, so who knows...
@babycakesday C hates it too. When I put him on his tummy he instantly wants to roll. For Christmas I got him one of those inflatable playmats that you fill with water & his has sea creatures that float around inside. I put him on his tummy looking at that & it usually keeps him distracted enough that I can get 5 minutes of tummy time out of him. Better than nothing. I feel like he is just going to totally skip over crawling because he never wants to be in that position.
Here's a picture because I'm not the best at describing things lol.
@shaylalr@TiffRox81 I am growing in baby hair too, which now just sticks up! I wish I knew the solution, as of now I dont put my hair in a pony tail at work or it looks like I have a baby mullet. At the same all of my hair on the back of my head is still falling it out and gets everywhere.
For the ladies with hair loss, someone on here before had recommended Biotin to help. I started taking that and have noticed that I'm back to my "normal" amount of hair loss. Hope that helps!
I didn't even realize I lost any hair until I noticed all of the baby hairs on my forehead at the hairline where I part my hair...gah. I've started taking prenatal vitamins again in hopes of it helping
We did a combination of tummy time on the boppy with toys in a basket in front of her, tummy time on my chest, tummy time on the chaise of the couch so I could sit in front of her and be at eye level with me singing/clapping/laughing/etc. and tummy time on her play mat. Thankfully DD2 can now go from tummy to sitting and she's crawling so no more tummy time! Soon this stage will be over for you too!
I'm going to try the chaise thing. Maybe that'll distract her. My biggest problem is she just gives up and lays face down crying until someone gets her.
Well my sono and first check went well. Her biggest concern is my weight and I told her I'm trying my best right now by working out and eating healthy. We were planning to tell our family and frienda, but our in laws took.care of telling everyone already.

Whaaaaaaaat???? That's so not cool.
About the in laws, not the sonogram. I'm glad that went well!
I'm really sorry about your inlaws. I can't even fathom how frustrating that is. I'm thankful to have good ones. Reading things like that always make me appreciate them more.
They're just special people who like things their way. I'm pretty chill so I don't usually care, but my mama bear comes out more and more. Plus we've received a few rude comments and unsolicited advise so I think we're just not going to keep people updated. At least I can share with y'all.
@babycakesday I got the playmat off of Amazon. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I know it was cheap. (less than $10) He loves to kick it & smack it, plus like I said it lets me get at least a little tummy time out of him a few times everyday.
The chaise sounds like a good idea! If I had one I'd give that a try.
Has anyone seen the thing on FB where someone writes something like "Lincoln,
Mama and Daddy's love for you is SO Big, it has reached..." and then they add whatever location they are in (usually town and state or something similar) on a piece of paper, then take a picture of that paper against outside scenery where they are (like the person holds it up outside and takes a picture with the beach/out side scenery as a backdrop, and you only see their hand)? I'm a part of a group on FB that some people are doing it (most for spouses) and we decided to do it for Lincoln and then print them out for his scrap book. Anyone interested in participating in something like this? (I figure I am going to try to have it before his 1st birthday) I can share pictures because I'm not great at explaining lol
Forgot to mention that I was giving LO neb treatment the other night and he was trying to eat the vapors going through the mask...I was laughing at him and then noticed two little white "chiclets" peeking through his gums!!!!! I was like yay!
Ladies - I have heard mixed reviews on Target diapers. I heard they are the best then I have heard they are not the same that they changed them? I have yet to try them. Thoughts? Right now Pampers seems to work the best for us especially overnight! NO LEAKS! Where Huggie's she would be wet and it would soak through to her sheets from leaks...huggies "snug and dry" is a dang lie

@lynna813 we used Up&Up for a bit also-we were given a whole bunch of packs of newborn and size 1 at my shower. They weren't horrible, but we did have a lot more blowouts in those than other brands. I also had a lot of issues with the tabs. They were very hard to get on. We prefer Pampers for sure!
It's looking like we are going to have to purchase a new car. My little compact worked great when it was just two of is. But with the car seat in the back, my poor passengers have to basically sit on the dashboard Definitely not wanting to think about that financial investment. Blah! I should've thought ahead and bought a bigger vehicle when I got this one. Any recommendations of a vehicle with lots of space that isn't a mini van?
Lots of space means something different to everyone Exactly how much space you looking for? SUV with a 3rd row? Crossover? Sedan? I have a Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with 3rd row. The limited part just means, my middle row has 2 bucket seats instead of a bench. And my 3rd row only seats 2. So 6 people total. I love how roomy it is without being a van. The third row is easily accessible unlike other SUV's with a bench in the middle. And when I fold down those back 2 seats, there's a good amount of cargo space. They also make standard Santa Fe's too, that seat 5. Those are just as nice. I love my all wheel drive for winter and that it still gets decent gas mileage. 25-27 on the highway. @DachshundMomma
@DachshundMomma We upgraded from my Ford Escape to a Toyota 4Runner in September. I think the Escape would have been fine with one baby, but with two it just wasn't cutting it. I love that in my 4Runner we don't have to move the seats up with the car seats in the back and I have more than enough trunk space for the giant double stroller and groceries. It being 4WD also really helps in NE winters.
A few of my friends purchased the Honda Pilot and love it! I was driving a Toyota Sequoia and stepped down in space to an Audi Q7. Not going to lie, I miss the extra space now that I regularly tote around a stroller, car seat, diaper bag, etc. I'm a nut though...I love tons of extra space, lol! But definitely prefer getting the better gas mileage now. If you're accustomed to a smaller economic car, maybe look at a crossover? Toyota Highlander is another good one!

Yes to the baby hairs! They are the worst. I wear my hair back like every day though, otherwise E yanks it out.
