    How are you doing?
Kind of a roller coaster...I keep checking my temp every morning to make sure it's still up lol. I'm on progesterone vaginally and they gave me a damn red pill which then makes the discharge red...WAY to give a heart attack! My bobs finally felt a little sore last night so that gives me hope since no other symptoms!

    When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow morning...second blood draw. Send yo sticky prayers please!

    Rant/Rave/Questions?
Not a baby related rant but I gave my DD regular milk instead of Lactose free thinking she's been eating cheese forever with no issue. Um no. It gave her a painful rash...poor kiddos kept saying her diaper hurt. Bad mom move...

  • Dang it...my hubby comment fell off the post lol. We've been together 13y and married 7 this year. I'm a Virgo and like things a certain way whereas he's a Libra and avoids conflict so like @sableeg said, we compliment each other really well! He's one of the smartest guys I know and is always the life of the party.

  • How far along are you?
According to my LMP I am 5 weeks 5 days
    How are you doing?
I am ok.  I have been waking up around 5:30 the past few mornings with a headache and nausea.  Feeling tired in the afternoon but I force myself to workout in the evening because it makes me feel so much better.
    When is your next appointment?
January 26th for our first ultrasound!
    Rant/Rave/Questions?
Hating the lack of fresh veggies available. Is it spring yet?!
GTKY:  Tell us about your SO
He is a fire fighter and  the most amazing father in the world. He is home with our son most of the time due to his work schedule and I love coming home to seeing them hanging out doing boy things!   It makes my heart happy.
He also cooks but I do not allow him to touch the laundry ( I am OCD)!

  • Thanks for this!

    How far along are you?
    Today I'm 4w5d

How are you doing? Very excited but very anxious. Don't see my doctor until next week so I'm hoping all goes well then. I'm not having many symptoms, which is the same as my pregnancy with DS but different from PG#2 where I was nauseated all the time. Hoping the lack of symptoms means it's more like my successful pregnancy and trying not to read into it too much.

When is your next appointment? Next Thursday.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Prior to finding out I was pregnant I made it my goal to lose weight so I could get pregnant more easily. I'm trying to keep up the healthy habits but find I'm still losing (not much at all, but still going slightly down). I have to remember that with the exercise I still need to EAT more.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO DH works in the medical field. He is the best dad to our DS and will be fantastic with #2. He is always great at splitting up the housework and caring for DS. Definitely not traditional gender roles in our house. My job is more demanding in terms of time, but we've got a good balance. He was my rock after our loss and let me do what I needed to do to recover. I don't know what I'd do without him!

    How are you doing?
Nervous wreck, I think that'll just be me for the next 9 months. Symptoms don't seem as strong this week, nausea anyway. I've stopped POS, I think it was making me too crazy.

    When is your next appointment?
Tonight, it's actually my first appt. it's with the nurse to go over everything. Not sure if I'll get examined or get an ultrasound, going to ask though! Had my first blood draw a week and a half ago which showed low progesterone, need to get follow up blood work but Dr wanted me on the meds for a week before, so I'll go tomorrow after work.

    Rant/Rave/Questions?
Nothing really this week. I posted a question as a new discussion regarding prenatal testing

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO
we've been together 16 years (started dating in middle school, broke up a few times in high school), married 5. He's a great guy- husband and father, he does a ton for me and our family, very hands on. Only thing we really fight about is sex of course. Our personalities are complete opposite, he's very outgoing and I'm very shy. He's in sales, super hardworking, and likes sports and outdoorsy stuff.

  • How far along are you? 6w4d

How are you doing? I keep thinking of things I want to do (like how we will announce, babymoons, decorating the nursery...) but then I get sad and think I should wait until I know this one will stick. Which drives me insane because I'm the type of person that has to do everything early and have everything set in place right away. No procrastinating here, I like to be fully prepared.

When is your next appointment? Monday

Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm dying from cedar fever, and nothing that I can take is helping. I cant wait until I can breathe like a normal person again.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO He's pretty great. We've been married 3.5 years (together almost 7 total) and we have similar tastes in decor but aside from that we are complete opposites from each other which works out great for us. We are good at balancing each other and keeping each other in check. Although he loves our pets but does not encourage my dream of adopting and bringing home every homeless animal that needs my love :(

  • How far along are you? A little over 5 weeks..

How are you doing? I'm ok. I've had 2 mc in the past few months (1 blighted ovum and 1 unexplained) so I have been cautious however, also not letting myself really "believe" I'm even pregnant until I see the ultrasound.. I only joined this group to see if this particular thread was up, because everyone was so supportive last time I lost the baby. Sometimes I completely forget which is probably better for me, since I am worried I will overthink things if I start to get excited, and it is still early. I made my doctor test my progesterone, which ended up being low! I'm happy that I am on supplements and hoping that keeps this baby growing and healthy.

When is your next appointment? January 20th -- will be 6 + 5 so hoping so see something but may not be likely.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Rave that I'm happy my boobs have been sore. RANT that I can't exercise until my ultrasound (going CRAZY not moving) and today I had a panicked thought that I should look at the ingredients in my makeup. Anyone else have to switch products??

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO He's great :) Really the yin to my yang.. he is calm and quiet and has grown so much over our last difficult year of trying to conceive. He is a true source of comfort to me.
  • @ashley2824 I hate when symptoms don't seem as strong! I swear, I pinch my nipples 100 x a day to see if they are still sore! I feel like a crazy person, and start to panic when I think it went away

Refresher: miscarried my first pregnancy on Halloween of this past year at 8 weeks.

How far along are you? 5+6

How are you doing? Still kind of going back and forth...I'll be doing great, feeling really positive, and then I'll suddenly feel 100% sure I'm going to miscarry again.

When is your next appointment? As of now, Tuesday. I had my blood work done for the 2nd time yesterday, so unsure if they'll want to redraw before then or not.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Just concerned about my progesterone... last Friday (at 5+1) my HCG was 3800 but progesterone was only 11.1 If it wasn't up when they checked yesterday, I plan on requesting supplements even if they don't bring it up. I've read that some Dr's don't supplement unless it is under 10, but I don't feel comfortable with 11.1

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO He's great most of the time  We are a lot alike in many ways, but also very different in how we deal with things. He probably cleans the house more than I do, and would do absolutely anything in the world for me (as my mom LOVES to remind me if I ever get annoyed with him, lol).
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @HollyGolightly09 I had to request Progesterone from mine as well. I'm not sure why he wasn't more proactive on it.. it was frustrating because for me I felt like every second counted (even though I know it wasn't that "extreme" in terms of timing). I've been on it for about a week now-- good luck to you and I'm crossing my fingers!

I just replied to the Original Post from last week because I did not see this one, so I am just re posting.

How far along are you?  4wks 4days

How are you doing? Doing quite well, no real symptoms yet, except sensitive nipples.

When is your next appointment? January 23rd

    Rant/Rave/Positive
Husband will be out of town all of 1st Trimester! He left 2 days before my BFP, and I haven't told him yet. He is in the US Navy. I don't want him to be worried. I have had 3 previous losses. My mom is coming to town for my 8wk appointment on February 8th, I've never made it past 8wks. I don't know when/how to tell him. On my last pregnancy I waited until 5wks, and asked him to keep quiet while he was gone for 3 weeks on the West Coast, and I found out later he told around 10 people because he was so excited. Which is nice that he was so excited, but I asked him not to tell, and he did anyways. So I am nervous he will do the same again, so I almost want to surprise him at homecoming with a 13wk bump like hey big daddy looks like Santa left a XMas present (we conceived on Xmas based on LMP). I dunno. I'm really frustrated on what to do, maybe he learned his lesson when he had to go back and tell everyone the bad news? I just want to keep this a little secret. The only people who know are my Mom, my best friend here in FL, and my workout partner. HELP!

GTKY:  Did you set a resolution for 2017?
I wanted to lose weight, looks like the joke is on me, I will be gaining weight.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO
He's pretty awesome, super supportive, but can be frustrating (can't all men) - see rant above. Love him to pieces though, our 3 year wedding anniversary is on Jan 18th - we've been together for 7.5 years.
  • @eahayes  I have always hated to be one of "those" people, but damn it... it's just too important! What was your progesterone before the supplements?

Edited to Add Refresher, because reading comprehension is hard. Trying for four years. Two miscarriages, one eight years ago at 12 weeks, one chemical pregnancy this past May.

    How far along are you?
    5+3

How are you doing? So far, so good. Most of my symptoms are noticeable but mild to moderate, and I'm feeling very positive. This is the first pregnancy I've ever had that looked and felt like a pregnancy is supposed to look and feel. It gives me hope. I did have my first totally hormonal breakdown last night. I was standing there half naked and bloated, ugly crying in the doorway between our bedroom and living room, and probably looked very pathetic. DH was very, very sweet about it.

When is your next appointment? Monday, 1/23.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Does anyone have any experience with acupuncture while pregnant? I'm going to discuss it with our doctor/midwife team, but I'm considering trying it to help with my fibromyalgia since I can't take any of the usual meds.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO DH and I were college sweethearts. We met on Labor Day of my freshman year (he was a junior), started dating in mid-November, and were engaged by Spring Break, because we are crazy. (I literally brought him home for the week, and on the last night told my parents, "Well, I'm glad you like him, because I'm going to marry him." My mom assumed I meant some day. She was wrong. I meant in a year and three months. If my child ever did this to me, I would throttle them.) It's worked out really well for us, though! Our 10th anniversary is in July. He's a smarty pants computer engineer, and he's pretty nerdy about everything else, too- loves playing World of Warcraft and Magic the Gathering, all his favorite shows are Sci-fi, we play tons of strategic board games together, etc. He's my absolute best friend in the world, and in a lot of ways I'm actually glad we got a decade to ourselves before kids came along. I think having to work out our identity as a family without children to build it around has made us a lot stronger.

  • Refresher: I had two back to back losses this past year at 6 and 8 weeks each, my last with a severe SCH. We did testing and I'm MTHFR +. I am scared to death for this pregnancy!

    How far along are you?
5+6, the witching week is nigh -.-

How are you doing? I'm okay. But I always do okay through week 5. I am scared of this coming week because that's when baby tends to stop growing.

When is your next appointment? 1/27, 8+1

Rant/Rave/Questions? My nipples are still sore!!! Yay! I pray I can make it to 8 weeks and see the most beautiful u/s yet.

How are you doing? Fine so far. Nauseous, nervous, sore boobs and oh gawd the evil discharge that makes me run to the bathroom thinking "this is it"

When is your next appointment? Next Wednesday for US & labs. I'm going to ask them to check my progesterone too if they don't order it.

Rant/Rave/Questions? None today. Just very glad we escaped the flooding in NorCal though it was very touch and go. Another 1/4 inch and our creek would have been in our house. As it is we have major backyard cleanup this weekend because our creek and backyard became one.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO He's awesome. He's my balance. He's so caring and loving. He's slowly starting to get in to the pregnancy though he's still cautious. He's so afraid that if this isn't successful that it will break me emotionally again. I love him so much. Took 38 years to finally meet my match. We're getting married in March. (Already had it planned before we got pregnant. My dress was purchased with a design that will be forgiving to a growing belly.)

  • Let's start with a short intro for those who weren't with us last week, and as a refresher for everyone else.

I had a miscarriage last March at about 5 and a half weeks. This is my second pregnancy.

    How far along are you?
    6+2!!

    How are you doing?
I'm doing well! My PGAL brain has calmed itself in exchange for morning sickness. It's weird but every time I throw up it makes me feel more confident this time around.

    When is your next appointment?
Next Monday at 7 weeks. I'm so excited (and nervous) for my first ultrasound!

    Rant/Rave/Questions?
Threw up for the first time at work this morning. Fortunately there was no one else in the bathroom but I'm concerned that will not be the case for long. There was no hiding what was happening and I am just not ready to tell anyone at work yet. Does anyone have any advice for hiding MS at work?

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO
He's a really great guy. He's been trying so hard to put on a strong face for me this time around and he is so excited. We've been together for 11 years (married for almost 7) and he is the smartest, best person I know. He also didn't get too irritated with me this morning when I woke him up at an ungodly hour to make me eggs because I can stand the sight of them raw but I reeeaaaalllyyy wanted them! Haha
  • @HollyGolightly09 I know! I feel like a crazy person for emailing with questions he doesn't seem concerned about, but I was like... umm shouldn't we be proactive on this? It was 14.4.. I did a bunch of research and saw varying responses (some said don't be worried unless under 10, others said it should be around 20). I'm happy he put me on it, even just for peace of mind.
  • @lahearn18 Id be going crazy if I couldn't tell my hubby yet but I think your idea of surprising him at 13 weeks when he is home is sooo adorable!
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • @lahearn18 I would not be able to keep that from my DH!  I understand now wanting to tell people but maybe he wanted support around him if something did happen since he wasn't with you?
@SunshinedaysI have no advice for hiding it but wanted to say that  I'm with you on welcoming the symptoms.  I felt nauseous yesterday and had an aversion today and I can only hope they get stronger.

    How far along are you?
    4+5

How are you doing? a nervous wreck.  I just had a tiny bit of spotting and I'm freaking out.  I know it could be 100000 things but my PGAL mind won't shut down. Maybe TMI but I do have a yeast infection and I know I have a very sensitive cervix so I'm hoping it's just those things combined.

When is your next appointment? Monday and it can't come soon enough!

Rant/Rave/Questions? Just a shoutout to all the PGAL mamas.  Although I hate that we have to be in this situation, I am so thankful to have all of your support. I know you are going to keep me sane in the coming weeks.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO He is awesome! We knew each other in college but re-met a few years later and instantly clicked.  He is the yin to my yang and always keeps me calm.  He is very carefree which is why I need because I am much more Type A.  On top of working, he also takes care of most of the cooking in our house because he's better and faster at it than I am.

  • @Sugargirl1019 FX you make it through to week 6, and beyond!

  • Let's start with a short intro for those who weren't with us last week, and as a refresher for everyone else.
I miscarried at 8 weeks in July 2016, I would've been due next month

How far along are you? 6+1

How are you doing? Ok, starting to feel nauseated and having many aversions

When is your next appointment? January 25th

Rant/Rave/Questions?no rants or raves just starting to get a little nervous since this is about the time I started spotting/bleeding

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO
my SO is the most hard working wonderful man, he can be a little frustrating at times but I wouldn't have anyone else. He's my high school sweet heart and we've been married for 5 years but have been together for 10 years!
  • @Sugargirl1019  I'm feeling anxious about this coming week, too. I technically miscarried at 8 weeks, but looking back on it, I don't think things were right at my ultrasound at 6+1. They said I was measuring 5+4, even though I was sure of my dates and my cycle is regular down to a time of day. Getting really anxious for my US Tuesday (I'll be 6+5, so hoping the US reflects that).

@spiderlover25  I was just thinking this morning "I hate that there are so many of us in this boat, but I am SO glad to have them."

@lahearn18 LOVE the idea of surprising him, but I know I couldn't hold out... lol

I dont think i can hold out. Ive just been keeping our conversations short so i dont spill the beans. I'm gonna try to maybe wait til the U/S so i can send him that in a gift box or something. He just told SOO many people. I told him last I that i had told 2 ppl so he could tell 2, and he told 10+...but waiting til Homecoming would be adorable too. We'll see how long I last
  • @eahayes yes on the cosmetics. I just looked and both bottles of shampoo in my shower have salacylic acid. That and I have anti-aging skin care and pretty sure there are some no no's in there too! I brought formaldehyde free nail polish to get a pedi yesterday too lol

@HollyGolightly09 I think you should request it if it makes you feel better. Each doc seems to be diff. My progesterone was 13.2 and my doc wants it to be at least 15 so I'm on vaginal progesterone pills once a day...200mg. Will find out tomorrow how much it increased.

@amandarene112 I did acupuncture through my first tri last time and saw a chiro that specializes in pregnant ladies in the 3rd. If you see an acupuncturist just make sure they know why they're doing with regard to pregnancy...my doc specialized in fertility...otherwise they can possibly cause a miscarriage. I loved it though...staved off morning sickness and kept colds at bay!

@Sugargirl1019  will be thinking of you all during witching week! Sending baby dust and sticky juju!

  • @Sugargirl1019 @HollyGolightly09 I'm sending so many positive thoughts your way over the upcoming week!! Last week was so hard for me to get through and having this community was so comforting.

@spiderlover25 I'm so glad I'm not alone in my crazy! FX for our increasing discomfort hahaha
  • @HollyGolightly09
Luckily due to my 3 previous MC my doctor told me to call him the day i get my BFP and he will call in a RX for Progesterone Suppositories. He hasn't done any bloodwork though. I am 4wks 4days. I go in on the 23rd for all my blood work etc at 6wks +2. My FX for all of us for very sticky babies!
  • How far along are you? 6+4

How are you doing? Was feeling nauseous last week, but it has mostly subsided. I went to my dr yesterday with some bleeding because I was freaked out (this is usually the week we lose baby) but everything checked out fine - so relieved!

When is your next appointment? next Thursday afternoon.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Rave: my husband is really stepping up his game this time around!

GTKY:  My husband and I met our sophomore year of high school. We dated all through HS and college. He dropped out and started working for the airlines after a year of college and moved around the country a lot making our relationship long distance. After several years, I graduated and he moved back home to work at a hub in our home town. We got an apartment together, then a rental house and finally he asked me to marry him after dating for 12 years. We will have been married for 5 years this June :) He now works crazy hours in the oil and gas industry, but he's a great father and I wouldn't trade our life for anything!

How are you doing?  nervous about not having many symptoms.  no bloating, no boob sensitivity, no nausea. :/

When is your next appointment? February 9th, which is exactly 8 weeks.  When I'd gone in for my follow up after MMC, the Dr. said to come in a bit earlier next time.  I called today to schedule the appt and she's going to check in with the Dr. but set this appointment in case.

Rant/Rave/Questions? DH told me that his dad got a text from a family friend on Sunday saying "I had the strangest dream that we were singing songs to *DH's name*'s son".  We got our positive result on Sunday morning.  How weird.

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO DH was fine with TTC when we started in 2015, but really just doing it b/c i wanted to try.  As soon as I got pregnant last year, it got real, and he was so excited.  He's been so good to me and really involved TTC this time around. He's a great guy.

  • How far along are you?
    4+5

    How are you doing?
All good so far. Mostly nauseous at all the smells and a but crampy which freaks me out sometimes.

    When is your next appointment?
    Our first appointment is 1/24

    Rant/Rave/Questions?
Last night we were laying in bed. DH turns to me and asks if my boobs are getting bigger. So I asked him if he thought they were. That little turd replies with "Your boobs are going to need to grow alot to feed a baby."

Here I was expecting some compliment, but no. He just wanted to remind me that I am flat chested. Lol

GTKY:  Tell us about your SO
DH is a firefighter. We have been together 8 years now. He is awesome. Builds all my Pinterest projects, is an awesome cook, and all around great guy. He will be such a good dad.

Although he loves our pets but does not encourage my dream of adopting and bringing home every homeless animal that needs my love :(
@SuperKristy85 I am right there with you with cedar fever!  I am MISERABLE!  I took some Benadryl earlier and it knocked me out for a good 3 hours.  I'm dreading work tomorrow because I haven't been able to really get off the couch today!

Is anyone else tracking their resting heart rate on their fitbit? Anytime I wake up and it's gone down 1 beat, I immediately started to freak out. It's supposed to raise about 10 to 15 beats during pregnancy. I started at 65, but so far I've been plateaued at 71 for 6 days and it's freaking me out.
Would it be possible that the Lovenox injections I started 4 days ago could cause this?
  • @heatherwilson321 no but I'm still temping and I equally freak with a temp dip instead of rise! Hang in there!

  • @heatherwilson321 I think a lot can affect heart rate...I notice mine is higher after I eat and (I know, obviously) when I'm moving around doing things.  I think sleep, allergies, anxiety, etc. can affect those numbers!

@ashley2824 I hate when symptoms don't seem as strong! I swear, I pinch my nipples 100 x a day to see if they are still sore! I feel like a crazy person, and start to panic when I think it went away
Hahaha I love it! Because I do the same thing!!
