Re: Introduction

  • Hi all!

I Will be a second time mom, and my first baby turned one on November 2. I excited to have two under two and my mom is excited that I'm having a summer baby because she gets to visit me and our warm Florida ocean ;) I'm due August 23 (our 3rd year anniversary:) but my first one came 9 days early, so I'm guessing this one will be early too. My first apt is January 23rd and I will be 9.5 weeks. At how many weeks is your guys' first apt? I just can't wait! Anyways... I had a few pregnancy symptoms earlier, now I don't have any really, thinking maybe it's too early? Anyways, nice to meet y'all! God bless!

  • We're like in the same boat! Due aug 23 and no major symptoms after we got the positive! When is your first apt?
  • Hi everyone! I am a FTM with an EDD of August 22nd. I got my BFP on Dec 11. DH and I live in NY with our furbaby bunny. *TW* We had a loss in October and we're praying for a healthy and sticky baby! *End TW*

I'm excited to get to know you ladies!
  • Hello August 17 ladies! I'm a little late to the game but I have been lurking for a bit. My EDD is 8/8 but I am assuming this little one will come a couple weeks early like my first. I live in Texas and have been staying at home with DS for a few months now. Before, I taught second grade. I'm excited to be pregnant with you all!

Hi ladies! My name is Anna..im 29 and I'm pregnant with my 2nd child! My little boy Jack is 7 months old! We haven't had our first appointment yet but we are guessing we are around 6 weeks! Excited to get to know you all!
  • Hello!  My name is molly and this is my second time being an august mom! DS is 6 and i am still active in my august 2010 fb group from the bump! I got divorced this summer and have been with my bf for 7 months and this was absolutely a surprise. We are getting used to the idea but excited for a baby regardless. He has 3 kids 6,9, and 13. So we will have FIVE combined. i got my BFP on 12/16 and my EDD is 8/29. I look forward to having another group to do this whole baby thing with!
  • Hi ladies! My name is Emily. Im a mom of three. 7 3 and 7 months. This baby was a surprise(pull out baby lol), and Im not going to lie I was in shock and a little upset. But now I'm all in and very excited. I'm a little worried because I've been feeling not as pregnant, but it's in God's hands so we will see. My turnover day is Monday, and im 6 weeks 1 day today. I was in the bumb group june 2016, and we went on to make a fb group eventually and I talk to those ladies everyday. I hope to get to know you all.
  • Hi ladies! I am a FTM and got my BFP on 12/11. My EDD is August 21st. I can't wait for my first doctor's appointment on 1/3!
  • Hi @phillydoglover I'm just outside Philly in Ardmore.
  • I'm still in shock...haven't been pregnant in 10 years so of course I'm thinking "I'm broken" lol. Being that a close friend recently suffered a loss I'm keeping this on the hush for now...scared of a loss. This morning I decided instead of getting ready for work let's google "I don't feel pregnant anymore"...because my breasts feel normal again so why not google that...proceeds to read all these comments. Not even 30 mins later had my first case of morning sickness. Happy 6 weeks to me! Guess that was my sign to get a grip and relax. Congrats to all moms and moms to be. Such an exciting, nerve wrecking, emotional, loving time. Try to breathe and enjoy it all. (It's what I tell myself :) )
  • Hi all! This is my second baby. My son turned 2 in October. I got my BFP on Dec. 1, but only because we have been trying and I started taking tests 6 days before my missed period. My estimated due date is Aug. 16, however, after my first ultrasound at 4 weeks 6 days, the baby was measuring 5 weeks 5 days, so the EDD may be earlier (and my son came a week early). My husband and I have suffered quite a bit of loss, so while we are so excited about this pregnancy we are super scared as well and haven't told anyone as of yet.:-)

  • Hullooo!
I am hoppin' on the baby train.
Got my BFP Nov 28th when we got home from Thanksgiving vakay.
This is pregnancy #6, take home baby number 3 (hopefully). We currently have 2 girls on earth with us, twin boys & 3 unknown babes in heaven.
My EDD is Nov 10th and I am going by O day because I know for a fact when this lil bean was conceived lol.
Our 1st ultrasound is Jan 17th and I am going insane already with the waiting game. After 4 mc's (1mc was a set of twins, the other 3 singletons) it is hard to relax.
Dh and I have been married for almost 4 years and together since 2010. He is a plumber and I have my own business.

5 angel babies, 4 MC, 3 singletons sex unknown & 1 set of twin boys. Expecting our 3rd rainbow baby
  • Hi everyone! Congratulations to everyone here and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all :) My BFP was 11/28 and my EDD is 8/3/2017 based on my first scan (that was yesterday)! My husband and I are currently ex-pats living in London at the moment but we're actually in the process of moving back to New York. My husband is 33 and I'm 32 and we've been together for 10 years but married for almost 4. This will be our first child and we're looking forward to figuring out how to raise a little baby in NYC whilst juggling two careers...any advice is more than welcome!!
  • Hi everyone!
Excited to be here. Should be due Aug 3 based on LMP but I have an ultrasound 1/10 that should give me a better due date.
I'm 33, husband is 37, we live in Chicago, and this will be our first (and likely only) child. We both work full time and I intend to keep working after maternity leave. Glad to meet you all!

  • Hi! I'm Jess from Ottawa, Canada and I'm 27, my husband is 34 (he's an identical twin, I wonder if we'll have twins!) and this will be our first child:)

We found out Dec 10th, after trying for 2 weeks, and our estimated due date is August 18th! We're so excited!!

I've chosen to go the midwife route as opposed to an OBGYN, but have the baby in a hospital as opposed to birthing Centre or home. I'm so excited and can't wait to have a positive experience. Grow baby grow!

I'm a twin and that's one of my biggest fears is having twins lol. I heard it skips a generation
  • @jessdavey @BrinetteBabe722 Twins run on the female's side and fraternals are genetically passed on, not identical. That being said, I do have twin friends whose sister had fraternal twins that look exactly like them. (So it didn't skip a generation.) I also know twin guys and only one of the brothers had twins also. I am a fraternal twin with 4 sisters and none of us has had twins (yet). DH's aunt and uncle are twins and my great aunt had fraternal twins too. We will see!

  • @phillydoglover Yep! This is my first baby.
  • I'm a fraternal twin (sister). She has a 3 year old daughter and is 30 weeks with a boy.  My mom's younger sister has twins (boy + girl), but was on Clomid when she conceived. I'm having a feeling this is twins. I wanted twins the first time, but I'm not sure about having 3 kids.  DH has a set of twin uncles and one of them has twin daughters. @NYTino24 is correct about it coming from the mom's side, though. I read that the skipping generation thing generally comes from a male twin having a daughter and her having twins.
  • @NYTino24 don't tell me that!!! I don't know what I would do if I had twins :o
  • Hello everyone!

I'm 25 and so is my husband, we have a 22 month old little boy and are due with number two on August 29, 2017!  I have the feeling at my dating scan that I will be pushed back into September as I ovulate late, but I'm planning on staying here given my history with my LO!

I was semi semi active on my other birth month and I am looking forward into coming in here!

Heres to a happy and healthy 9 months!

My brother and sister are twins. My other sister was pregnant with and delivered twins. No fertility drugs involved.

@bumpybump That is super cool. I forgot to add that my twin showed me her ultrasounds from pregnancy #4 with baby #2. She had severe PCOS and was on Clomid 50 mg and did an IUI with sperm wash. She hyperovulated before being medicated, so we can't say the cause and docs never confirmed a twin pregnancy (in fact they tried to distract her when she asked) but her ultrasounds show a very small second sac for about 2-3 months. (She had a TON of ultrasounds.) She had one baby. I'll post an ultrasound tomorrow if I can before we leave her house.

  • Hi Mamas! I was mostly a lurker on the April 13 board for my DS but I hope to be more active here! I'm 5 weeks and 3 days and my EDD is August 31st! DH and I have been trying for almost 2 years and I was about to start the testing for infertility when I got my BFP! My doc won't see me until 8 weeks so I'm gonna call on Monday to schedule my first appointment! FX for happy and healthy pregnancies for all!!
  • Hello! I have been lurking here for a bit trying to decide if I want to dive in.  I have found myself wanting to comment here and there so I figured I better intro.  I am 5 weeks pregnant with my second and was pretty active in the Oct13 board. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies over the next few months.

Hello everyone! I know I am a little late to the party, but I am so happy to be here!

My calculations make me due Aug. 27- I got my BFP on Dec. 23!

This is my second pregnancy this year- my DH and I found out I had a blighted ovum and I miscarried in September this year.  Needless to say, I am extremely excited to be here but also a little hesitant.

Edit: Guess I should also add that I have a son who will turn 2 in February!

    Congratualtions to everyone here!

  • Hi ladies! I feel like I am a little late joining here but here I am! I got my BFP Dec 20th and due to very irregular periods, it is still a mystery as to how far along I am! I have seen my doctor and we estimate around 7 weeks, so EDD end of August! I am very excited because my birthday is Aug 23 :) this will by my second baby, I was in the Sept 2015 board religiously before and after he was born! I love the bump community so much! Can't wait to get to know all of you :)
  • Hi everyone, I'm 31 from Cavan, Ireland. I'm married 1.5 years. We were pregnant in Feb 2016 and unfortunately when we went for our 12 week scan there was no baby there :'( I had a d&c the following week which as many know is devastating. Following blood tests etc the doctors concluded it was just "one of those things", however we waited until November to try again and are now 8 weeks pregnant. This time it just "feels" different. So praying all will be well.

Looking forward to getting to know you all x :)
  • Hi everyone.  Got my bfp 12/1/16, and due date is 08/13/17.  We've been trying for a long time with a few losses, so we're scared out of our minds.  I've been lurking around here for a while, too nervous to join.  Feeling superstitious, of course. ;)
  • Hi ladies! Was lurking for a while since a) I'm a FTM and nervous as all get out about anything that could happen and b) chat boards scare me---people can be so mean!

Anyway! FTM 28 y/o in FL. Hubs is 31.
EDD: August 22nd (based on both LMP and O)
BFP: December 12th (1 day before missed period & our 1 year wedding anniversary!)
  • Truth be told I've been lurking since my BFP (Nov 30th) because I've never participated in a forum before.  But I've already been helped by reading different threads and I feel a lot more normal when I see you ladies going through the exact things as me.  FTM, 26 yrs old.  Live in beautiful Colorado with DH of 4.5 years.  EDD is Aug 10!
  • A very unexpected Christmas surprise but we are excited! I stupidly started my birth control pack 3 days later than I was supposed to after ending my period. I had forgotten them over the Thanksgiving holiday. Now we are going to be a family of 5! EEK! I joined The Bump with my first son and am still an active member of that group. It is very helpful to talk with people going through the same stuff!
