@Patience7150 *hugs* that sounds absolutely miserable. I have heartburn too but the zantac and tums combo does provide some relief.... anything your doc can do to help? Any way to up the Zantac dose?

Generally one or the other helps. I think the baby shifted yesterday because there was a significant change in heartburn (and kick locations). I go in Monday, so I'll definitely be asking!
It's 1:30 ish at night here... I'm not sure what I'm experiencing heartburn? I'm not sure I haven't had it before, but I just got woke up from my sleep with some nastiness creeping up my throat and into my mouth. I swallowed it back down, but YUCK! not cool, and now I'm awake.

Also, how did the Christmas party go? Did your hair and make-up turn out nice? Did you find some shoes/boots to fit comfortably? I thought about you while we were at the party, but then thought yours was probably already over due to the time change lol
Sounds like heartburn or acid reflux @kswiger06. Take some Tums. Or my doctor today suggested Pepsid.
I am laying here getting kicked in the back by my 5 year old and in the belly by the baby. My 5 year old has been the baby of the family in every sense, and she is just the sweetest, most loving kid. We never coslept on purpose, but she ends up with us a lot and is just a snuggler. She has always been the most mommy centric kid, and the most in tune with me. I am so worried about how things are going to change when the baby comes. She is so excited but I don't want our relationship to change. I think it's going to be hard to adjust.
And that is why I can't sleep!
I have to add this, because there is always mommy guilt about it. We have three kids, and they are all sweet and loving and wonderful. I love them all. But, there is something about my youngest. Its her personality and it was like she was my imprinted baby bird from the beginning.

It was a really good night on friday, i stayed out til 11:30 so i felt like a real rebel since im usually in bed by 9 these days! i just had to wear flats that i squeezed my feet into but hair & make up made me feel a little bit more glam
Thanks ladies, i have to say the trip to the hairdressers & getting my make up done by someone else made me feel like less of a frump than i have been recently & did wonders for feeling good about myself!
@Janefelicity you look soooo pretty!! I've never had my makeup done, and only my hair once in highschool. I always run out of time getting ready so I end up having my makeup done, but just wearing my hair straight and down lol. I really like the way your hair looks (at least from the front!!)
@Partyof6? My husband said it was probably acid reflux. It was disgusting!! I did take a couple tums.
Also I think I understand how you are feeling. Before we actually started trying, I cried about the possibility of losing the bond I share with my daughter. I wasn't as worried about another boy, because our son isn't really connected to me the same, but I was terrified of what would happen if we had a girl. I was afraid they would try to compete. My daughter loves to be around me, she can tell when I'm sad or angry, even if I try my hardest to hide it. She asks me multiple times a week "What's wrong mommy?" Because she is just so aware of me I guess. She is like my little princess. We are having a boy, so that has helped me a lot, but I still wonder if it will affect the relationship with her. Right now she spends hours "doing my hair" and painting my nails. I don't want her to feel like she won't have any of my attention anymore. She loves to help me in the kitchen. She'll help while I'm cooking by opening jars or setting the table, or even helping season the food. She helps set the dishes in the strainer to dry. I'm hoping that with the baby, she will want to be close and watch or "help" but I really don't know how it will go. It's a terrible and sad feeling, but I feel more positive than down. I'm sorry that you have those worries, and I truly hope that nothing changes with your daughter.
Yes, that's it! She is very oddly in tune with me, is a high touch kid, and even sleeping next to my husband in bed, if I come up after, I can hear her murmer Mama and she rolls over to me. We joke any her being an empath, she really is in tune with me and takes care of me.
My older daughter is an old soul, and very wise beyond her years, and never seemed to need me as much. I think she will be an instinctual big sister and a huge help. She has been mothering everyone since she was a toddler. She is also close with me, but it just isn't quite the same bond.
We joke, kimd of, that it's because I had late diagnosed PPD with my twins, and nursing was a struggle. My little one nursed 20 months, and just never lost the I just want mama personality. People say all the time that there is just something about Mia. She clicks with adults so much and just is the sweetest thing. She is still home with me quite a bit, and is my shadow.

Ive also been experiencing anxiety over how my relationship with my son will change. We share a similar connections like you all have described. And we totally still co sleep because I love cuddling him!

I felt awful that he had to stop nursing During the beginning of my pregnancy because of complications... we made it to 22months but he definitely wasn't ready to quit. Now after 6 months of no breastfeeding, he still reaches for them and gets frustrated when I say no. I'm sure when baby comes he's going to try and make a move for them again.
I also worry how I'll have enough time and energy to share between the both of them. I don't want to cheat either of them on mommy time. I know I'll manage but the worrying is driving me batty.

Apparently I don't sleep anymore either, y'all have room for me? I can't breathe out of my nose because it is completely stopped up. Woke up about 11 and it's not 2:40 and I'm still wide awake. I've tried falling back asleep and it has just pissed me off, so Netflix it is.
It's 4:30 here, I woke up at 4 and was super thirsty. Then I had to pee, then the puppy wanted out and now I cat get into a comfy position. Now I'm just pretty bored.

Thanks ladies! Just got back from the doc and he has a sinus infection AND pneumonia. feel so bad for him. Starting antibiotics now. I'm just glad we were able to get a last minute appt before the holidays. At least now he's got a good chance he'll feel much better by Christmas.

I have never been so uncomfortable. I'm so tired, but between this acid reflux, hip pain, and going pee, I just can't get any sleep. I'm predicting a grumpy day tomorrow.
