It's 4:30 and we're up for the day. DS fell asleep at 5pm.... he's just been so exhausted. It was still a long evening/night. He woke up every 30 mins - 1 hour due to his blocked nose. I went to bed at 8 knowing he would be up early but between pee breaks and his crying, I'm tired AF.

Up with dd at 2. Deal with her. Then have to pee. Then realize I'm starving. Grab a few crackers and now I can't fall back to sleep. I'm over this pregnancy induced insomnia I seem to have. I just want to sleep.
@concreteangell how's he doing? Maybe you could teach him to be a mouth breather like darth Vader
Bahaha, that made me laugh. Pretty much think at this point he's nailed Darth Vader.
he's doing better thanks. The ENT upped the dose on his nasal cortisone spray and it's been helping him a ton. We're just waiting on his mouth sores to go and he should be back to his normal self!

I've been waking up nightly around 2 a.m. to go pee. Each night I tell myself to stay off my phone because it will just keep me up longer, but I'm always up for at least an hour and a half anyway. Tonight I decided oh well, I'll be on my phone if I don't get to sleep within 10 minutes sooooooo.... lol (I've been up for about an hour now and caught up on threads, I'm getting bored)
My DH and I woke up at 4:20am to gushing water from the sump pump. It was like a mini geyser! DH thinks he fixed the issue (a pipe issue). He also bailed out all the water so my anxiety will calm down and I can go to work not paranoid that I'll come home to a flood.
Also, it snowed so now DH is shoveling/plowing. I can't get back to sleep because the adrenaline from waking up to the sound of gushing water.
This waking up every two hours to pee and change positions in bed is becoming a huge pain in the ass. I'd at least like to be waking up for a hungry baby, lol. That's more of a valid reason. 5 more weeks. 5 more weeks.
Of course the one time DD goes right to sleep after a feeding, I'm wide awake. I think I'm getting sick Feeling achy and feverish...I guess I'll be calling my GP in the morning. It just sucks, I'm used to just riding things out when I'm sick, but it's hard with a LO now since I don't want to potentially pass anything to her. For whatever reason, DH is up and he offered to go get me some OJ so he's out at Wal Mart at the moment. Thank God for 24 hour Wal Marts!

That nice if DH to go get u some stuff in the middle of the night.
I cannot go back to sleep either I am wide awake. Just thinking about how i am getting induced tonight.
@skiingstark that is a totally understandable reason to lose sleep! The night before a scheduled csection must be one of the oddest moments, knowing that by this time tomorrow, you will have your baby....
as for me, it's a motn feed with the kiddo. I foresee many more visits to this thread... I'm just thankful I'm in PST, because y'all will be up soon....
@PerraSucia my boobs feel pretty good, I was afraid it might be mastitis as well so I've been hyper-sensitive to how my boobs feel. I pumped twice last night when I normally only pump once just to be safe.
I'm thinking some OJ and sleep might have been the trick, I'm feeling much better!
During my pregnancy-induced insomnia, I managed to learn how to do a ripple crochet pattern. Unimpressive, I know. But as a beginner, I feel I've at least accomplished something at 2am rather than watch an entire cycle of antm.
My husband fell asleep early yesterday afternoon (he works 3rd shift, and is off all weekend but he tried to stay up yesterday) so he woke up around 4:15. (40 mins ago) I went pee, but realized my labor buddy was admitted to delivery and now I'm wide awake with excitement!!!
Ugh heartburn Is waking me up too. I'm so pissed, my MW has been promising me for months: 'it goes away as soon as you deliver!!' Except it turns out not always. Your estrogen levels are still high PP, and it's the hormones that are making all our esophaguses (esophagi?) relax... sigh. And pass the tums....
Ugh. If I never post again after this evening, it's because I'm in prison for murdering my husband. It's his turn on diaper and soothing duty, but after our 2 am feed, LO was wide awake and needed to be changed, so I took him to take care of it, telling my husband to stay in bed because at least one of us could get some sleep. So I'm changing LO and he's not happy, giving his usual changing squawks, and my husband comes barreling in, kinda budges me outta the way, and grumbles 'pro-tip: if you want to let a person sleep, you have to close the bathroom door.' and then I killed him.
ugh, I'm so mad at him right now. Where's that gif from Chicago? 'He had it coming...'
No way he gets any more help with changes he's on duty for.
Oh man @PerraSucia :-( I hope things turn around soon!
Perks to pregnancy insomnia at 5am? Getting to lay in bed and think "well, I would definitely be the first person at the donut shop when they open in an hour at 6 am!" Now if only I was motivated to actually move my ass since it is 9 minutes past 6am... lol
Woke up at 6 am with the biggest urge to pee, LO moved and put sooo much pressure on my bladder that I didn't quite make it to the bathroom. I actually peed myself. WTF. I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore.
@PerraSucia are you guys home? I think I missed that if you are!

I'm so sorry @PerraSucia but I also missed that you were home! That's awesome!
I'm in that place where you wake up because you have to pee, but you know getting out of bed will hurt like hell, so you procrastinate and mobile bump while the situation continues to deteriorate.
@perrasucia I'm so sorry! The best part of engorgement is that the "cure" is to nurse, which I would do except I'm engorged and my baby can't latch. So frustrating.
We all got to go home yesterday as a family which was amazing. In hindsight i wish they had kept mr one more night to establish breastfeeding. I think they assumed stm could figure it out?
