@krob things are now at 60% off! I usually do this thing where I torture myself trying to decide if I should buy at the 40% off price or chance it and hope what I want is still available when it goes to 60% off! Got lucky this year!
Also 5 pairs of shoes isn't embarrassing - it's awesome! I usually try to buy at least a few pairs at the sale and that is usually the bulk of my shoe budget each year.
@MissMerciBeaucoup yeah this was a total surprise to me. My usual MO is to go to Saks first thing in the morning on Dec 26. Usually they have all their sale stuff marked an additional 50% off. Because of this you can't look for an item in particular, say a pair of aubergine velvet pumps, but you may happen upon some new loves you didn't even know you were missing in your life.
Like last year I scored a pair of gold Jimmy Choo high top sneakers that I have been obsessed with.
Same sale happens around 4th of July but isn't quite as good.

@krob I should get on the Saks sales it sounds like! I think I saw those gold Jimmy Choo's in one of your HDBD pics and they are so fab! I've always been a Barneys girl (I worked there for a year - my first job when I moved to LA). Really I wish I didn't love shoes so much - sounds like we are in the same club with that!
@lemieuxk Heh heh, thanks. I wound up losing a ton of weight in my first trimester because I didn't want to eat, so all the stuff that fit me before I lost the weight fits me now that I'm back up to what I was pre-pregnancy. With the aid of a Bellaband I've been okay thus far. I'm actually kind of shocked that it took getting pregnant to lose the weight I always wanted to, just how the heck ^^;
You guys had better pray to whatever you believe in that your shoe size doesn't change. I went up almost a whole size.
Me too. I thought it was just swelling that would go away, but nope. I think the ligaments in my feet stretched them out a size and never went back. I had to replace all my shoes. (Luckily for me I didn't own anything super fancy. But still sucked!)

My feet have been up a size since about 20 weeks, even when not swollen. I'm praying they go back, but I don't think they will. Im not looking forward to replacing my perfectly worn in frye riding boots that I love.
i refuse! i've had a long and serious conversation with my feet. they understand the importance of them staying the same. so far they have cooperated and if it means i have to stuff them in shoes for the next two months so they don't grow. so be it. there is only so much i am willing to give up for this kid

Just ordered a couple of nursing tops from Asos, which I really wished I would have had my first go around (rather than stretching out all the necks to my vnecks).
Also, for those who are small chested (well maybe this applies to big chested too, but I can't vouch), I absolutely loved the Gilligan & O'Malley Seemless Nursing Bras from Target. (I live in Canada but still drive to Target just for these). Note: they do stretch, so a small fit me and I was a 32D while nursing (normally 32C).
I finally broke down and ordered a maternity coat. I found one at Walmart for a steal - $15! Not the most attractive but for two months it will be just fine. The reviews were decent and I really just need something that can zip. If it seems thin I figured I could layer underneath. I added the link in case anyone was interested!
Mine arrived today just in time for the polar vortex! I think it looks totally fine and like it cost more than $15. So, so happy to be able to zip into something other than my husband's enormous winter coat.
I finally got my maternity coat that ordered on Cyber Monday (from Old Navy). It's not flattering at all, but it's definitely more comfortable than squeezing into my regular peacoat. Also, I added a maternity zip-up hoodie (which I was way too excited to get) and a pair of slippers for the hospital. I don't actually own slippers and kept seeing them on hospital bag lists... They seem really warm, comfy and have non-slip bottoms. Woo hoo! https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?vid=1&pid=434556012
I know. I feel like they usually ship the same day or next day as my order. It was super frustrating, especially because if finally got cold enough here that I really needed a coat.
@MLRocha I am having a similar experience with ON shipping right now. Always super fast before, but now suddenly not even a shipping notice for over a week? WTH?
So, I called them last week and they apparently had two major system down issues the weekend after thanksgiving so NOTHING left their warehouse for days.
