It's CD7 and I'm still bleeding, and I got a flashey smiley on my CB Adv Digital OPK today (indicating estrogen rise). Is it weird that I got that when I'm still bleeding? Should I start taking mucinex now, do you think?

@migdala Do you ever O a little early (CD12-13)? If so, I'd not be surprised to see estrogen rise 5ish days before O. I've never used the CBADs, but I do start getting EWCM 4-5 days before O, which means the same thing (estrogen rise). So, it's definitely possible. As for Mucinex, I've never used it for this purpose. Did your midwife recommend it?
AFM, I'm sitting here on CD6 just twirling my thumbs. WTO feels like forever. I didn't temp last cycle because I didn't want to "obsess", but then I found myself going crazy in the TWW because I didn't know whether I was 10 or 11 DPO and whether I could trust the BFNs. So, I started temping this cycle to try to avoid that... But I'm already using the chart overlay to compare my pre-O temps. I think my brain is just a crazy place right now... LOL.
@RiverSong15 I have been O'ing earlier and earlier -- my acupuncturist predicted that my O date would move forward a couple of days and she was spot on. But I haven't gotten to CD12 or 13 yet, the earliest was last month at CD15. But I did get 6 days of positive OPKs for estrogen before I got the positive for the LH surge, so maybe I'll hit CD12 or 13 this month. So weird how it's moved around!!! And my midwives didn't recommend Mucinex, I am going rogue and trying it this cycle after reading about it on a bunch of TTC threads. I haven't had good CM since before the MC (which is weird because I didn't think a MC would affect that), and apparently Mucinex works to thin CM out. Mine has stayed pretty sticky all the way up until the exact day that I O, so I'm hoping this increases my chances.
@migdala is there a certain kind of mucinex that you're supposed to take? I've heard of taking that Robitussin but I don't really know anything about it.
@MooFish2364 and @migdala any expectorant with the ingredient guaifenesin in it will work to help thin things out. As far as I know both robitussin and mucinex both have this ingredient. I use pre seed which is supposed to do the same thing. I may add the cold medicine to the mix too. I guess it can't hurt. I've read a few articles on this and discussed it with doctor.
@MooFish2364 Like @Mack2342 said, just make sure you get the one that has ONLY guaifenesin. There are a couple different kinds out there and some of them have other active ingredients that are decongestants, and that'll work against you by decreasing the amount of CM instead of just thinning it out. I'm doing this instead of pre seed because I get squicked out by lubricant
Just got back from the RE appointment and it went well. I feel so much calmer about all of this. HSG and various other blood work is scheduled for 12/22, but the RE said he's confident we'll be able to achieve successful pregnancy. It's just nice hearing someone say that. My blood pressure was sky high today which is not surprising given all of this week, but I'm feeling better about this process now.
I'm 5 weeks post D&C....and early last week started getting negative HPTs. I still had a couple days of positive OPKs...I was using the cheapies...and tried a clearblue. This was positive for two days then went negative. I tried a clearblue advanced too, and same thing happened. I've been getting negatives for a couple days, but today tried them both and the clearblue was negative and the clearblue advanced was positive. Took another Clearblue this afternoon and it was positive!!!!! Could it be? Maybe?? It seems soon after D&C...but I'm wondering if I have reason to be excited, just to try again.....doc said I don't have to wait if I don't want to....
Welp it looks like we aren't going to have a chance this month. Today is cd17, our last chance to BD was cd15, and I haven't gotten a +OPK yet. I typically O the day after +OPK so even if I get one tomorrow and O on Saturday that would only give us -4 for timing. Might just have to wait till IUI in Feb

Tonight is the last night DH is here until mid-next week. I think I will O anywhere from tomorrow to Sunday. So hopefully we will hit anywhere from -1 to -3. Not quite sure yet.
I got a positive OPK yesterday and today, but I have also had two surges in past cycles, so not sure if that is happening again.
@laeberge3 So glad that you found your RE reassuring (REassuring.. sorry can't help the verbal/visual pun). It's amazing what a positive visit to a doctor can do for your mood, isn't it?
@SoonToBeMommaHowe I'm really sorry that the timing didn't end up being ideal. I know that you were really hoping that this cycle would work out. It's so frustrating to not be in control of ovulation.

I'm jumping back in here now. Do we have a December iui/ivf thread? I don't see one, just asking because I've seen other months have them. Anywho, I'm CD2 starting my first round of IUI. I was recently diahnosed with pcos and ovulation dysfunction, DH doesn't have great numbers either. I am currently on metformin and starting clomid tonight. I'm super worried this cycle will be a bust with the holiday messing up the schedule but there's not a whole lot I can do about that.

Does anyone experience pre-ovulation spotting? I never have but I'm on CD9 and day 3 of positive estrogen OPKs and I had pink spotting this morning. This is the first cycle I've taken evening primrose oil and I wonder if it has anything to do with that?
Can I join? CD 2 over here. Got a bfn 10dpo then AF started the next day. Fun. Definitely my shortest cycle at 26 days but D&C was about 7 weeks ago so I'm sure wonky cycles is normal right now. It's hard to go from the TWW thread to this thread, I am behind now on where everybody is at. Hoping to get caught up! Fx for everybody.
@Uhlease13. Cycles can be wonky. I'm on 4th cycle post d & c and I think mine is finally returning to normal. I'm at CD 3. It sucks to be back. Hopefuly we all get BFPs this go!
CD 10 and the spotting continues. I don't understand what's happening. I read online that spotting can be a result of a drop in estrogen preceding ovulation, but I'm still testing positive for the estrogen surge and I haven't gotten a positive for LH yet. I am so frustrated and confused I just want to curl up and cry. I feel like I'm out this month and I haven't even O'd yet... I hate this.

i have a case of the temping woes too. I'm currently cd21 and usually O btwn 17-20. I think I've Od because I had a positive OPK on cd18 and EWCM cd20. But my temps are everywhere because I've been so sick and one day we were traveling and I was super sick (fell asleep at 8pm) and when I woke up my thermometer was still packed so I couldn't even temp. Now FF has no idea what's going on. But it's giving my dotted CHs the day before +OPK.
Any thoughts chart stalkers?? I think it's cd19 and that would make us out but the crazy part of me loves the dotted CHs because that would put our timing at -2 I discarded the cd14 temp because that was the first day I was sick and my temp was really high
I haven't been too active lately both because I am busy and also I have been a little down about everything. CD 11 today and my temps are all over the place because we got to my parents 2 days ago and their house is like a sauna. Negative OPKs so far so I'm just waiting to see what happens. We are going to try to get good timing this month despite being surrounded by family.

@SoontobeMommaHowe Your chart is perplexing. Right now I agree with FF, but the OPKs and CM disagree. Were the OPKs close to positive on CD15 or 16? It's also possible you haven't Od yet, unf.
@RiverSong15 yes this is by far the most confusing chart I've ever had. I use the CBD OPKs so i just check for a smiley or open circle. I test twice a day and got an open circle cd17 AM, there's a chance it could have been a smiley on the PM test bc if we're being honest I may have peed on it and then started doing errands because the test takes so long to think and then I totally forgot to check on it again But then my cd18 AM test was a smiley.
This is just a bizarre cycle, very limited CM and usually I get it all month. No real temp rise. Our timing isn't good so I suppose I can just figure out O day based on AF arrival.

@SoonToBeMommaHowe I'm a little late but if is helps I also agree with FF and can tell you that I have gotten EWCM after O a few times. I haven't found much about this from Googling so don't have any explanations or analysis for that part. It's so frustrating to have a confusing chart. I'm still hoping for you this cycle!
@SoonToBeMommaHowe Sorry about the wonky cycle. I have forgotten to look at the CBD OPK too because it takes so long, but if you do forget, it shows on the screen again when you eject the test strip. I figured that out last cycle by accident!
AFM, CD 12 and day 6 of flashey smileys. So annoying. We start our multi-destination holiday travels tonight and I had really hoped to O before then. But on the bright side, we saw one of the midwives yesterday about our TTC troubles and she is referring us to a fertility specialist even though it's only been 6 months. I was so afraid no one would help us til it had been a full year, and I'm so grateful that she was like "let's start figuring this out today!" Here's hoping for a BFP before that appointment, but it just feels good to know that we are going to be able to see someone who will listen and try to help.
@migdala Ahh, the multiple days of flashing smileys is the worst. I had that last month and ran out of test strips before it ever went to the solid smiley. It never would have, as I didn't O for weeks after that, but it's beyond frustrating. So glad your midwife was understanding and helpful towards your troubles. There's just something comforting about knowing someone is going to help. Fx that you won't need that referral and/or testing!

Christmas Day starts BD for us. We start at CD10 and BD every other day until +OPK. I've tried every day during window and then DH is too worn out by the time O arrives. Hopefully this works.
I also ordered a thermometer and it and it should arrive tomorrow so I'm going to add that into mix. My sleep is horrible but I'm going to try it.

@SoontobeMommaHowe@Wingless00 I too get a little fertile CM after O. If I remember correctly from TCOYF, there is a small estrogen surge in the luteal phase that can sometimes cause fertile-like CM.
@migdala Sorry about the flashing smileys. You aren't the first person who's complained about that on these boards. Honestly, that's why I like my Wondfos... I can see the LH line get darker, so I know if things are progressing or not. Even though I have to interpret if something is truly positive, I'm know with the CBADs Id be more frustrated with 6 days of flashing smiles. Maybe give Wondfos a try?
@laeberge3 GL with your HSG. I hope it goes smoothly. Are you doing the dye/x-Ray version or the saline version?

For me, temping at the same time everyday has a much bigger influence on my temps than how long or well I've slept. Everyone's different though, and it can take a cycle or two to figure out how your body reacts to things. GL!
