If you ladies send out holiday cards, are you mentioning that you are expecting or making it a theme of the card? We are going to do a photo card and I am obviously pregnant so I was leaning toward making the caption something like "The More the Merrier" with Love, Jack, Jane and soon to be baby Smith. Is that a little too cutesy? What are you ladies thinking of doing for holiday cards if anything?

I need to get on this but I think ours will involve the dog in a Santa hat. I don't think yours is too cheesy but I am generally pro-Christmas cheesiness so take that with a grain of salt.
My random (and slightly impulsive act) for the day.. I knew that some of my classes were cancelled next week, but I thought I still had at least 2 days of class. Welllll..turns out those classes are cancelled too, so I have the whole week off. So H and I decided we're going to Canada next week to see my family. I haven't seen them in a year and H hasn't seen them in 3 years. We leave Tuesday and we're super excited But also feeling a little bit of "What did we just do?"

We did something like this. On the back of the card was a small square for a tiny photo and I added an ultrasound pic and something about the baby coming. I can't remember and they haven't come yet! I didn't know what to put there so it seemed like a good opportunity
@perrasucia They originally told me I passed and then my dr told me that the one was high so to just watch my carbs and keep exercising... lmk what yours ends up saying. I have my 3 hour for this baby tomorrow.
Does anyone have any recommendations for online prenatal yoga videos? I'm really feeling in need of a good stretch.
I'm a fan of the YouTube channel "Tonic" I enjoyed her handful of prenatal yoga videos. I find yoga is alot about personal preference. There's a TON of options--just type in "prenatal yoga" with -beginner, intermediate, advanced, strength training, stretch, labor prep... etc Depending on what you're looking for, and you'll get a million options to try out.
Hey guys, now that we're all entering the 3rd tri, I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on doing labor buddies? We did it with my last BMB and it was pretty successful. So I'm curious if anyone here had an interest.

@concreteangell how does it work? Is there one giant labor buddy thread where people post when their labor buddy goes into labor? And how do you get paired up?

Yes definitely!!
@homemake, for us we picked someone who didn't have the same due date as us (so we wouldn't end up in the hospital at the same time not being able to post), and we would update that person when we went into labor and they would tell the board! It's just fun and exciting once that starts happening for everyone

Yogaglo.com is my favorite online yoga practice, they have thousands of videos in varying lengths and skills levels. It's $18/month and usually they give a couple weeks free to try it out. Definitely the best collection of videos out there for home practice.
Re: labor buddies- I'm in! Maybe someone who has done it with a previous BMB can help set it up?
I'm due in late January and it's defitinely a bit scary seeing the January BMB already have births

Exactly this! I have no problem setting this up. I would start a labor buddy sign up thread where people would have about a week to sign up for it and then everyone would get paired up afterwards. Like @Starfish113 said, people would get paired up with ones that have a different due date. Ex: first weekers with 3rd weekers and 2nd weekers with 4th weekers of the month of Feb. I'd make sure to give more info on the separate thread.
Maybe we'll just wait to see if there's more interested?

@concreteangell we could even have a thread for it where people put their own due dates and then find someone on there that isn't close to theirs and pair themselves up and just let you know for a spread sheet. It would save you some work and some people may already have a lb in mind.
@raptormomma I was going to ask that people enter their due dates on the sign up thread and for those who have formed friendships can definitely pair up on their own and post it there as well! I think we're on the same wave length

Guys I'm sitting here in the waiting room for my GD test (so much for my appointment that was supposed to be half an hour ago) and a lady just came in and I'm pretty sure she's in active labor. I'm over here all .
Yikes @WinchesterGirl! Hope she gets to the hospital soon and GL with your test!
Question for the peanut gallery-is going to a hockey game at 37 weeks pregnant a thing I am going to want to do? Presuppose that I normally would enjoy it, and the game is only 10 minutes from my delivery hospital.
@Xstatic3333 I'd say go for it! I went to see a hockey game at 39 weeks pregnant. I too, was about 10 minutes from the hospital and so I really wasn't worried about a thing.

@Xstatic3333 You will have somewhere to sit at the game, right? As long as there is somewhere you can get off your feet I'd say go for it! I mean, watching other people exercise + concession snacks is a win in my book.
Ok cool! I'll go for it. My job is doing a fundraiser night. It's at a big, comfy stadium with seats, but it's AHL so it won't be a total mob scene if we needed to get out quickly.
Love the labor buddy idea... May have lurked for October's "Labor and all it's Glory" thread from beginning to end. It was fun to see when people posted about their buddy heading in and then seeing the details show up in the announcements.
Also, I may have watched the second half of The Businesss of Being Born and all of The Milky Way last night... and have my intensive all-day birthing class this weekend. Will be heading into Thanksgiving week pumped for baby!
