AFM I did have my check up today and i'm on 10 days of stemming and today is the 11th tonight really. My left side just has small ones that keep popping up and going away that they can't even measure them The right one I have a 13, 12 and an 8. Its just frustrating that with 3 days of stemming each one went up 1 or 2. Usually 3 days should bring you to at least 2-3 in growth. It is amazing how different we all are, double digits would be amazing and i can't even get up to 5 UGH!!! I am very frustrated. My very first IVF cycle my left ovary did all the work and gave me 3 and the right only gave me 1. Why can't they just get on board at the same time. This is my 3rd round of IVF and to think I still won't make it to a transfer is just so frustrating and upsetting!!

@Hopeful_mom I feel your frustration! My ovaries do not like to work together either!
AFM- BW came back as expected today with E2 climbing to 418 ( I am current on day 6 of stims). I left my US in pretty good spirits, the tech told me she saw 8 follicles she could measure. However when the nurse called this afternoon she told me that 2 of my follies are measuring much larger than the rest...She called is discordant growth. I have 6 growing from 9.8-12.3 mm and then I have a 15.2mm and 16.5mm. My nurse said if they continue to be larger than the rest we may have to make a decision on if we are just going to let the bigger ones go and focus on the rest that are growing more evenly? Has anyone else ever had this problem? I am feeling so confused/conflicted, but trying not to stress over it. She did say there is a possibility that on Saturday things could look better, and it may not be an issue. So all my worry could be for not. I have another US and E2 on Saturday morning.

Its really a scary thing as next month there could only be 2 growing. I really hope that lil one catches up so if theres maybe 3 they would go in for it...They lean towards cancelling it BUT I need to sit tight and see what Sat. will bring. and @kp214 i'm so excited for your ER good luck! can't wait to hear all about it! @Knottie39402101 congrats on a great report! hoping they all make it to freeze!! @ljsmith805 I get your concerns BUT maybe its just me but I think all of those follies are still in the game!! Once follies get past 27 (so I've been told is when they're done) So if the bigger to get to 24 and the other are 16 you'll be perfect!! Don't stress and hope they all catch up to each other. I still think u have a chance for all of them. When I did IUIs they waited till I was in the 20's so I'm still feeling positive for u!!
AFM: It's noice that my dr called to follow up to see how I am and my thoughts on this cycle....how about her telling me the thoughts on this cycle Its hard as we really have to wait and see game. Do i really do another IUI, i think it will be my 5th or 6th...I've gone through the motions so much i'm just not sure.
@Colleen0516@kp214@jamieh2000 I also mentioned EPP to her and she said the reasoning shes not sure that would be good for me is because my Estrogen on day 2 has always been fine. I think theproblem with me is everything is so borderline (fsh good, afc not terrible) Other DOR have it worse she tells me YET I'm just not responding. I hate that this all has to be such a guessing game!!

Thank you @Hopeful_mom, that makes me feel a lot better! This is just all so new, its hard to know how to feel about everything and what to think. With all my IUIs my follicles were pretty even in growth. And side note for you my RE herself got pregnant on her 6th IUI, anything can happen:)
@Hopeful_mom my e2 has always been fine also. My amh is borderline for DOR. Your re is the specialist and knows more than I do. Just letting you know, though that we are pretty similar number-wise, although my afc has always been lower than normal. Good luck! Praying for you!

AFM - my meds will be coming in on the 15th, and will start on the 19th. I have no idea how my body will respond the first few day, but I know I have several photoshoots the 19th and 20th, so I'm hoping the side effects are delayed. I know I get chronic migraines with birth control, so I'm assuming it will be something similar.

I'm new to the boards but feel that it may be the support I need. This is my second IVF after a very low response in Sep, 4 eggs retrieved by none were strong enough for ICSI
This time around I primed on estrogen patch and Ganirelix and then throwing in some different meds to the cycle to see how I respond
yesterday was Day 1, so now it's 4 shots a day of Lupron and Follistim in the am and Lupron and Menopir in the pm.

@ljsmith805 I don't really feel like that sounds like that much of a disparity in size - at least not the point that it should be super concerning when you are only on day 6, in my opinion. At one point (around day 6/7 I think...)I had a 10mm and a 12mm then a bunch of approximate 4s (too small to measure so this was just an estimate from the U/S tech). My RE increased my meds a smidgen and all of a sudden everything started to grow faster, but still with pretty varied sizes.
I don't remember the specifics, but around day 9/10 I had a 19, a couple 18s then the rest were all 13s and 14s. My RE tweaked my meds again and everything started to balance out a bit, so maybe its just a matter of your RE manipulating your cocktail once you check in again on Saturday. Or maybe they will even out on their own! I did end up stimming for 13 days so that the other follicles could catch up since everything was slow and a bit screwy in the early days. It seemed to work as the majority of them ended up being between 19mm-25mm.
@hopeful_mom - no update today My clinic doesn't do embryo status updates on day 3 or 4 because they want to leave them undisturbed. I won't hear anything else about them until Saturday RIGHT before the transfer.
I am sorry to hear that everything is moving so slowly for you. Even with just a few follies I hope your RE will agree to get you to ER so that you can at least attempt the next stage.

@ljsmith805 its amazing how this magical thing should happen and it doesn't. I'm always shocked that an IUI with a great sample doesn't work, its literally be placed right on the egg and still nothing. So by the time we get to IVF and it still doesn't work on the first try, i still find in mind blowing. Its always nice to hear success stories!!
@kp214 thanks for the info. I'm definitely going to keep it in mid and address it again. Do you know if they would transfer a fresh and frozen at the same time? Everything is still so up in the air but IF this does go right, I feel like i want to try the EPP on the next go around. So excited for you!!!

@Hopeful_mom I don't know if they would transfer a fresh and a frozen. DH and I aren't tying to focus on one hurdle at a time. Now, it's ER. Afterwards, it will be the fertilization report tomorrow. We've had to break this process down into smaller pieces in order to not get ahead of ourselves.

Just came out and am still hooked up to monitors. They retrieved 10! That's the exact total from my two previous cycles! I'm so happy! Fertilization report this afternoon, update tomorrow and Monday. Wednesday, they will let me know how many will be biopsied, if some make it to day 5. Wow!

Hopeful_mom - I was worried about the wait to get other opinions too... but then I was able to get in one place within 2 weeks and the other was going to be Jan 20th, so I made the appt but figured I would cancel if I liked the other place. Then they called back and had a cancellation and were able to me in on 12/1! Its hard to think about waiting more.. but if this doesn't work.. maybe take Thanksgiving/Christmas off anyways to reset mentally and give your body a break? I know I'm younger, but also feel my clock ticking every day with DOR. I'm pretty certain I want to try EPP with NO micro dose Lupron next... but I think it will be good to get 3 opinions on what protocols are even left to try at this point.

@winnie81 had animals since i was 10, mom is allergic but finally gave in. Started out with kitties and they were really all strays they almost picked us. Lucky for me they all lived to their teens and one even to 20, I was very lucky. Then I became very unlucky and lost them in a fire, still mending my broken heart, but I'm getting there. Feed all the neighborhood cats though, my neighbors love me, not I did just save a kitten who was so sick, hopefully she'll pull through and we'll probably keep her.
@jamieh2000 in theory u are right yes!! I just know how it is, this month is insane for me at work this is my first moment for me all day and i'm eating breakfast/lunch on east coast time at 6pm so i know this stress in my life does not help. My chinese dr whos my acupuncturist is really trying to help me too. She truly believe mini IVF is the way to go BUT said that doing a round of EPP could be good too. I'm frustrated i missed this cycle in trying that u know! I understand why my dr did recommend that protocol and its cause my numbers dont show it BUT LIKE @KP214 Its not always like that. I'm glad I found such knowledgeable ladies here. It sucks going through more then one cycle, but nice to come away learning a thing or two. when do you go for beta?

Hi ladies! Just thought I would stop by and introduce myself....we are on round 3 of IVF and had a frozen embryo transfer today! Our first round ended in chemical pregnancy, second round gave us beautiful b/g twins and now we are trying again. Husband has infertility related to cystic fibrosis so IVF is the only option.
This time around we are doing daily progesterone shots instead of suppositories. Oh my gosh they are a pain! Anyone else get horrible headache afterwards?

@hopeful_mom I am so sorry that happened to you, that is heartbreaking to have to go through. I love that you feed the neighborhood kitties! We have catch and release programs here that help with fixing the feral cat issue in my city, but for some reason all the animals seem to migrate to our home, cats/dogs...Its as if they know they will be given a nice meal. I wish I could have an animal sanctuary.
About 20 minutes after posting about my fur babies, our oldest one had what appeared to be a seizure, and we just got back from Animal ER. This has been a stressful night, and I am praying it is related to his arthritis, and not a tumor. The good news is that they said his blood work/pressure was as healthy as a 6 month old puppy, which is a great thing (he is around 9).

@shauna43 it was tough to avoid testing, at least for me. DH didn't want me to test early. Said he didn't want me to be upset. I would rather prepare myself, though.

Genetic testing results back. 4/6 day 6 embroyos. All the same gender. I didn't want to know. What are the chances? Does anyone know if the resultant Lean towards a certain gender?

@shauna43- I think it's impressive you can do that!! It's gives me so much anxiety since I have never seen a positive. Maybe if I had a 5 day transfer I would have considered it! So glad the line is getting darker.
so the PIO has been getting better... butt is just a little sore all the time but each side usually recovers by the time it's that sides turn again. Does anyone else boobs hurt so much? When I was on the suppositories I noticed this a little, but now it's uncomfortable to even where a bra. If only this was a real sign and not a sign of the drugs... I'm curious what my progesterone is, guessing it must be pretty high now. Just trying to keep busy and get through the weekend!

@Hopeful_mom I feel your frustration! My ovaries do not like to work together either!
AFM- BW came back as expected today with E2 climbing to 418 ( I am current on day 6 of stims). I left my US in pretty good spirits, the tech told me she saw 8 follicles she could measure. However when the nurse called this afternoon she told me that 2 of my follies are measuring much larger than the rest...She called is discordant growth. I have 6 growing from 9.8-12.3 mm and then I have a 15.2mm and 16.5mm. My nurse said if they continue to be larger than the rest we may have to make a decision on if we are just going to let the bigger ones go and focus on the rest that are growing more evenly? Has anyone else ever had this problem? I am feeling so confused/conflicted, but trying not to stress over it. She did say there is a possibility that on Saturday things could look better, and it may not be an issue. So all my worry could be for not. I have another US and E2 on Saturday morning.

@ljsmith805 I get your concerns BUT maybe its just me but I think all of those follies are still in the game!! Once follies get past 27 (so I've been told is when they're done) So if the bigger to get to 24 and the other are 16 you'll be perfect!! Don't stress and hope they all catch up to each other. I still think u have a chance for all of them. When I did IUIs they waited till I was in the 20's so I'm still feeling positive for u!!
AFM: It's noice that my dr called to follow up to see how I am and my thoughts on this cycle....how about her telling me the thoughts on this cycle
@Colleen0516 @kp214 @jamieh2000 I also mentioned EPP to her and she said the reasoning shes not sure that would be good for me is because my Estrogen on day 2 has always been fine. I think theproblem with me is everything is so borderline (fsh good, afc not terrible) Other DOR have it worse she tells me YET I'm just not responding. I hate that this all has to be such a guessing game!!

I have no idea how my body will respond the first few day, but I know I have several photoshoots the 19th and 20th, so I'm hoping the side effects are delayed. I know I get chronic migraines with birth control, so I'm assuming it will be something similar.

I'm new to the boards but feel that it may be the support I need. This is my second IVF after a very low response in Sep, 4 eggs retrieved by none were strong enough for ICSI
This time around I primed on estrogen patch and Ganirelix and then throwing in some different meds to the cycle to see how I respond
yesterday was Day 1, so now it's 4 shots a day of Lupron and Follistim in the am and Lupron and Menopir in the pm.

I don't remember the specifics, but around day 9/10 I had a 19, a couple 18s then the rest were all 13s and 14s. My RE tweaked my meds again and everything started to balance out a bit, so maybe its just a matter of your RE manipulating your cocktail once you check in again on Saturday. Or maybe they will even out on their own! I did end up stimming for 13 days so that the other follicles could catch up since everything was slow and a bit screwy in the early days. It seemed to work as the majority of them ended up being between 19mm-25mm.

I am sorry to hear that everything is moving so slowly for you. Even with just a few follies I hope your RE will agree to get you to ER so that you can at least attempt the next stage.

@hopeful_mom I love my fur kids! They have always been there to distract us/cheer us up during our sad moments. It is so neat how different each personality is as well. This year we are going to try and make a Christmas card with all of them to send out. Should be fun! What about you, do you have any furbies?

I just know how it is, this month is insane for me at work this is my first moment for me all day and i'm eating breakfast/lunch on east coast time at 6pm so i know this stress in my life does not help. My chinese dr whos my acupuncturist is really trying to help me too. She truly believe mini IVF is the way to go BUT said that doing a round of EPP could be good too. I'm frustrated i missed this cycle in trying that u know! I understand why my dr did recommend that protocol and its cause my numbers dont show it BUT LIKE @KP214 Its not always like that. I'm glad I found such knowledgeable ladies here. It sucks going through more then one cycle, but nice to come away learning a thing or two. when do you go for beta?

Feeling down...been testing out trigger and testing...going crazy . im 4dp5dt and theres a line but is it trigger ...idk ? dont have any symptoms other than insane hunger.

May 13- Started Stims 300 follistim,75 menopur, 10 lupron stimmed for 10 days
May 24- 16 eggs retrieved, 12 mature eggs, 8 fertilized, 5 to blast. qty 2 day 6 AA blast. qty 3 7 day blast grades AA and AB.
Have 3 NORMAL PGS TESTED GIRLS. 1 "INCONCLUSIVE" embryo still good for use.
7/8- Started AF and Estraidol patches
8/2- FET scheduled ( HUBBY BDAY!!!) and my clinic automatically uses EMBRYO GLUE!
8/2- Transferred 1 6AA pgs tested girl
8/15 - Beta #1 137 I AM PREGNANT!!!! EDD 4/20/17

9/1- MISCARRIAGE. Baby stopped growing at 5 weeks 3 days.

11/2/16-ER 43 eggs retrieved. 15 mature. 9 Fertilized. All 9 still growing but 4 are leading and are 8 cell day 3 grade AA.

This time around we are doing daily progesterone shots instead of suppositories. Oh my gosh they are a pain! Anyone else get horrible headache afterwards?

About 20 minutes after posting about my fur babies, our oldest one had what appeared to be a seizure, and we just got back from Animal ER. This has been a stressful night, and I am praying it is related to his arthritis, and not a tumor. The good news is that they said his blood work/pressure was as healthy as a 6 month old puppy, which is a great thing (he is around 9).

Sorry to hear such sad stories regarding fur babies! I have one spoiled rotten fur baby who has also had seizures in the past. They can be very scary

@shauna43 it was tough to avoid testing, at least for me. DH didn't want me to test early. Said he didn't want me to be upset. I would rather prepare myself, though.

so the PIO has been getting better... butt is just a little sore all the time but each side usually recovers by the time it's that sides turn again. Does anyone else boobs hurt so much? When I was on the suppositories I noticed this a little, but now it's uncomfortable to even where a bra. If only this was a real sign and not a sign of the drugs... I'm curious what my progesterone is, guessing it must be pretty high now. Just trying to keep busy and get through the weekend!
