@mcdonald-bailey My daughter will have the middle name Rose also! Today, my front runner first names are Amelia, Emma or London. DH and I can't really make a "final" decision or anything but I think we are leaning towards Amelia Rose.
We are struggling with names. A girl name, possibly Irish as she's due so close to St. Patty's day...today I'm liking the name Bridget, but, I need options and am coming up blank.
I think we have it down to two names first names, and set on a middle name. The name DH likes more, this baby will have the same initials as DS, which I'm not a huge fan of. It would be mostly a coincidence, but then I almost feel boxed into it if we have a third kid, and I don't like that at all. Would it be weird for two kids to have the same initials and a third one not? I might just take the easy road out and use the other name, which we also like...

After weeks of negotiations, I think we have decided to name our baby boy Mason Timothy. Mason because 1. we like it and 2. my DH and several men in his family are/were freemasons so it is a nod to them without it being blatant; and Timothy after both my brother who has a disability and will never have children of his own and my FIL. We are still looking at other names just to keep our options open but I don't know, this little guy seems like this name will fit him. Is Mason too common of a name though? I really don't want him to always have to include his last initial because there are 3 other Masons in his class at school.
@thisisallyson I really like Mason. It was in our top 5. Popularity varies by state. You can look it up on the social security website. We're in Illinois and as of present Mason is in the top 10 boys names. I personally would pick whatever I felt was right- popular or not.
@DizzyMom Gah! I am in Illinois too. Picking a name for our son has been so difficult (DH won't just let me name him whatever I want....THE NERVE! haha) and now that we both like Mason, I don't wanna ruin it.

Haha I feel ya! I'm sure you will choose the perfect name. Good luck!
Names are by far the most difficult part of team green. We were leaning toward Isla Margaret for a girl, but have also thrown around: Bellamy Dallas Maisie Blair Tavia Sloan
And for boys
Anders Clinton Thomas Corbin Carter Piers Asher Declan Deacon
@cbhemi1218 just out of curiosity what do you have picked out for little girl? I was head over heals for our boy name, Alistair, but this is our last babe and it's a girl lol. I'm secretly wishing that somewhere down the road someone close to me will choose the name haha
We've decided on Alexander Eliot. Still tinkering with the spelling for Eliot. DH likes this spelling after T.S. Eliot. DS1's middle name is Emerson, so this would be our second literary name. Too pretentious?
@chrlyr I like it! And hopefully it will make both of them want to read something by their "namesakes" one day. (I'm an avid bookworm and my husband is not...I'm totally desperate to raise readers. I know I can't totally control that but I'll do ask much as I can!)
Miles is a great choice! We are doing a MN... I find it's a nice way for us to honor loved ones..just curious, do you have a specific reason for not wanting to do one?
I'm loving the name Miles! ....but anyone else not doing a middle name by any chance?
I am doing a middle name to honor my angel baby but my best friend and husband don't have middle names. I was considering giving baby a name with same initials as DH but then ditched the idea
I think we might actually have a girl's name that we both like. Victoria. We need something that goes well with big brother Oliver and we both like classic names. We were watching The Crown on Netflix and the woman who plays Princess Margaret's name is Victoria. Husband said he liked. I said I liked it and that was that. However, I'm not in love with it. I like it, but I so don't want someone to call her Vicky/i. I love Viola but husband isn't sold and he likes it as a middle name. I don't think Victoria Viola flows well. We're still drawing a big blank on a boy's name. Ugh this is even harder than the first time around!
@Gators&BoSox I totally understand that! For us we really don't have a need to have one if that makes sense... no family or friends names that we would add to his name, no multiple beloved names we can't live without. So DH and I found it unnecessary to add one. I actually would love to hear more people's reasons for wanting to have a middle name because I know it's unpopular that we won't have one. I asked a friend of mine and she said that it's because they would have a name to switch to if they didn't like their first name. I thought that was an interesting reason. hopefully he will like his given name but if he doesn't I think he could always change it to whatever he wants when he's old enough regardless of a middle name.

Alistair was on my boys list the first time around! I'm sorry you can't use it, still love that name. We have a son with MN Alexander now though, so we wouldn't have used it even if this one were a boy. Alas.
After lots of vetoing on both sides, I think we've finally settled on Lia Grace as our "this is it, unless we stumble across something we love more before she shows up" name. It's funny; my mom has been watching my daughter for us a lot lately as we prepare to move, and my daughter has been (independently) telling her that the baby's name is Lia/Leah. It wasn't even on the list, but then out of nowhere last week DH asked me about that very name. I'm positive neither of them got the idea from the other, just sheer coincidence.

@Bluebird2318 i really like the name lia. grace goes good with it. we will be using the name lia for our baby girls nickname. i believe we have officially decided on aliyah for her name.
DH and I have a laundry list of names but we aren't deciding until the baby arrives and we get a grasp of their personality. We didn't agree on DS's name until he was born either cause we are super indecisive hahaha. I place great importance on the meaning, history, and overall vibe of the name. Our girl names are Gwendolyn, Lucia, Lilah, Samantha, and Medli, with the middle name Rose-Marie. If its a surprise boy, it would be Quintin Mitchell- Quintin is Latin for "fifth son" which we like because my hubby has three boys from a previous marriage and our shared son plus the new one, making five sons! Tough choices!!
DD is Emilia Ann and the current front runner for DD 2 is Blythe. However, we are having trouble finding a middle name that we love with Blythe. I feel like it needs to be 3 syllables. Any suggestions from you lovely ladies?!
