Can't wait to find out @AllyTheKid (even though I'm bottle feeding I imagine it will be just as precious )
Due on Weds and first day of maternity leave today, and sooo ready for baby to show up cause I'm already bored. Staying home is great and all but I'd like a little babe keeping me busy!
@kelliott09 Congratulations on your sweet baby girl! I was feeling your pain about the skunk/dog situation. My dog rolled in dead frog as I was leaving for my baby shower. I had to get undressed and bath her before I could leave.
I'm having my first, "Oh shit" moment. Home from work today because DS is sick (sinus infection). Work has been hassling me, DS wants to cuddle, then he wants me to "race" him around the house. I'm exhausted. Would kill for a nap.
Made his lunch, he started eating and then I made mine. Sat down and two bites into mine DS is finished. Wants down. Get him out of his booster, sit back down for two more bites, then he has to poop (which he still does in a diaper even though he has peed in the potty for a couple of months). Put his diaper on, sit back down. Take a bite, then hear, "Done pooping! Change me, please!"
Lunch cold.
What will i do with two kids (well, other than not eat...)?
*side note: DS won't poop in the potty because he's, "scared of the plop."
@f47 my husband went up to take a shower this morning while my toddler was finishin breakfast. Baby decided he needed to nurse. No problem. Until toddler decided he was done eating and needed to be washed up immediately. So I carry nursing baby to the sink, get a washcloth, carry nursing baby in one arm and washcloth in the other hand and wash toddler up. Then, of course, toddler needs to go potty so into the bathroom we go. Baby nursing in one arm while I use the other arm to help toddler get his pants and diaper off (time to switch to pull-ups or undies) and help him sit on the potty. When he's done, baby is still nursing, so I've got to empty the potty one-handed. Toddler was naked from the waist down until baby was done because there's no way I could get a diaper and pants on him one-handed.
First day of maternity leave. I've swept, cleaned the laundry room, did the dishes, laundry, handled insurance snafus, and now taking a property brothers break before starting the second half of my day. Gotta say maternity leave without a baby is the tits. I thought I would be working until the baby came, but I couldn't handle it. Props to those who are still working, but don't try to tough it out if you don't have to. We have a long road ahead and lots of preparations to do, and I know I was not getting anything done at home while working overtime at 39 weeks!
I've been missing for a while so I'm not sure when the last time I updated on my missing medical records saga was, but today WE GOT THEM! 39 weeks today and have been fighting to get my records from DS's birth for 20+weeks. emails, phone calls, faxes all got the run around and I finally got irritated enough to drive the 1.5 hours and demand they give them to me in person.
@chriscasey33 My mom and I have been running every errand we can think of. I'm kind of wondering what we will do tomorrow.... ha
Eventually I will rest,as should you! The urge to do things is strong though after grocery shopping and making a huge batch of dinner (planning to freeze the leftovers), I'm on the couch. I figure 8-5 of productivity on my first day of leave is pretty good.
You guys, my parents got a new puppy and I'm obsessed. He's a mini doxie named Ollivander. "Ollie" for short. They have 2 other doxies named Dobby and Poppy (we're Harry Potter fans, obviously) He's so damn cute, I can't stand it!
@MRSCORKER... Puppies!!! He's so cute! They're the best when they're someone else's too... You get all the cuddles, they get all the crappy puppy behavior lol. Also, you look great!

Omg, @MRSCORKER ! I love doxies!! I mean, who doesn't love puppies, but cute little hot dog puppies just kill me! I want to squeeze him! So. cute. Get allllll the puppy snuggles and then leave the puppy crate and potty training to your parents!
Also, you look amazing! I'm currently in cut off sweatpants and my husband's largest T-shirt. I commend you for wearing real clothes.
@LMNOBaby The only reason I was wearing real clothes is because my sisters dragged me out. It was the first time I'd worn something other than sweats in days!

@SuperNerd42 I have finally resorted to black workout leggings and my DH's over sized flannel and my UGGS. I'm so uncomfy lately, even maternity jeans are a no go today. Luckily I have tons of l work out bottoms and DH has tons of button downs, so I should be good till labor hits!

@SuperNerd42@sportiegrl1213 I've been wearing yoga pants to work for the past week or so because my legs are so swollen that my maternity pants won't fit anymore. I was dressing them up a bit with long cardigans but the weather in my area can't make up its mind about whether or not summer is over. Fortunately, I only have 3 days of work left.
Just gave baby a pep talk, told her it would be great if she decided to come out today, she'd share a bday with her grandma, it's a gorgeous fall day, etc. The balls in her court
@ball4768 ugh I wish I only had 3 days left of work. I don't go out till labor hits.
I don't have any swelling, but a lot of pressure and where my maternity jean sit under my belly makes it worse, so screw it. Comfort is most important these last 12 days (if he arrives on time)

@sportiegrl1213 My mat jeans hurt in the same place! Thank goodness I'm working from home full time now, I would seriously be rolling up in my sweats otherwise.

My least favorite part of still working is trying to find real clothes to wear everyday. Most of my maternity shirts fail to cover the belly any more

@sportiegrl1213 That's what I did the few days before and during labor, and the whole first week PP- leggings, flats, and FI's button downs
