@sportiegrl1213 I'm rocking a maxi skirt today only because I had to go to the doctor. It's at least soft and comfortable! Hope you're feeling some better today!

The weather has been in the 30's in the mornings and only the 50's in the afternoons here in CT already, so my maxi skirts have been retired LOL. Actually all my summer clothes have been packed away already.
As for how I'm feeling, I still have tons of pressure when I try walking around and my lower back pain is still there. I have the waddle down packed! Ha! Hopefully there is more progress when I see my Dr tomorrow.
How did your appointment go??? Anything change @ibabyloveb87? Come on Baby B!!
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
@sportiegrl1213 See response to AllyTheKid on the labor thread! I'm feeling better about things, plus we got a surprise ultrasound to confirm he's head down (he is!) and he has DH's mouth/lips I think

Everybody around here is complaining that it's still 80+ degrees during the day but I'm loving it. I need the cool weather to hold off until baby gets here because I have no pants that fit. And I can't possibly imagine stuffing my feet into anything but flip flops right now.
@Kaessi... Definitely wore jeans, a sweater and.... Flip flops... To the doctor's office today bc my feet don't fit any any of my real shoes anymore. I'm sure I looked ridiculous lol

This is basically my normal everyday wear even when not pregnant. lol... I also wore the exact same thing to the docs this morning. There is no way these swollen ham hocks are fitting in shoes!

It is totally egregious, but I've been wearing.......SLIPPERS to work and around town. Not even incognito slipper, just straight up old person, open back slippers. Having feet 4 sizes bigger than normal limits your fashion wear haha
So the MIL texts this weekend and asks what we still need. (Can I insert here that the ONLY thing she has gotten for us is a bag full of random crocheted crap that we neither need nor want). She tells us that her neighbors (sweet little old couple that my H grew up with) have given her money to go get us something. Cool. I respond that we still need bottles and text her with a picture and an exact description of what we want. She sends back a picture today with the caption "This is what I got ya." Yeah...the only thing similar is that they are both Playtex brand. I'll just add them to the pile of stuff to take back, thanks. Annoying, but whatever. Here is what really got me though, that I thought you guys would also be amused by....she tells me that she still has my husband's bottles and I am welcome to them. Seriously said, "They're Playtex also, you'll just need to buy some new nipples." Can anyone understand or explain to me why on earth this woman still has her 35 year old son's baby bottles?!?! That's a bit ridiculous, right?
@Kaessi whaaaaat? Why do people save stuff like that? Maybe maybe one bottle if they're getting really into sentimental items, but otherwise that is so weird!!!!

To say she has an unhealthy attachment to my husband is putting it mildly! Right after we found out I was pregnant she told me she had all of my husband's blue jeans from when he was a baby/toddler so I didn't need to go out and buy this baby any because "it will have plenty." Yeah....I'm sure our baby girl will love rockin' her dad's circa 1982 Wranglers!
@Kaessi sounds like my MIL, she literally kept everything from all 4 kids. She mailed us some coupons last week and I'm 99.9% certain a couple of them are at least 25 years old based on how yellowed they are and they were from products that I don't think even exist anymore. She also gave me a bag of my H's sisters baby clothes....I'm like wtf, I don't want this stuff, like sorry but those clothes hold no sentimental meaning to me and I'm not going to be dressing baby in clothes from 1989.

it was cold here this morning...do your feet not freeze?

@MRSCORKER OMG - I just love puppy faces and their little puppy noses!! I want to snuggle that pup so badly!
Also, it could snow tomorrow and I'll still be rocking flip flops (which are currently my husband's because mine are TOO TIGHT!) - I can't even attempt to stick these balloons in actual shoes!
I would LOVE to dress my baby in clothes from 1981 - I wish my mom had kept at least a few of mine! I actually bought one outfit specifically because it looks very much like one I am wearing in some of my baby pictures.
If I were having a boy, I'd like to have had some of my husband's baby clothes. However, his mom couldn't even find pictures of him when we were planning our wedding and trying to get some pictures of us both at different ages. I had to freaking scan pictures of him from my old yearbooks.
There is snow in the upper half of this state right now too! I am so not ready for that, but especially because I dont have a coat that will fit me right now! I need sweater weather to hold out for a few more weeks.
I have two pair of shoes that fit at the moment, so I'm limping along with those. I miss the rest of my wardrobe!
My MIL gave us a few of Hs clothing pieces- pants and a few sweaters. Neither of my boys will end up wearing them. She also gave us his toddler bedding which I felt really bad about not using.
My feet grew a full shoe size with DD1. I had to replace all my shoes and I still miss some of them. I'm hoping the same won't happen again this round!

I have a few of my baby outfits that my mom had saved that I'm super grateful for & am excited to put my baby in. Like @spaceburger said, I think saving a few things for sentimental value is cool, just not an entire wardrobe. Or 30 baby bottles!! This is slightly related but also humorous - I remembered earlier that the MIL also tried to give me a crocheted shower curtain cover for my wedding (whatever that is?!) that she had crocheted right after her & her husband got married 35+ years ago. It was mauve. With giant satin bows for tie backs. I could go on...lol
@Kaessi- and I thought my MIL was a horrible gifter. I mean, she has about a 50% success rate with the off stuff being REALLY off... But it's no crocheted shower curtain cover lol
My MIL hasn't gotten anything for this baby but I'm not complaining! She keeps telling H she's gonna get him this or that but we know she never will. Most likely scenario is she'll get an outfit for him at the swap meet that will need to be burned for sterilization.

I'm 38 weeks and I just bought 2 pairs of maternity pants which seems like such a waste of money but it's cold and my other pants don't fit and I guess I can use them for future pregnancies.
If everyone could be super active on TB today, that would be greatly appreciated I've passed all my work to the people covering for me when I'm on leave and have one call on the calendar today that doesn't start until 4pm.... I've been at work less than an hour and I'm already bored out of my mind. I want to see if my bestie wants to come over and go for a walk with her new LO... but she's my boss too and that would look bad. lol... so I'm gonna need my internet friends to step up and entertain me j/k y'all
also... @MRSCORKER, if you could make the 8ish hour drive to NC so I can snuggle that puppy, that would be great! hahaha... seriously though, came back to this page just to look at that cute puppy
@bnsmith85 - I second more activity on TB today!! After attempting to work right up until my water broke, I decided on Monday that today would be my last day of work...I'm due on Monday anyway, and I'm just so done! So, while I SHOULD be scrambling to tie up loose ends, I think I've already checked out and keep checking here for any kind of updates to distract me from boredom. Just 6 more hours to go!
