We have 4 bathrooms and somehow DH still poops in the one I'm getting ready in each morning. There is really no privacy here, especially with a toddler. We have no shame when it comes to anything.
Also, @lfrank12 - your friend sounds super self centered. If you can't go (or don't want to go for that matter), then she needs to drop it. I get that she's bummed, but harping on you isn't going to change your mind. I'm sorry she's being lame
We flew home tonight and as we were loading the car seat DD started puking everywhere. Pretty much the whole way home and just did again in bed. I'm hoping that was the last of it. I put her in bed with us so I'm not expecting sleep tonight. We're supposed to do Disney tomorrow and she is going to be a flower girl on Saturday so hopefully this is just some fluke. Also the Apple pedialyte is disgusting when it comes back up.
It's National coffee day so at Dunkin' Donuts I got a medium hot coffee for 66 cents. I was planning on a hot chocolate, but changed my mind because I'm cheap and need a coffee today. I'm not really a fan of coffee, but DS was up at 4:30 today and this morning sucked so yeah coffee it is. There's nothing like having a nice warm hot chocolate, tea or whatever on a chilly fall morning.
@raptormomma, how is your daughter doing? I hope she feels better soon. Are you feeling any better? I thought you had said you weren't feeling too good either.
I know I'm late to the party but @lfrank12 honestly try not to let it bother you. You've told her you can't go for obvious reasons and she should be able to respect that. Honestly most people don't get it until they've had a baby. My cousin got married in Mexico on monther's day weekend when my son was about 7 -8 months old. He wouldn't take a bottle and would only breastfeed so leaving him with someone wasn't an option(and I wasn't ready for that yet). Secondly I had no desire to travel with a baby to another country. People need to get over themselves when it comes to their weddings. Yea the wedding festivities and bachelorette parties are fun and people want to participate, but they're not everyone else's obligation to stop their lives and bend over.
On on another note I have a wedding to attend Saturday and no clue what I'm wearing...
Anyone else not nesting or feeling the need to prepare much? I'm beyond impressed and intrigued by the organization, motivation and creativity of so many people on here.
@raptormomma I watched This Is Us last night! So good! I cried so many tears. Let me just preface my reaction with a little back story:
****SPOLIERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED****
I cried like a baby at the end of the first episode. For like 10 whole minutes. Then, as I was laying down in bed, I realized the OMG the mom and dad must die at some point! So then I literally cried myself to sleep thinking about it...because I'm an emotional basket case right now.
Which brings us to the 2nd episode. When I saw the necklace, I let out a sigh of relief and said "OH THANK GOD!"...but then they panned to who she was with and I burst into tears. I was inconsolable for like another 15 minutes, because all I could think of is the fact the he must die at some point, and we're going to have to watch it!!! I don't think I can handle it!!
@scifichick09 I wonder if they are just making us think that he died but I wonder if they are just divorced. I'm so happy they are doing flashbacks. I thought the parents wouldn't be in anymore episodes after the first one.
I'll also add comments to @lfrank12 - no one else gets to dictate how you spend your money. It's no one's business. You could be millionaires and still decide a destination bachelorette party is not something you'd like your money to go towards, no one's entitled to spend your money for you. No matter how *special* they deem themselves or their celebrations.

Me. I've actually kinda come to terms with the fact that I probably won't be doing much to prepare for baby besides getting the basics a newborn needs and going from there once he is born. I also personally attitude this to being a STM, as a FTM I was doing a lot more at this point to prepare for the baby.
I have flashes where I want to do stuff in the nursery and then I actually think about doing it and get lazy and don't. I know I should do stuff now when I feel fine and can easily get up and down, but eh. It will work out.

Hah! This is me. For example today while I've had all day to myself, I have had lunch with my daughter, and been here on TB. I'm currently Hungry and will be eating a super late lunch. I'm not the most productive person lately. But I did get a good start on cleaning out the baby room the other day. It'll get there.
So we got our crib delivered this week and still haven't finished cleaning out the room that will be the nursery. Also, my parents are coming down to visit in a week and a half. I've known this for a month and have done nothing. Now I'm going to be cleaning my house for the next week like a mad woman.
My kid is such a sweaty sleeper. It doesn't matter what he's wearing, or that the a/c and fan are cranked, his hair always turns into a sweaty mess of ginger fuzz.
I also haven't prepared much at all. This is our third, and so far, we've kind of had more of a "we'll get it eventually" type attitude. We've agreed ona first name, but no middle name. No crib yet. She won't have her own room. I'm too chill... it's kind of freaking me out. Normally I'm a control freak.

I opened the Pre-Baby Lists thread this afternoon, started to get sweaty and sick to my stomach and decided I would need to read that later... This reaction might have been made worse because I went to a Children's Place with a co-worker over lunch and picked up a few bodysuit things and look at PJ's and almost started crying. I felt so overwhelmed. Put the clothes back on the racks and bought nothing. DH and I have done nothing so far (outside of me ordering my breast pump because it was free and I only had two choices). My co-worker did offer to go to Babies R Us and help me with a list (probably noticed I was a mess). Plenty of time to do it all, right?
@WinchesterGirl - That's why I couldn't face shopping yet: I have no lists. No, seriously. I don't want to start buying things willy nilly without knowing what I really need/want. Like, how many onesies are too many? And, in which sizes? How many bottles do I need? We really need to get the nursery underway (paint colors, etc.) so I can start choosing everything else.
On a lighter note, we went to TJMaxx after Children's Place. They had a well known brand of swaddle blankets there for $20, which I would have bought if they hadn't been pink. I kept referring to them as Aden and Anus and I think my co-worker was terribly embarrassed by me.

Ya, that's why I said nobody should be naming their kid "Anus." It makes people embarrassed.
@MLRocha that is a good steal - I love Aden & Anais everything! It's all over my registry.
Also - unpasteurized juice isn't really that bad for preggies is it? This new fresh pressed juicery opened by my office and they have been giving out free bottles of juice all week and I'm dying to drink the one my coworker brought me that is sitting on my desk. Its ridiculously priced, like $7-10 a bottle, so its from a high quality establishment. I'd be fine to drink it right, right??
@MissMerciBeaucoup I would totally say it's your judgement call. You know your body best, and I would go in and ask how they make it! The other day I went into a shop that had unpasteurized orange juice... but I literally watched them take the oranges, put them in the machine, and the machine cut the oranges and squeezed the juice into my bottle. And i figured, how could that be much different than if I just peeled the orange and ate it myself? So, I bought a 16 oz bottle and chugged the entire glorious thing within an hour and had no issues! And I have dreamt about that orange juice nearly every day since!
@MissMerciBeaucoup I've been drinking unpasteurized juice my entire pregnancy. But like @Teachermom2517 , my grocer takes fresh oranges and juices those the same day.
@WinchesterGirl Lists are totally part of my process too, so I feel you. However, another part of my process is avoiding the situation until I feel slightly stressed and overwhelmed, THEN I make the list. It's my process, I've tried to change my process, but it is what it is. So I will come back to your list post in... I'm guessing... 3rd week of October is when I will likely go crazy with list making. And I will be all over it then. But until then, I definitely also got slightly sweaty and nauseated when I read all the organizing people are doing. All totally normal, part of my process....
DH is watching the "League of Legends World Championship" right now and giving me regular updates. I knew he was a nerd when I married him. What I didn't know was the extent to which his nerdiness would grow.
On the bright side, he's FINALLY done with the military forever next month and I'm so freaking excited. I don't even mind driving across the entire state for hours to return his gear to Ft. Bragg.

forgot that!
