We are team green too! I already have family members so really want to know! But, they will have to wait like everyone else, hehe. I kind of enjoy people wanting to know so badly cuz me and DH are pretty chill about it.
We haven't announced yet but we will be team green as well. I know it's gonna get old when people ask "what are you having?" And our response will be "a baby!"
@shaunessa technically team green means you are not finding out until birth. if you're finding out next week, just wait to cast your vote in the poll (if you haven't voted already)

@RachelGreene we were team green with our first and everyone at my work called the baby "baby bok choy" It did get a bit old telling people we were waiting, but most people were impressed! I wish we were waiting this time too

The Chinese gender chart says boy for me. Out of curiosity, I asked the tech at our NT scan what her guess, based on nub theory, was; she said boy. I should find out early next week (Panorama) and will post then.
I never believed people who said they had no preference on gender, that they just wanted a healthy baby, but I do now. Although I am very eager to find out the gender of our baby, I truly just want a healthy baby.
This is not meant to sound snarky... but it's probably going to come off that way. Apologies.
Do we on the bump not care about the difference between sex and gender? I remember it being very clear oh so long ago, that we always discuss biological sex and not gender. Not a thing we care about anymore? Also not trying to thread jack, just trying to get an answer.
Oh yes @JaneArson I remember many many many correction posts about gender v sex when I was on TB a couple years ago. I wondered if this would still be addressed/cared about

@janearson I also care and have been making sure to use sex when I talk about it with friends. Don't know why I called it the Chinese Gender Chart. Other than I guess that's what the internet calls it.

I was going to write in the UO thread that the misuse of gender vs sex drives me absolutely bananas. B-A-N-A-NAS. I know it's not a big deal to a lot of people, but they're not the ones affected by it.
I always correct gender vs sex in my head whilst reading. Some people honestly don't understand the difference so I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.
@thecavfamily I didn't really believe those people either. Deep down I knew I wanted a girl when I was pregnant with DD. Would I have loved a boy? Absolutely. But I couldn't lie to myself and say I didn't care. I only told a couple of people about my preference. DH said he truly didn't care with DD. I did't believe him and it just bothered me that I felt like he was lying. This time around I truly, honestly do not care. I go back and forth because there are tons of good things with either sex. DH has admitted this time that he is hoping for another girl. So, our roles are reversed.
We are not finding out until the anatomy scan. So, I will let you know then.
I do know the correct use of gender and sex and try to use the right one on here because I know a lot of people care and I don't want to offend them. My confession, I do not care at all and in real life don't try and differentiate. I think this, especially when it comes to unborn babies. But, I will try and use the correct forms on here.

I want to clarify that I'm not judging the misuse of the word gender vs. sex at all especially because I think a lot of times it comes from lack of knowledge or just quickly writing about something and not thinking about the difference. I'm just going to leave this here for everyone, it's my favorite (hopefully it's not huge!)
Happy friday everyone! We just got our panorama results back and we will be having a little boy. So excited. Now I just need to think of a cute way to present it to DH!
MMC @ 10w March 2016 Cautiously expecting April 5, 2017
Congrats!!! I just did my panorma on Tuesday and waiting for the results so impatiently!! I was going to get a small cake with "it's a..." And have the bakery do a blue or pink filling, and was going to have DH mom or dad cut it and reveal. I don't want to do a big party but I think this is more intimate and let's the grandparents feel involved. Hopefully we find out by Monday! So excited
We had our appointment today! We are waiting for our blood test results which should be ready in about 7 to 10 days, but the ultrasound was rather clear and the tech said she'd be shocked if we didn't have a BOY! My gut feeling was right once again lol Can't wait to tell my DD
@aboxofchocolates I did the harmony test at 12 weeks and found out it's a girl. My U/S tech also thought it was a girl at 12 weeks (but some practices won't give you answers at that point). I think if you don't do NIPS or have an U/S tech that will venture a guess (and TBH if I wasn't doing the test I probably wouldn't have wanted to hear her guess) you won't find out until the A/S around 18-20 weeks.
DD #1: April 2017 DD #2: May 2020 Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022
@aboxofchocolates I'm not doing any extra testing so I won't find out until anatomy scan around 18-20 weeks. But I don't mind. I don't care; I'm kind of enjoying the anticipation haha. You might have to wait til then too unless you have other testing scheduled.
@Cook3133 I loved being team green with our first, and I would have liked to do it again this time too, and once you get past the anatomy scan, there usually isn't much opportunity for ultrasounds so the temptation isn't there. Good luck with your decision!

We were team green with DS, and we were told by the tech at 2 different appointments to turn our heads if we didn't want to know (which made me assume boy). But in both U/S, he would not show us his face at all! Hands up both times.
We were team green for our first two babies and both wanted to be, so we loved it! I'm glad we did that, but for some reason before I was even pregnant this time I felt like if we are blessed with a third I need to know. So I've been mentioning that to DH all along, like during all the months of TTC, the months being pg so far, etc. Today he was like "I still don't want to know!" I am working on him though. I am quite sure this will be our last so I want everything really girly or boyish from day 1.
We found out today from the Verifi test that we are having our third boy! All of the things they check for came back negative, so he's a healthy little guy.
We won't find out until our anatomy scan at 20 weeks...before getting pregnant I had contemplated waiting to find out...and now, I think that waiting until 20 weeks is a long enough wait I have been telling people that there will be enough surprises awaiting me in the delivery room on D-day
@aboxofchocolates I just found out this morning (11w3d) from my NIPT (MaterniT21 for AMA - I'll be 39 in a week and a half) blood draw from last Wednesday at 10w2d. Very grateful came back negative for all screens and learned we're having a girl (but DH doesn't want to know yet ).
