  • @Starfish113 I'm also an itty bitty titty committee member: the pleasure of buying a bra in a size you thought was only attainable in your wildest dreams is pretty awesome too. Plus, less squeezy ;)
I'm jealous of both of you. My boobs haven't gotten the memo that I'm pregnant. While I can't fit into my old bras, I still barely got anything extra :(
  • Re: Registries. I've been working on mine basically since my BFP because I'm a bit of a control freak. And it just helped me feel prepared. Since we don't know the sex yet, I mayyyy have made two registries (one of each). Aka, I did.
And since I'm now on bedrest, I made these little collages today of stuff from those registries. It was way too much fun

  • Congrats @skiingstark! A pregnant 10k is no joke, and the Disney races look so much fun. I'm getting the running big again lately, but I'm only back up to two miles at a slow jog. I may find a 5k to run/walk this fall sometime.
  • Re: registeries.  I've started mine, although we have a lot of items were reusing from DS.  Mostly just things like a few new bottles, bottle cleaner, pacifiers, stuff like that.

  • @poetryandoceans has your admin never taught?! How quickly people forget what it's really like on the ground...

what do you all think about starting a teacher thread? Not a weekly, just one we can keep posting on so our shop talk doesn't take over other threads as it has at times. I know there's a bunch of us...

@srscott3 loving everything! Also I have that crib I'm pretty sure... is it babyletto?
  • I'm mad at H for being an ass when I came home and wasn't able to get my contacts today.
I'm 18+4 and my A/S still isn't scheduled because they haven't called me to schedule it. I'll be making a call tomorrow mid afternoon. And I'm effing exhausted.
  • @MommaBean This is a question that gets asked in my department all. the time. I'd be game for a teacher thread. Especially as we start approaching our leaves!

@Spicyweiner yea, unfortunately :/ I posted a bit earlier this week about how I was having this week-long brown spotting/discharge. It ended up being enough fluid (of whatever it was) that I was filling pads. So I saw my OB and she said to take it easy. Then as of last night I started bleeding (bright red, no clots). We went to the ER where H works and my OB happened to be the OB doc on call. I filled about half a pad on the way to the hospital and bled a bit when I got there. They did exams and tests and I had a high BP, but don't know where the bleeding is coming from. My OB said that my cervix was closed and long and that the placenta wasn't near the opening. And we heard the baby, saw it move, and heard its strong heartbeat. So thankfully I know the baby is okay, but the bleeding is what worried us. I got home around 3am this morning, stayed home from school today, and OB has me on bedrest until they know what it is. It has lightened up a bit, and I see my doc tomorrow, so we'll see what she says.
  • Oh man, that sounds scary! Hope they figure out what is going on quickly and that it's nothing to worry (more) about.
  • @srscott3 I hope bleeding resolves soon and that both you and your baby are healthy.  That's got to be nerve wracking!

  • Thank you @AfKash, so far so good. Definitely hoping it stays that way
  • @srscott3 sorry to hear about bleeding and bed rest! Did they see any evidence of a subchorionic hematoma on ultrasound?

  • @srscott3 I hadn't realized! How strange that they can't figure out what it is. Glad to hear the baby is good, but hope they find a solution and get you off bed rest soon!
  • @srscott3 I'm so glad baby is doing okay and I hope the bleeding issue resolves itself soon and that you get some answers! Thinking of you .

    Thanks! Me too!

I'm kind of in that weird "so calm it's almost crazy" state. I thought I would be freaking out a lot more. But my OB gave me a doppler to take home and that has helped a lot, even just today. Plus with H working at the hospital I don't feel nervous to have to go in. He's actually on a rotation in trauma surgery right now, which is awesome. His chief even gave me her cell number and told me to text her if I decide to go in an H is in surgery, which has been reassuring.
Man that would be scary, but it sounds like you are in good hands. I love that they gave you a Doppler to take home, that is great OB and hospital.

  • @srscott3 Sorry you're on bed rest! I'm glad all is okay and you have all the resources from your H working at the hospital. Also you can send me your ideas for nurseries any time you want because I think we have similar style preferences.
  • I'm squeezing into my bras because as part of the tiny titty club, it brings me so much joy to overfill my cups!!!!! I wish it would last forever! LOL
This!  I all honesty though, it really just gets me to actually fill the cups.  I've never overflowed them even at an A.

  • @srscott3 I remember you posting about the brownish spotting, but somehow missed that it had worsened!  Sending prayers and calming thoughts your way!!!

With the chase yesterday that ended near my house- they caught the driver but his buddy fled into "the woods" which I don't really understand because the woods they're talking about were on the other side of a big open field (directly across from my MIL's house).  They said they had the perimeter locked down but gave up the search after about 2 hours.  Sometime last night someone spotted and shot him.  They aren't reporting the circumstances yet, but he's no longer on the loose.

  • @srscott3 keep us updated! I hope they find the cause soon but I'm glad you and baby are doing well still

@srscott3 and @peachesnbean my 2nd tri bleeding/cramping/contracting was a mystery as well, but baby is perfectly fine and kicking away :) bedrest and pelvic rest sure seemed to do the truck I think

ETA- It did the trick, not the truck
  • I'm glad to hear it's getting a little better @srscott3 and that you have such easy access to ease your mind. Hope you continue on the "getting better" trend!
  • @srscott3 that is so scary. I'm glad the baby is doing ok. I hope this gets resolved soon!

  • @srscott3 so sorry to hear about the bleeding/bed rest!
  • @srsscott3  Oh, that sounds stressful.  I'm so glad you have the doppler and will be able to reach your husband quickly if you need to hear his voice or have his help.
  • @srscott3 if I was on bed rest AND I had a doppler....you know what I'd be doing ALLLLL freaking day.

  • Thank you all!

@yogadevil I'm glad to hear you're doing well now! And. Thank you for the reassurance :)

@afkash I'm doing my best not to go crazy with it, but even just knowing I have one helps a lot :p
