Well, the families entertained each other, and it went ok! Mom did make a big show of, your Granny forgot, she was so bummed she couldn't make it! (You invited her without asking me, so I think I'll live!) But otherwise it was uneventful.
We tried for about 5 straight minutes to get HIM to cooperate, but I had to get up and walk around for a minute, so he changed positions and literally the whole room cheered when she said, "It's a boy!"
Thanks! One thing I liked a lot about the elective scan is that we got to just sit and watch him wiggle and hiccup and it was so adorable! He moved at one point and was sitting cross legged, he had his hands up by his face and would periodically bat them around (we got a GREAT shot of his left hand). I think I would have stayed to watch all day if they'd let me and I didn't have to pee. As soon as we saw him wiggling and happy in there I immediately felt better!
DS was babysat over night so H and I got to sleep in until 11 am. Haven't done that in about 2 years. It was glooooorious.
ETA: hope you had a nice time at the wedding @MommaBean!
Thanks! It was beautiful and the food was fantastic. Paid for that later, though How was yours?
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself! We had a nice time as well. Venue was gorgeous! My only complaint is that the dinner service was much too long. Like almost 5 hours!! The dancing only started around 11:30 pm and so we got one slow dance in and hit the road afterwards. We were exhausted!

Congrats on your boy @WinchesterGirl!! I bet that was amazing to be able to relax and enjoy the ultrasound, and I'm so glad everyone cooperated in the room with you too!
According to my scale, I gained almost 25 lbs at the wedding. I mean I did eat a ton, but something has got to be wrong with it! It's measuring DS correctly though

like just at the wedding? that cake must of been like 90% salt.

Lol right?! Yeah, since Saturday. I told H to weigh in and let me know if it's accurate. Prob going to use the scale in the nurse's office at school tomorrow. But I'm not suddenly puffed up and swollen or anything so it's most likely some kind of fluke and not a medical concern
@MommaBean I was going to make a joke about your baby converting to a denser element but then I realized I both don't remember enough high school science to make it make sense, and that I am too tired to think it through... But something is weird there. Extra heavy sweater? Like, 20 pounds heavier?
@WinchesterGirl yay, welcome to the boy club!! So glad your scan went well. My little one would also not cooperate with the scan at ALL. I'm beginning to think I have a handful in there.
@ohstars no, I look the same/normal. And feel fine besides the usual headache.
@poetryandoceans lol! Nope, topless. I'll see what it says in the AM and if it's still crazy weigh in elsewhere. H is like "that's completely not possible so just stop thinking about it." And he's right, since I'm not all puffed up!
@MommaBean is your scale digital? We have a digital scale and it's the worst! You can get on it, get your weight, scoot the scale over a couple inches across the floor, get back on, and it will give you a totally different weight. DH and I don't trust anything it says, lol.
I didn't realize I posted in the old randoms, Gingersnap told me she's having a girl! Team pink again! Also, looks like she's going to have another stubborn mini DD, she crossed her legs tightly, and Ginger had to drink a soda and walk for 20 mins before she would let them get a peek!

She's not stubborn she's a lady. She didn't know who that US tech was!
Walked out the door, couldn't find my work ID and transponder chip, almost walked back inside, thought of DD pitching a fit to see her mom, said "eff it" and went to work. Flagged down a custodian to let me in my office, logged into work, got out my water bottle....and found my ID card under it. I think I need a lanyard.
Also interviewing babysitters this and next week. I think I was spoiled in Boston - when I put up an ad on care.com, I got applications from nannies and college students. The people who replied here are all still in high school and "can only do after 5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday, unless the month has an R". Or similar crap. Ah well.
Tried sleeping with a body pillow for the first time last night. When I woke up I found I had thrown it across the room in the night, but my hip doesn't hurt anymore, so, win?
H and I had an argument this weekend about the following: 1. Who will be in the room when I deliver. I said, definitely him and *maybe* my mom. 2. Who will be there in the waiting room when I deliver. I said immediate family. 3. Who will be allowed to come visit while I'm in the hospital. I said only immediate family during visiting hours.
He was not happy about any of it. He doesn't understand why I wouldn't want friends coming by while I'm in the hospital. I told him that they can wait two days and come to the house. He just doesn't get it. Am I out of line here?
@imalwaysme79 - I don't really want anyone to visit in the hospital. But, I'm a FTM and maybe I'll change my mind once I'm there. I feel like there is going to be a constant wave of people through our house in the weeks/months following delivery and I'm looking forward to a lot of one on one time with LO. Note: I am the type of person who needs a lot of alone/me time. The idea of being the center of attention for so long is already freaking me out a bit.

I totally get this. I told DH I wanted my mom in the delivery room and maybe my dad, so he called his dad up and invited him to be in the Delivery room as well. He said if my Dad got to be in there, his Dad did too. I promptly informed him that it's not his vagina so it's not his call. We'll see how that goes. His Dad lives an 11 hour drive or a two hour plane ride away so it's not likely he'll make it out for the delivery, but if he does I might just have my mom barricade the door.
He also told his dad that he could stay "as long as he liked" in our house after the baby is born. I wanted a week to just bond with the baby the two of us before we had any over night guests, and honestly don't feel like I should be dealing with a newborn and playing hostess to his Father so we'll see what happens with that.
Personally, I prefer visitors in the hospital over visitors at home. At home I just want to get my shiit together, in the hospital I don't mind as much!
