  • How is everyone else doing?

afm, I'm 8dpo, just trying to stay warm. Eating some spicy foods and some sunflower seeds but nothing too crazy. Did some yoga this morning before painting and didn't realize how badly I needed that! Hope to do some more again tomorrow. As most of us do, I think, I waffle between trying to remain positive and not feeling very hopeful.
  • I know exactly how you feel @rainbowturtles. I am currently attempting one of the meals I saw on that Facebook page Tasty. We shall see if it turns out well. Hah.

  • Nice @Taggarab what is it??? I am only doing "simple meals" this week, I told DH, but I still try to make the simple meals special for him. I used a marinade from Pinterest for the chicken that turned out AWESOME and made a quick cheese sauce for the broccoli, paired with some whole grain & wild rice. It was good!!! Now I'm off to look for something to do with the pork I defrosted...I think it's a loin but not tenderloin...it's from my mom but not labelled lol And pairing that with the organic potatoes I have left. I made oven fries out of them last week with a garlic aioli and that was a big hit so might do that again :) I hope your meal turns out!!!
  • @rainbowturtles Sounds yummy! I'm making chicken burrito bowls. It's pretty easy and will work for DH to take spot work for lunch for a few days too.

  • Oooo that sounds delish! I've been craving burritos but most gluten free wraps suck lol Might have to try that idea!
  • Thank you all for the kind words and support. Beta confirmed the negative. I can't believe I was hoping that maybe the HPT was wrong- well of course it wasn't. I stopped progesterone and estrace and am now just waiting for AF to show up in the next couple of days. This next cycle will be my last medicated cycle and after that we will continue to just try and hope something will work. I've been so upset all day. I had such high hopes that by now we would be successful especially with the meds and IUIs. My EDD is on Monday, and I'm just devastated it's been nothing but disappointment since our loss in February. This is all so hard- and part of me doesn't even want to do the last cycle but I feel like we've come this far we might as well just give it one last shot, but the other half is like so convinced we'll be disappointed. DH said he'll support whatever decision I make. We're just both emotionally drained, and financially even though insurance covers half,  the costs of the monitoring and meds especially with injectables is adding up. My heart is just so heavy today, I feel like it's been a long time since I've been really genuinely happy.  Apologies for the long post, but I figured you ladies would get it.

  • Hugs @roxgibbons and @BitterBetty12... BFNs are the worst ;(

I'm most likely 5 DPO. I was attempting to chart temps this month and I'm hoping my thermometer which is 6+ years old is just not calibrated anymore because temps are all over the place, but I had a + OPK day before I think I O'd so who knows. I'm going to hawaii for the next 5 days so should (hahaha! yeah right!) be able to stay somewhat sane..... so I likely won't be checking in much here. and i've been MIA because work before vaca = insanity!

Finished my whole30 and lost 6 lbs which is nice too! Feels good that maybe my body is doing something right! I can lose weight.

  • I'm ~3dpo today- FF is having a bit of trouble since my temping wasn't the best this holiday weekend. I've kind of been taking it easy on this board lately- sometimes this whole process makes me kind of blue. There's a lady on my bus every morning who's right where I would've been and I just try so hard not to think about it. Been trying to focus my energy on creating things (started a new dungeons and dragons campaign because I'm a massive nerd).

DH knows I temp and lately he's been saying 'I hope you get pregnant this month'. I know he doesn't mean anything by it, but it's kind of been bugging me. It feels like pressure- I can't really control whether anything happens this month, honey.

I know it's just because he's so excited to become a dad so I don't really want to say anything. I got pregnant so quickly the first time I think his expectations are a little skewed. I know my reaction is pretty irrational, but it just kind of makes me feel bad and I'm sort of dreading testing.
  • Big hugs for you today @roxigibbons. I know the defeated feeling you are feeling so well and it sucks.
  • @bitterbetty12 - Im glad you at least had the longer LP!
  • major temp drop today at 11dpo, I didn't even bother testing. Looks like I'm dealing with a shortish LP and a long pre O time. I O'ed CD 19. wtf body get it together! so. frustrating.

  • @brooklyngirl18 I'm sorry about your temp drop. Its nice knowing your cycle but sometimes the temp changes really mess with your emotions.
did your doctor tell you there was an issue with you ovulating that late? My doctor said my O date was absolutely fine (I was CD19 last month and just got +OPK on cd17 this time). So you could be fine there...just trying to help your stress levels...I know how infuriating it can be when your body just won't help you out.

@brooklyngirl18 My OB was not at all concerned with my cycle lengths (and I typically ovulate between CD15 and CD22). And an 11 day LP is still long enough to support implantation. I wouldn't be worried about these stats at all. They sound within the range of normal.

ETA: and CD18 is my average.

Just want to echo was @RiverSong15 and @SoonToBeMommaHowe say. I did a lot of research into this during my last loss as I ovulated on CD 24 or 25 and had geared up to ovulated a week earlier, but did not. From what I read, ovulating before CD 21 is generally the ideal. If your body gears up and does not ovulate, it can signify a problem with meiosis and lead to chromosomal abnormalities. But this isn't always the case- it's a risk factor, but not a cause if that makes sense? If you search these forums (which I have), you will find 100s of women who've had perfectly healthy babies with a late ovulation. You will also find a handful of women who blame their MC on late ovulation (like me). Like all things TTC-related, it's a crapshoot.

Anywsy, I'm so sorry for the temp drop @brooklyngirl18. I hope next cycle is your cycle!

I've never tested before CD30, logically and rationally I know that makes sense but yikes...(as I sit here on CD26 being impatient)
  • Today FF finally moved my crosshairs from CD 13 to CD 15. 6 DPO right now and the crazies are starting to set in. My due date is a week from tomorrow so this is obviously my last chance to get a positive before then. I really want to not stress about it, but that's pretty much impossible.

  • @AnonymousMom do you know how many dpo you are?

@Taggarab ugh that will be me next cycle. Hope you can find some things to distract yourself (and/or vent about the crazies if it helps) and fx for you!

Afm, 10dpo and it was very tempting to test this morning but I managed to avoid. Feeling a little more emotionally stable than yesterday morning but still very soppy lol DH left for work so hoping to get a bit more sleep in, tho I did sleep better last night and finally managed to temp again (hadn't since 6dpo)

  • Good luck @fivetimesnoluck! Fx for you!
