I'm supposed to be cleaning, organizing and finishing/mailing out thank you cards. Instead, I'm over here browsing funny GIFs and thinking about chocolate all while having one brain fart after another. My pregnancy brain is hardcore today.
So I either over did it at sea world yesterday and now by body is angry at me, I'm having some incredibly painfully long BH contractions or I'm actually going into labor. Regardless of which one it is, the pain is real.
Happy birthday @camichael84 !!! Congratulations @618mom22boys !!! I took little Amelia's birth today as my good luck omen for my exam, plus she's got the same name as what we want to call our little girl
Finished the exam guys!! It was tough, but I'm feeling fairly positive about it. I've prepared myself for either a pass/fail so I'm just going to try and relax for now... so intense though.
I've been thinking about you all morning @yellowrose314. I'm glad it's over. Now enjoy the rest of your day with your husband and don't forget to schedule your massage soon!!!!
@PoodleDoodleOoo thanks...it was a rough one. Just the entire day. Work stress is getting to me so much lately. Normally I can handle it and move on but not yesterday! I also think my hormones are kicking into overdrive without reason. I was driving to work today and nearly started crying. For no reason. I almost cried last night because DH is out of town. This is so unlike me. Either way, I will be happy when he's back and we can hopefully relax until baby arrives. (After her nursery is done that is!) thanks again for the message.
Having contractions every 8-10 mins that I doubt will turn into anything but considering this is more then I had with my first I am thrilled to know what they feel like!
Shit gets old quick!!!
Hahaha! This made me LOL. Thanks redmar
I could see that but as a person who didn't have a normal birth with the last one and he issues after gives me hope that things might actually work normal this time
@camichael84 An official Happy Birthday to you! I hope you have a fantastic day!
@yellowrose314 Yay! Your exam is over - keep us posted on the results (though I'm sure you did fine - you seem like a smart cookie!)
@UnwritteN12 I can totally understand why you're apprehensive for Monday. I hope it all goes well and doesn't end in tears - for any of you! And if it does, you will rally and make changes for Tuesday, then Wednesday, etc. It won't be easy (MAD props to you, Mama) but you can do it!
@618mom22boys Amelia is beautiful! Congratulations to you all!
Hitting an afternoon slump and I was trying to remember if I'd had any coffee yet today. Meanwhile, my half drank cup from this morning is right in front of my face. #pregnancybrain
Yeah if I don't recognize the name on Facebook (i know the regulars) I just read it and don't try to figure out who is speaking. Not 100% sold on the big old fb group still
Well aparently between 5am and noon my cervix did nothing. I have a subborn baby! Doctor decided to add a bulb to mechanically open my cervix. Oh boy was that a painful. Now the pressure is crazy and contractions are pretty intense but doctor said it will taken 4-6 hours if it work. 2 hours down so far! Ohhh and nitrous is awesome! If i didnt have that right now i couldn't function at all.

@kosmo86 Loving the updates - though I hope things start progressing faster for you!! Hang in there, I'm sure you're doing great!
In other random news...today I am 38w6d. The same as I was the day DD was born. As of tomorrow, I'll be more pregnant than I've ever been. Which is fine...but so much for second babies coming sooner!
Yea the nitrous is interesting. It is almost like entering another world. You can still feel the pain but you just don't care. Very strange but affective.

You do not give me hope of having this baby at 38w2d like I did with Reese.
@kosmo86 keep up the good work! (I feel like a L&D cheerleader. Go team?)
Good luck with your induction @kosmo86. And hopefully your c-section goes/went well @MojieJo!
Congrats to all the new babies! I have been absolutely horrible at keeping up with those congratulations but I have been reading the birth announcement thread. I was on mobile earlier giving love its but it is hard for me to tell if it worked - it may have actually loved it then took it away. Crazy mobile bump!
Wow! There are a lot of mean girls on here! I don't know what some of you get out of trying to single people out and make a public forum some kind of exclusive "you can't sit with us" thing, but it makes me sad for you. For everyone's information I have been on this board from the very beginning. Due to the fact that I have suffered a heartbreaking loss in the past, I have opted to sit back and participate selectively throughout the months. I have read your stories, liked your posts and joined in when I felt compelled. I find that this board is full of people who basically echo the exact same sentiments as the posters before them, and I have often not wanted to add on to the repetitive nature of many of those posts. I have celebrated your births and empathized with your frustrations. I never would have thought my initiating a HDBD post would be taken the way it has. Super disappointing. I hope you will teach your children to be more inclusive to others who may be a little more shy about jumping in and sharing with a group than some of you are being. Good luck to you all. Despite the fact that some of you obviously have no interest in sharing in my story and my joy- I truly wish you all the best!
@PSUBecky23 Sorry for any hope I've stolen from you... If it makes you feel any better, I have a theory - with DD, my original due date was 9/15. It was changed to 9/20 after my growth ultrasound. She was born on 9/12 at 38w6d (per the 9/20 due date). BUT if 9/15 was truly the more accurate due date and she was just a peanut...that would have put her at 39w4d at birth...meaning this baby could still come "sooner" than she did as long as he/she is born before next Monday. Haha. It's all irrelevant at this point - but if it gives you some hope back, let's go with that version of the story!
@jessbaldwin14 this has nothing to do with mean girls or not mean girls, it's just all in good fun and we have someone who posts that thread every single week. I'm on here all the time and if I posted it instead of her I'd get flamed too.
You know like when you were in school and would always sit in the same seat even though they weren't assigned? same thing.
@jessbaldwin14 Wait, what? I think the ladies here are super inclusive. You should lurk other boards...S'16 is in no way mean girls. Yes, there are some of us that know eachother a little better by participating a lot but isn't that normal? I think ladies here were just apprehensive about the people popping up so close to September. I don't think that's rude and I think that's a normal sentiment to have. It's a community board, not a post and run board. I'm really not sure what happened to make you feel this way but really, I don't it was anyone's intent to make you feel bad!
Having contractions every 8-10 mins that I doubt will turn into anything but considering this is more then I had with my first I am thrilled to know what they feel like!

I was in no way trying to diss your statement about your contractions. Just the bluntness of @redmar 's statement cracked me up. I wasn't trying to be rude. I'm sorry.

Regarding the FB group - There seems to be a lot more activity from people I recognize, but wouldn't necessarily consider regulars. That's not a bad thing at all, but it does make it feel like a different group, with a few folks I know sprinkled in. It's almost like starting over, with a few friends in tow, if that makes sense!
I actually prefer the bump format - I think it's easier to follow - the only thing I like better about Facebook is that it is easier to access via mobile, which will be nice once ALL the babies are here.
@jabreen - I don't think there is much threat where I am but they have to make us shelter. I just feel for the people at daycare - it can't be fun sheltering with a bunch of toddlers. Last time there was a warning we asked them what they do. Each class has an assigned storage closet or bathroom they shelter in. The teachers usually grab a box of cookies or crackers and they give the kids snacks and read to them to keep them calm.
@marajay6 Glad it's likely nothing. That's how ours usually go, too, which is good in that we're over-prepared, but it always seems like the room that's most secure is also the one with the least air conditioning... I can't imagine how the teachers of littles do it! I had enough trouble with my 16-18 year old students, and at least they all had phones!
Re: August Randoms!!!
Good luck today @MojieJo @kosmo86 and I hope @Megan324! Hope to see lots of babies over the next 24 hrs.
@618mom22boys Amelia is beautiful! Love her name and that hat.
Re HDBD thread. I hope @lovelylauren86 comes on soon to post the thread and then everyone responds to that one. So many SS lately...
