I hope everyone that is in your tww isn't going crazy! I can't believe i still have a whole week still before I test.

So what's the deal with pineapple?? I love pineapple, but have never heard of reading it in regards to IF.

Hey ya'll. Just checking in! I'm still in the midst of my TWW. My hubby and I are in St. Louis visiting with family, so I am definitely distracted which is helpful. I felt a tiny bit crampy 2 days ago and having some break outs, plus I've been kind of a bitch, normal PMS stuff.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I also did the pineapple core... from what the internet says (and not supported by actual science)... it contains bromelain which is an anti-inflammatory and helps during implantation.

@Bai-by2016 I am similar to you in that I had 3 follies last cycle and only 1 this cycle so I'm kind of like "meh" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, makes my already tiny chances feel even more microscopic. Oh well.

@Hopeful_mom and @JAH87 I'm sorry too about the BFN and hope you are coping okay!

@Ttcnumber2withhypo congrats on your IUI! Fingers crossed for a distraction filled TWW that flies by for you!!

@Isthisthereallife how are you doing? what are you up to this weekend?

@Msjen11 good luck at your appointment today! I hope everything goes well. Don't stress too much, even if you have to go to work after IUI. Just do what you think is best for you. For my job, there's no way I could take a couple hours off to do the IUI then go back to work, so by default I always make sure my IUI is on a day off. But really I don't think bedrest or taking it easy increases your chances of conception. People (without infertility...) get pregnant all the time without doing bedrest (ughhh).

@Msjen11 good luck hope everything goes smoothly, u still have time for the other follie to catch up. Depending on your job you can go to work after. I did, yes I'm not pregnant BUT I don't think that had anything to do with it. Ordered my meds from freedom pharmacy.

@Bai-by2016 thx for the info! Ur hubby is a super champ, way to go!! Now mine is sick which is frustrating! Hoping it won't effects his count but doing ivf I don't think he can be sick. Don't know why nothing can ever go smoothly!!

Thanks @Hopeful_mom and @Bai-by2016 We are hoping that with all those follies, it will increase the chances for at least 1 to implant!

My IUI went well on Saturday. A lot more cramping than the last time around but overall it went quickly. The PIO shots have been going OK so far.. DH is awesome at giving them. I haven't noticed any serious pain or soreness yet, so hopefully it stays that way!

Ugh, BFN. AF showed up yesterday with a vengeance. I guess on the good end I haven't had to wait for a BETA yet, AF always gives me the news a couple days ahead of the scheduled BETA.

As an aside, does anyone else have horror show periods after Clomid? I've always had super heavy periods, but holy crap, these are killers with the clots and what feels like gallons of dark blood, and the cramps are out of hand. I assume it's normal, but it's rough, man.

@Sasha29 I am so sorry to hear about the BFN!
I felt the same way last cycle. It was my first round of clomid & AF has never been so horrible for me. I experienced all of what your saying. It was horrible. And longer too!

Ive also been on progesterone too, so I dont know if that has any effect on AF...

Im on femara this cycle, so we will see if its any different.

@kristynelson13 Thanks! I'm hoping third time's the charm but trying not to get my hopes up. I feel like IVF is really where we are going to need to go but we will cross that bridge when it comes. I'm going to be focusing on planning a vacation for DH and I over the TWW!

@kristynelson13 My tww has been so long..... Is it Saturday yet? It doesn't help that I've been overly emotional the past 2 days and my DH has no idea what he should say or do.... (Poor Guy) I just keep telling myself that this time next week I'll be at the beach. I think that's the only thing making me not go crazy lol.

@Sasha29 I'm so sorry for the BFN. Hugs! I've never been on clomid, but I've been on Femara and the 1st few cycles I was on my period was it was wonderful. I was going lighter and shorter, but the last 3 cycles I was on Femara It was horrible. I thought I was dying. I hope you feel better and I've found that a bottle of Wine or a pitcher of Margaritas has always helped!

Due to DH having an upset stomach - we had to cancel our IUI today. His sperm count came to be 37 million (biggest number we've ever had), but 0 motility as the solution he drinks before hand didn't absorb. Onto the September board.

I got a positive opk Saturday and triggered Ovidrel at night. I just did another test out of curiosity and it is still positive, does anyone know why? Now I'm worried I did my IUIs today and yesterday.

I hope everyone is doing well! I haven't checked in since the beginning of August. We had to put our elderly kitty to sleep on the 14th and our main focus the days before it happened was taking care of him and hoping he might bounce back. Unfortunately he declined fairly rapidly, but did go peacefully surrounded by both of us and even gave us some comforting purrs at the end. We had been treating him for intestinal cancer for a good 22 months, and we are trying to remember to be thankful for that extra time we had and all the great memories he brought us. We're still mourning his loss and despite having two other furrbabies at the house it still feels strange and empty without him

We did manage to get our IUI done the morning of the 13th. I had one good follicle at 23mm and my lining looked great (so femara definitely worked better for me than clomid), so fingers crossed. DH's count was also the best it's been. My beta is scheduled for 8/29, but I'll probably test this Friday or Sat. I'm not feeling all that hopeful, but I also haven't had much time to focus on it with everything else going on.

@madasm0530, @Sasha29, @JAH87, @Hopeful_mom, @Isthisthereallife (and anyone else I may have missed) So sorry to hear about the BFNs and cancelled IUI

Hi All,
I am a bit of limbo I suppose. I went in for my CD 15 US (I don't do earlier monitoring) after taking my usual dose of Let 5mg CD 3-7. AND my Ovaries are filled with follies...but all less than 9 in size.

This is where it gets fun. My dr is out on maternity leave till Oct so all these other docs are sorta filling in. So far it has been odd but not a problem. Today I get my US and the Ultrasound tech that I have had for over a year (and whom is super nice) comes back in and says Dr says come back in 2 days for another US. Which ok...but usually they would say something more about it being CD 15 and not having mature follies...but oh well. Then I miss a call from a "new" dr...get the email message when I get home. She thought I was on CD12...and she thought for some reason I was only taking Letrozole 2.5mg.
Which is curious.

Anyways so she was suggesting that I take progesterone to bring my period on because I wouldn't ovulate this cycle (which I don't do naturally with out the trigger anyway)...and then take the updoseage of 5mg (which I am already taking) to get some mature follies and then come back on CD 12 to for a US (which I never have big enough follies by CD 12).

so yeah...anyways waiting on hearing what I should really be doing now.

And no real plans for me for the TWW.. I've been working two jobs and that has been so helpful in keeping my mind busy but I think I'll start really trying to plan out a vacation here soon.. that should help a bunch!

Hello ladies! I just got back from my ovulation check. I definitely ovulated! Oh boy did I ovulate. Two on the right, and one on the left. I am just praying that one of them sticks. I am still feeling very confident and I hope there is a reason to be this confident!

So I talked to my fill in Dr last night. She said they would only want to go for 4 IUI's. So that was interesting as my usual Dr hinted at 6. Also she suggested we start considering IVF - vrs starting injectables and doing IUI. But that injectables might be an option too. She also mentioned me going to clomid because they can up the dose but can do it in little amounts (whatever that means). But for this cycle she is giving Femera 5mg for 5 more days and doing another US on Monday to see how they look. So more waiting.

I guess the whole you are more fertile after a loss isn't true for me.

GTKU Questions
1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)?
I'm not on facebook at the moment, I kept seeing triggers on there and feeling envious or upset. Now that I've been off it a while I don't miss it much

I may reactivate it eventually, but not sure. I think I'd prefer to just let people know in person or through word of mouth instead of making a facebook announcement.

2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street)
Our families on both sides know, as well as some friends. We only occasionally give updates though, and overall people have been respectful.

3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be?
Some sort of arts class, but I'm not sure what. I took several fine arts classes in college since I was a design major, so a continuation of that could be fun, but maybe I'd like to learn something new instead...

4. What is your favorite food?
Sushi

5.What is the best date you have ever been on?
Before we were "official" DH and I went to a contemporary art show and had a lot of fun. His sweet nature and great sense of humor had me quickly falling for him...the art was cool too

6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)?

@BecauseLove i cant believe how expensive it is! And thats a long drive!
The cost of my IUI's (im including meds)are about $1k, give or take a hundred.
I think my doctor plans on giving the IUI 3 tries & then one IVF.

That should just about max out my insurance. They give us a 15k lifetime amount.

Im really hoping we dont have to move to IVF & I hope you dont either! FX that August will be a lucky month.
