Re: August IUI

  • @Bai-by2016 @lady_grey @skysong113 @kristynelson13 Sounds like you ladies have some fun things planned. Enjoy, have some much fun ladies!

Thank you, @lady_grey for the well wishes. It was really hard but I've bounced back. I know exactly what you mean about your heartbreaking. I'm so sorry you've been through that before.

We'll still continue to work on the house this weekend but I'm pretty excited to go to a party tomorrow. It's been a while since we got out. I don't even want to tell you what my toes look like! lol

  • Thank you ladies! This board and this thread has been an absolute God send. I don't know what I would do without you ladies!! And I am going to start following stories more because I want to remember names and stories!
  • @Ttcnumber2withhypo and @kristynelson13  So excited about both of your follicle scans.  Such good news!

It was so fun getting to know everyone by reading their answers to the questions!

I'm feeling pretty nervous tonight.  I was supposed to do an OPK every morning this week and go in for a follicle scan the day I got a positive but I never got one so I have a u/s and bloodwork scheduled for tomorrow morning (CD 15). I'm  scared that the letrozole didn't do anything or that I ovulated already and we missed it.  Trying to not think about it and just wait to see tomorrow morning.

  • kaityh1 thanks for getting the tracker started hoping i can post a BFP soon :)

Msjen11 sorry you find yourself here and for your loss!  Usually they tell you to take clomid the same time everyday between 7-9pm

JAH87 i keep overthinking everything myself BUT the last couple of days i'm just so tired that i'm really not feeling much of anything more then that, except i feel like i gained 10lbs, and we certainly know it doesn't hit us that quickly so who know.  I keep saying ok girls lets be implanting now....just trying to stay positive!  The fact that u mentioned you're already having nausea that could be a great sign!!  Here's hoping!!

Bababatty glad the clomid is going well and not giving u too many sideeffects.  I"m with you 100% its so rare.  I was disappointed I didn't have more follies this cycle.  The one cycle i had 3 mature great looking ones my IUI was cancelled an emergency and death in the family all happened at the same time....talk about timing :(

Ttcnumber2withhypo hoping your appt went well today!!

liahay welcome to the group hope both of your follies mature and r ready to go for IUI #2!!  I've also been enjoying too much ice cream in this heat...well yogurt so i can have more ;)

Bai-by2016 i am so very sorry to hear about your loss and you find yourself back here.  Glad your body is healed and you're able to try again!  Sounds like you have some promising follies GOOD LUCK with your IUI tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly and you have the same success!! I'm with you and just need and want more and more sleep!!

kristynelson13 wow sounds like you have an amazing weekend planned thats great!!  May you enjoy and everything go according to plan ;)  I'm also with you on losing weight but I too feel like all i'm doing is gaining with no bun in the oven.  Its hard as they say not to start anything NEW when TTC however no one intended for it to take this long either  :s And i'm a googling queen as well but work has been so crazy i had to calm down a bit.

@becauselove great questions...funny i was thinking the same thing that u asked bai-by2016 too...can i say great minds think a like ;)  LMAO on googling, been there done that wasn't sure what was what...stopped that real quick ;)

lady_grey sounds like you have a lovely weekend ahead - remember to apply that sunblock!!!

Isthisthereallife enjoy ur pedi and treat yourself and relax - thats important too!

Katkirch good luck tomorrow morning, dont be nervous my first OPK came back positive cd/15/16.  just stay calm and hopefully you'l get some good news!!

will be back with my answers later, first wanted to catch up with everyone that i could!!  happy friday everyone!!  still at work and need to get the hell outta here!!

  • @lady_grey hoping your TWW flies by and you get your BFP!

@Isthisthereallife have fun at your party!

@kristynelson13  Congrats on the follie growth -- it's nice when you don't have to wait to long for them to grow!  Have a ton of fun at the music festival this weekend... sounds like a good time!

@Ttcnumber2withhypo Congrats on your follie growth too!  And I'm so glad you can move forward without the trigger shot! Phew!

@Katkirch I hope your scan goes well in the morning!!

    As for me...

I had a scan this morning and I have one follicle at almost 16... the others are smaller, although he didn't measure them all.  I am hoping at least one more will have a mini growth spurt and mature in time -- but it doesn't seem likely.  I was a little bummed this morning as I thought this cycle we would have a shot with 2 or 3 follicles.  Oh well.

My RE wants me to come in tomorrow morning for another scan to determine if we should trigger tomorrow for a Monday IUI or Sunday for a Tuesday IUI (that means I get to have my IUI before my trip! Yay!).  Well, that's if we can fix my next mini-crisis... The bulk of my day was spent in full on stress mode dealing with insurance (who approved my IUI cycle but failed to approve my Ovidrel. ugh.) and then a rush to get my trigger shot ordered.  Finally at 5:30 i was told my ovidrel would be in hand tomorrow.... only to find out later (once the pharmacy was closed) that they didn't flag it for Saturday Delivery and FedEx has no options for me to get the package before Monday.  I was able to get in touch with someone at the Pharmacy who said they will make it right and get me my shot tomorrow... I just don't know how they are going to accomplish that.  I'm trying not to stress about it and trust that it'll work out... but, that's not easy.  My DH is remaining calm and comforting.... I don't know how he does that!

Anyway, sorry for the long story... but thanks for allowing me to vent.  This forum is really helpful.

I got to visit my month old nephew today and we are hoping for a beach day on Sunday if the weather cooperates... and if everything gets sorted for my IUI I will count it a good weekend!

Hope you girls all have fun this weekend!

  • Hi! I had my 1st IUI Monday. It went well. There were two follies that looked good at last check and then I took my trigger shot Saturday night. I feel confident that I ovulated (for the first time ever!) The Dr. Said I could test not this Monday but the next.
@madasm0530 I've been surviving the wait ok. We went to the beach immediately after the procedure for a mini-vacay and it helped to take my mind off everything. I enjoyed spending time with my family there. Now I'm back home and I've been reading a lot and trying to stay busy. Next week I start my internship for my Master's, so that might help occupy my mind!

  • Thank you @lady_grey!

Since the board is quiet, here is a question!

Is anyone else stopping at IUI (will not be doing IVF)? And secondly, do you get jealous of the ladies on the IVF board who seem to get a ton of bfp?

The reason I ask is because I have been going back through older post and seeing a ton of happy posts about IVF successes but the IUI boards have very few. It was enough to get me a little discouraged.

@Ttcnumber2withhypo we are currently in the 2ww with our first iui. I'm so nervous bc the others on my boards who have done iui who have already tested got BFN's and 11 people who did who did FET got BFP. Although I'm happy for the people who did get BFP, I'm sad bc I want that to be me. I test this Thursday 8/18 and currently I feel nothing. The day of I was really tired and slept, since 1pdiui I've been cramping and feeling bloated like crazy. For the last week I've had A low 99.4ish fever and hot flashes. I've had a few dreams. I feel like I'm holding on to something that I'm not gonna get. DH and I have talked and if iui doesn't work then we will move forward with ivf. My RE wants us to do 3 iui before moving forward though. I have pcos and don't have periods on my own so I have to take progesterone for 10days each month to force it then wait for my period to happen and then do the meds and then iui then 2ww. So with all the waiting we end up only being able to do an iui every other month.
  • @Ttcnumber2withhypo that is a great shirt hope she gets to wear it soon!!  I wish I could stop at IUI and get my BFP this month!! like @jah87 i'm really not feeling any different and this heat isn't helping at all!!  I did have cramping earlier but now think that could be AF - really hoping its not.  Technically i'm suppose to wait to test till thursday hoping AF wont show and I can!!  Because we do the trigger shot which helps with ov, hoping AF does stay away till at least then.  As I am going for my orientation to IVF on tuesday as back up.  IUI does have some success rate, which my dr does keep reminding me of BUT Im not getting any younger and have low amh so unfortunately I may have to go with IVF, I"m just way concerned what if that doesn't work....

Hope everyone is staying cool out there, at least today i'm working in AC, yesterday i was not...no good!!

We will be stopping with IUI :( for a number of reasons, IVF isn't an option for us, so I get anxious to see so many women who go through several IUI's unsuccessfully.

  • Hey @Ttcnumber2withhypo to answer your question we do plan to go to ivf if we have to.  It's not ideal and I have some personal qualms with it but I've accepted that this might be my only way to having a biological child.  My insurance thankfully covers 2 cycles of ivf but I have to do 6 medicated cycles/ IUI first.  So this month is our 5th IUI.  We have unexplained infertility.  We are hopeful that we get our BFP and won't have to do ivf!  But on the other hand it seems so awesome with like a 50% chance you'll get a BFP.  So much better than waiting month after month!!!   What are your thoughts/concerns?
  • @lady_grey My DH and I have decided we didn't want to do IVF. Although we have great insurance that will cover lots of the procedure but I am afraid a lot of the medicines won't be and we just can't take on finicial responsibility. So we will be doing three rounds of IUI and that's it. I guess I am scared (terrified) that if this doesn'the work, that's it, it is over.

I want to be confident and that it will definitely work, but seeing so many bfns in the IUI threads just has me so worried.

@ReesaAnne16 I feel the exact same way!

@Hopeful_mom I keep telling myself there is up to a 20% chance. And I still ovulate well. My DH has a low sperm count so I hope this will be the solution we need.

@JAH87 good luck!! I hope you get that bfp! You are describing exactly what I was thinking. I am so happy for everyone's bfp but seeing the bfns with the IUI is discouraging.
  • Had an appointment yesterday and they asked us to come back again today. I had 4 mature follicles (17, 21, 22 and 28) plus 3 other smaller ones 11 and under. Doctor wanted us to trigger tonight but after much deliberation and prayer, we've decided to cancel the trigger and IUI this month. We don't feel good about the possibility of quadruplets even though we know the probability is super low. It was such a had decision to make because it means more waiting and we know the chances of pregnancy are higher with multiple mature follicles. It feels so confusing to my heart to say no because of the possibility of multiples when we've been trying for so long for 1 and nothing happens.

@Hopeful_mom  @JAH87 excited to hear your test results on Thursday!  Hoping for BFPs for both of you!

  • @Katkirch sorry you had to cancel. I'm not sure if be able to do that. Then again anything over 3 makes me worried. I only had 1 follie but idk how big it was. I'm new to this and don't know what to ask during these appointments. Hopefully next month will be better. im loosing some hope but happy I'm closer to my test date. I just want an answer either way.
  • @jah87 good luck in the coming days!

That really sounds difficult and I'm so sorry this happened to you this cycle, @Katkirch
  • I LOVE my RE!! When he heard I can't afford the hcg, he gave me one for free so that I could do the trigger shot! He really is a wonderful man.

So, I still have three follies, but only one is mature. On my right I have a 21 and 15.5. On my left I have a 14. Do you think I would still release two? Also, my lining got slightly smaller, from 9.5 to 8.5, is that normal? He didn'the seem too concerned about it.

The nurse said I will probably trigger tonight and come in to do IUI tomorrow and Wednesday. I am so excited!!! I am staying positive that this will be it!!
  • @ttcnumber2withhypo, Good luck!!! Sending you lots of baby dust!! That was really nice of of your RE!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Good luck to everyone who's triggering/IUI this week? Who's up on deck?

How are our TWW girls doing?

There have been so many people posting I'm having a hard time keeping up! As for DH and I, 3 days worth of clomid and I'm feeling the crazies, the hot flashes, and ALL the emotions. Doing Gonal-F tonight and tomorrow and maybe IUI on Friday. We'll see how the follies do.

  • I had such a hard time keeping up with everyone too.. so forgive me for not tagging everyone :)

So I had an ultrasound/bloodwork on Friday that showed 13 & 17 follie.
My RE called and said that they wanted me to come back in on Saturday for another check, but unfortunately I couldnt, so I hoped and prayed today would not be too late. We did do time intercourse yesterday, hoping that we would hit it, just in case we couldnt do IUI.

Today I went in for blood work/ US and the US showed the lining grew to 8.5. My follies were at 20, 16, & now I have a third one at 13.5. The monitoring dr seemed to think that I was in good shape & hadnt ovulated yet.  (ive always ovulated on my own, just late)

So, I wait to hear back from my nurse this afternoon.  So we will either trigger tonight & IUI Wed. Or no trigger at all and IUI tomorrow. Or nothing at all.. ahhhhh. Fingers crossed that we got lucky and are going to hit it right on time

@Katkirch Im sorry you had to cancel, but I can understand not wanting to take that chance.

@Isthisthereallife good luck with your follie check. And dont let that the clomid crazies bring you down ;)

To all of you in TWW, Fx & lots of baby dust @Ttcnumber2withhypo Hopeful_mom

  • kristynelson13 That is awesome that you could work from home once you had a kiddo at least some of the time. Awesome about the mature follies! :) FX that you get to trigger and IUI on Wed!

Isthisthereallife What kind of flooring are you doing in your house? Are you doing an alternative trip instead of DR? Glad to have gotten the GTKY questions started. Someone should ask some new questions for this week. :) Good distraction and good to know everyone better too! :) Yeah about IUI on Friday. Keep us updated on the follies!

skysong113 Welcome! That is cool that your DH is going back to school! Fun that you went to the beach for a get away...is it far from where you live? That is awesome to get 8 weeks paid leave. :)

liahay Welcome! Thanks! Were hopeful we will have even better luck this month! :) Hows the Met treating you?  I hear ya about the awesomeness of googling discharge lol So intense about getting the trigger...did everything get worked out?

Please add yourself to our tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QQp8ysFSNV5kkJvX56AJ1CsH-ImWal4sq9lNP1DYjBM/edit#gid=0

JAH87 I hear ya! I almost always have to take Progesterone unless sometimes when I do the trigger it sets things in motion for a more natural AF. 2 cycles ago I even had to take Estrogen and then progesterone creating the longest cycle ever...lol well not really but it was 81 days or something like that. :)
Yeah with out the trigger shot I wouldn't ovulate on my own so I hear ya...it is all so strange.

Katkirch I hope your first days back at work are going good. That is awesome that you went to Israel during the summer break! I can see why timing could be so important about getting KU'd with job. Ps. I also have a google addiction. Even re reading posts or articles I have read before.  Awesome about the mature follies! You got a bunch and a big beast in there too! But I can understand being nervous about multiples...at least you know your responding well to the meds!

ReesaAnne16 Wowza...not sure where you live but to say its too hot in Dec to plant a garden is so curious to me...we have snow and 0- temps in Nov and Dec and even sometimes in Oct. We are likely to do a early winter and a late winter trip this year and at least 1 of them we had been talking about doing in FL...and are now deciding against it. We are now looking at Hilton Head SC as a possible late winter (April) vacation. That is awesome that you can take whatever time you want for leave.

jwg9101 I am sorry to hear your out for a bit. I am so happy though that your insurance is covering IVF (I could only dream of such a thing). I am sure you will have an adorable sticky bean in no time! Best wishes to you!

Msjen11 Welcome! Sounds like your jumping right into things. Congrats on starting graduate school! Uffda...I remember that time in my life. Your days will fly by! I am sorry to hear about your MC. Interesting about living in FL during the Zika stuff. Are they suggesting anything besides the norm to avoid getting a bite? We have vacationed a fair share in FL over the years and I don't have any memory of ever getting a bug bite.

kaityh1 I am all about some vaca! We are considering Hilton Head SC for a late winter trip as it seems to be fairly safe at this point regarding Zika. We had been considering FL or Galveston because my SIL is due in Oct and they wanted kid friendly places in the states...but with Zika I think we will avoid both of those spots. We didn't go on a Mexico trip last year due to Zika and gosh...I am craving it. Lounging on a beach..eating yummy food, and just relaxing. Let me know if you pick any fun spots. You could always check out CA (Napa) before getting KU'd...we had a blast there going to winerys in Oct a few Autums ago.

Bai-by2016 I agree being able to jump right back into TTC has really helped. I would have been super frustrated had we had our loss and then had to keep waiting. You are one tough cookie! Looks like your on the tracker. :) I hope you get to the pool a few more times at least this summer. :)

lady_grey Thanks! :) I think it helps that I was able to jump back into TTC. That is awesome about Paris and Amsterdam! We were in Amsterdam in April and had a lovely time! I am sorry though to hear you won't get to go on your medical mission trip! I hope your TWW is going well! I think a good sign about your trip to the pool! How was the weekend at the shore?

clt2pwm11 Welcome! Congrats on your IUI! FX for you. Glad your finding some good distraction for your TWW.

ttcnumber2withhypo Is anyone else stopping at IUI (will not be doing IVF)? We are undecided about what our moves will be if IUI doesn't work. We are willing to consider IVF but not sold that we will be doing it. And secondly, do you get jealous of the ladies on the IVF board who seem to get a ton of bfp? I don't spend any time on the IVF board so no feelings about it at all. I am sure I would have more of a chance with IVF to get a BFP so I guess I also am not surprised that they have more BFP's on their board-glad they are even...as that is really what they are paying for. What I do wish is that IVF was covered by insurance...or that my IUI's or any of my fertility things were covered. lol Or that I get a BFP on these awesome IUI's :)

Just finished my Femera/Letrozole 5mg prepping for the IUI #3. Hoping that next Monday when I go in for my US that we will have an awesome mature follie!

I had a super busy weekend working the whole time. Went to bed early last night...crashed out. Now back to work again. :) We have family coming into town this weekend so that should be fun-and a good distraction!

So we have this big greenhouse my DH built that the tomatoes were growing out of they were getting so big...so he took the greenhouse down and then we had a huge storm...ripping the tomato lines out...and all the tomato plants fell over. Hoping that all the trauma to the plants doesn't stop me from getting a lot of tomatoes to make pasta sauce out of this year.

I can't believe how fast summer is going!

PS. I have also been googling about hyper fertility after CP. Not sure if its real but it is my google obsession right now.

    GTKU Questions
    1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)?

    2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street)

    3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be?

    4. What is your favorite food?

5.What is the best date you have ever been on?

    6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)?

Also make sure your updating the tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QQp8ysFSNV5kkJvX56AJ1CsH-ImWal4sq9lNP1DYjBM/edit#gid=0

  • @Isthisthereallife Thanks for the welcome!

    @kristynelson13  Thank You!

    @JAH87  That's where I go also!!

I'm going to be in Myrtle Beach when my 2ww is up. They told me to take a HPT on the 27th, and we'll do the blood test when I get back. This is probably the only time in my life I don't want to be able to drink margaritas while laying on the beach.

  • Update to this morning: Nurse called and said my bloodwork looks good but they want me to wait to trigger until tomorrow night, then do the IUI on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • edited August 2016
Just heard from the nurse . She said the Lh was just starting to surge, so we are doing the trigger tonight and IUI tomorrow morning. I am actually shocked we caught it!

@BecauseLove fx for big follies next week !

  • Woo! Excited for you! :) Do you have the same doc doing your IUI as last time? I have found that different dr.s have different techniques for the IUI. Oh and make sure you go in with a full bladder...there are studies that it has more success.

  • Katkirch I forgot to mention that OPK's rarely if ever give me a Positive even with Femera....which is one of the reasons I get the trigger...the trigger will cause the Ovulation within roughly 36 hours (and the IUI will hopefully get the sperm to the right place at the right time). :)

  • @BecauseLove ohh I have heard that. I will try that this time. I don't think I have the same Doctor performing the IUI.

    Me: 34 DH:47
    Me: low progesterone; LP defect
    TTC #1 since July 2015

    IUI #1 - July  14, 2016 - Clomid 50mg, Ovidrel, Estrogen & Progesterone - 4 follicles- BFN
    IUI #2 - August 16, 2016- Femara 5mg, Ovidrel, Progesterone, 3 follicles- BFP
  • GTKU Questions (batch #2)
    1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)?  I would hope I have the patience to wait to 12 weeks but that is a total unknown. I am always googling cute ways to announce.

    TW:
After the CP I learned that it is really hard to keep the secret from my key people in life. So they will probably know again in the early days. I even gave my DH a onsie that said fishing buddy one night as surprise with the CP. We got a t-rex Grandma shirt and a fishing lur that says Grandpa's on it to give to his parents at some point if we get a BFP again. We will probably wait until after the 1st ultrasound to give them the gifts if we get ku'd.

    2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street)
I have been working to not keep it a secret but have also really shyed (and I am not shy) away from posting anything about it on FB...though tempted at times when things are going crazy with TTC. Or when funny things like my DH giving me a trigger shot in the butt in a target parking lot at night with the car dome lights are on. I have kept more quiet about it because my DH is much more private than I am. If it was just me I would be all over people knowing about it. So if people ask me why we don't have kids yet...I tell them or situations like that. I have shared a few things on FB that are generic (about other peoples loss or struggles) and those that are in the know in our life have commented...which actually made me sorta not want to post as it isn't about getting pity lol.

    3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be?

Anything about food (cooking or eating) or history (that doesn't require homework).

    4. What is your favorite food?
Fruit (really any kind but berries are awesome), Sushi, and Duck Burger with a blueberry sauce.

5.What is the best date you have ever been on?
Lots of crazy wonderful memorable dates before meeting my DH. But our first date is probably the most memorable. We met at 9am (he opened the car door for me) and drove 2 hours in a car to go to sam's club (haha), a movie, and lunch (that was what was planned) but we ended up going to the dunes to sit in the sand and then after the date was suppose to be over and we drove the 2 hours back...he then took me to meet his dog, and when he finally dropped me off at my car at 12:30am...we knew we were meant to be.

    6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)?
Not really. I use to read Dooce.com and mightgirl.com

Also make sure your updating the tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QQp8ysFSNV5kkJvX56AJ1CsH-ImWal4sq9lNP1DYjBM/edit#gid=0

  • kristynelson13  We seemed to have better success when the dr used the IUI syringe thing that had a balloon at the end of the tube to hold the liquid in. She also used water as a lubricant which we didn't use at IUI #1.

I am going to make sure to go in with a full bladder and request the balloon syringe again. It was more of sensation than the other method but seemed to bring us better success.

  • @BecauseLove Thanks!  Met has been okay... definitely bothers my stomach when I start back up after missing a dose (so i try not to do that!) but hasn't been too terrible!  I got my trigger shot! Phew!  They sent it to a local pharmacy (only about a half hour from me) and I was able to pick it up saturday and I triggered last night.  It was horribly stressful... but happy it worked out!  Wishing you beautiful big follies at your next scan! (and hope your tomatoes are okay!)

@OSUBeth61910  Welcome!  FX for a BFP for you this month!

@Ttcnumber2withhypo IVF isn't an option for us... so we are done after IUI.  And our insurance only covers 3 IUIs.  I wouldn't say I'm jealous of the IVF BFPs... because I think everyone who has to be here deserves their BFP!! But... it does make me feel anxious when things don't go right with an IUI... We are just praying it works this time and I am trying very hard to stay positive!  Hope your IUIs go well this week!!

@kristynelson13 we are IUI buddies! I have mine tomorrow morning too... hope it goes well for you!  And FX for us both!

    GTKU Questions
    1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)?
I'm not sure.... we'll definitely wait until we're out of the first trimester to tell anyone outside of our family and very close friends.  I probably won't be able to resist a cute FB or Instagram announcement...

    2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street)
I'm really holding on to the hope that we can genuinely surprise our friends and family when we get our BFP so we have told almost no one... not  even my sisters who I am crazy close to.  We have told one couple who my DH and I are both very close to, their support has been invaluable.  I've also told my boss due to all of the doctor's appointments... fortunately he and his wife have been through IF treatments so he is very understanding.

    3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be?
Art. any kind any type.... painting, drawing, sculpting... even art history.  Anything art and I am there!  Cooking classes are fun too!

    4. What is your favorite food?
    homemade pasta! yum!

5.What is the best date you have ever been on?
hmmm.... my DH and I spent a day at the British Museum in London just before we got engaged.... that was a really awesome date!

    6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)?
not really, sorry! I mostly read random blogs thanks to Pinterest and google... i don't really follow any one regularly.

  • HI everyone!

My update: See i have some to catch back up on already, getting a lil nervous as test day is approaching thought i would start to feel different and i really haven't been :(  Been working everyday so i am exhausted so that cant be a sign and any cramping I feel ust makes me think AF is on the way.  I also have my IVF orientation tomorrow as a just in case this IUI did not work.  I wish my insurance covered ivf they don't so its a very hard decision but I pray i can have a healthy baby of my own!

Katkirch makes me so sad that you cancelled, doesn't g-d just give us what we can handle ;)  The one time I had 3 mature ones I missed the IUI due to a double whammy of a family death and emergency, it still saddens me thinking i missed my chance at having multiples.  The chances really are so low but you also need to do what is best for you.  Too bad we couldn't trade our follies this month we wouldve been all set ;)  Thanks for luck i think i need it.

@Ttcnumber2withhypo  I just want to say that my Dr tells me all the time that many woman do get pregnant through IUI it just sometimes takes time, hang in there.  if I had more time on my hands i would keep doing a few round of this doesn't take...but the frustration is starting to ware on me a bit.  I just want to stay positive so my bean will want to implant and its getting tougher each month... Awesome RE too, love that he is helping the cause, thats what its about!  I feel too many are just in it for the money :s Glad your blood work looks good, wishing you all the best for your IUIs.  That second folli might mature in time and could be loking at at least 2 good mature follies to release...excited for you!!

@lady_grey I'm with you as my fertility is a bit unexplained except for my age, apparently that make everything more difficult  yay me  :D would just love to have a biological child.  It does terrify me that it might not happen.  I never thought that would be the case, ever.

OSUBeth61910 welcome, glad things went well and hoping you get that bfp!!  How many mature follies did you have this cycle?  have a great time on your trip and relax, enjoy the sun!

kristynelson13 Its doesn't sound like you ov and almost have 2 mature follies, way to go, thank ur ovaries...thats what my nurse tells me to do ;)  best of luck to you, hopefully u'll get some good news! Just refreshed my page and i see that you have yay!!!! Awesome news good luck!!

@BecauseLove I was a busy bee working all weekend too.  We need to try and slow down. Hope you still have lots of tomatoes waiting for you!  Now i'm very confused about the full bladder I asked my nurse and she mentioned it doesn't make a difference.  I'm up for trying anything BUT I have to pee every second of the day so not going before the IUI and then first waiting on the table is a lot for me AND then I'm nervous to go right after thinking i'm losing it all.  I know thats not the case ;) so the dr and google say but still, how on earth do u manage?

Isthisthereallife sorry clomid is starting to get the best of u, the hot flashes drive me nuts and in this neat it doesn't help.  Hope ur body is making same nice mature follies for you!!  I've been working a lil too much in my tww and getting a lil anxious.

@jah87 are you going in for a beta or testing at home?  I'm same as you.  I'm nervous and feeling anxious, which just love to see a bfp already!!!

liahay good luck hope you have a successful and smooth IUI tomorrow!!

madasm0530 hows your tww going, are you getting anxious, i am!!  are you testing yourself or having blood work done.

Tried to get to everyone sorry if i missed anyone!

    TKU Questions
    1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)?
Im going to have a very difficult time waiting. Because I've never been pregnant Im going to want to tell the whole world :) .  I probably won't be able to resist a cute FB or Instagram announcement...but Im going to try and stick it out till after the 1st trimester, but I will probably tell those closest to me, when I find out.

    2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street)
We have told a handful of people that we are TTC. Mostly close friends & family, but not social media.

    3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be?
Some sort of art class, Painting, ceramics, stained glass. Come to think of it, I could really use a hobby!

    4. What is your favorite food?
all of the carbs! I have a small addiction... But some of my favorites are pizza, gummi bears & cheeseburgers :) I know, strange combination.

5.What is the best date you have ever been on?
hmmm.... One of my favorites was when DH & I went to Aruba a few years ago for new years & we rented a four wheeler for the day & they gave us a map and said "go have fun, be back in 8 hours". That was a blast and such a fun way to see the island.

    6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)?
Usually its just ones that I stumble upon, mostly cooking related. None, that I follow on a regular basis.
