I've been super busy setting up my classroom, but wanted to update and try to catch up on the board. I went for my post clomid US on CD 9 cause sometimes I ovulate early. R SIDE: 9.7, 8.2, and 6.4. L SIDE 13.7, 7.1, 6.4, 5.6 and 4.6. Estrogen 136. Under follicles they wrote 3-5 not sure why .. Maybe they aren't counting the smaller ones. Hi guys! I've had my first IUI on Monday so trying to keep myself busy. Is everyone waiting for their beta or are you gonna POAS?
GTKU Questions 1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)? I will probably post after first Tri. I have pinterested to death announcements for baby #2.
2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street) I have told a decent number of people. My parents and in laws know. My boss knows. So do multiple close friends. A lot of my friends are invested and ask how it's going. It's good to have people crossing their fingers and thinking of me during all of this.
3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be? I would definitely say sewing. I've wanted to know how to sew for forever. 4. What is your favorite food? I'm super picky so I would say cheese pizza. I love Chicago deep dish.
5.What is the best date you have ever been on? Oh good question. DH and I mainly go out to dinner but sometimes he has been a good sport and watched concerts with me of my favorite band. 6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)? I read dooce still. Daily Garnish. Ask a manager.

@ Msjen11 I live in Delaware. My DH works for the state so we have pretty good coverage but the meds are still pretty steep and we have to pay 25% of any procedure that we do.

@BecauseLove and @Msjen11 I think the cost difference in treatments is really interesting too. My very first IUI was around $4500 because of all the monitoring and bloodwork I had to have. These past two cycles have only been $1500 each since they added the femara.

AFM, I go in for my follicle scan today to see how we did this cycle! If all goes well, IUI will be Saturday!

Today AF is here, its not heavy and normal flow yet but we know the signs and this won't be the outcome I was hoping for. I also just spent over 1k on just meds for IVF and thats with insurance supposedly helping WTH! I'm terrified at the next step but now seems like the time to try it....I hope. I'm still TTC my first and its frightening to think that i can't have a biological child for reason unknown.

@Bai-by2016 thank you for checking on me! The IUIs went well. I did end up getting a trigger shot, my Dr. gave me one when he heard I couldn't afford it. I will have my FX for you! Was your last procedure an IUI or an IVF. I can't remember. Oh and my sinus are still clogged and half of my face is so painful. Really hoping this clears up soon.

Did anyone have really bad cramping with their IUI? Yesterday I had light cramping but today I woke up and my lower stomach was cramping really badly. It was over my ovaries so the RE thinks it's ovulation cramps but they have never been this bad before. Tonight they are a dull ache all over but when I cough it just about kills me!

As much as hearing the word negative today sucked. On the bright side of things AF also showed today so that puts us at doing another iui next month (September) instead of October. Thankful I don't have to take progesterone for 10 days and wait even longer.

@Hopeful_mom I'm not sure when I'll go in for an u/s. They said to call on the first day of my period, which of course I found out AF arrived not even 30minutes after I hung up the phone with them. So I'm going to call tomorrow. It's was light today but it's there. They don't want me to count spotting days though. I'll probably go in tomorrow or Monday for u/s. Last time they just had me start Femara days 3-7 of my cycle and come in for u/s on the 11th day. Sadly I didn't respond to the low dosage I was on and had to take another 5 days of Femara then went back in for another u/s and ended up with just 1 follie. Idk what its size was. I did my trigger shot that night which would have been cycle day number 18th and did the iui on day 20th(08/04/16). I'm assuming they'll just have me start the Femara again on day 3 of my period and bring me in on day 11 again but who knows. They may want me to call so they can set up an u/s to check. I'm going to call tomorrow or just stop in since it's a block up from my job.
FX something works this round or I may move and get a puppy. I need something little in my life that brings joy. Also my mom fosters dogs and she has one now that I really love and sadly can't have him at my current apartment. DH really wants a puppy too and I'm first to admit I'm spoiled.
Also Thank You to everyone for your kind words. I made it through the day with out a tear until I was home alone. Even though I had already convinced myself my result was going to be negative, it's still not what I had wanted to hear. On to the next round.
@Bai-by2016 LOL My DH still doesn't know I did it so its happening again this cycle And I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't come up with a good date! DH and I are home-bodies!
AFM, I had my follicle check yesterday and we have 5 pretty good follies (22, 19, 17, 17, 15). The nurse checked with my RE to see what the next steps were going to be and he decided that since this is my third and I had 3 good ones last time that didn't take, we would move forward. He doesn't expect all of them to take so hopefully the odds are in our favor. I triggered last night (at work, which was super awkward) and we go in early Saturday morning!

thanks for everyone's thought it was a rough night which is expected. I was hoping it took you feel like you did everything right, IUI was textbook and yet here I am. Starting ivf and dealing with way more drugs and shots added to the tears as well.
@jah87 it's crazy how that witch Just pops up on you. No matter how much we prepare ourselves it's still heartbreaking EVERYTIME. Hopefully ull respond better to the meds and get an extra mature follie to help ur chances. Since your only a block away pop in to ur dr so maybe u don't have to make a return trip.

I had my U/S this morning. On the left I have a 16.9 and 13.5, on the right I have a 14. I'm thinking they may have me do another Gonal F and then trigger? Waiting to hear from the nurse (story of my life)!

Uggg... So its CD30 and AF still has not arrived (still BFN). I'm super annoyed, because for the last 12 months that I monitored BBT, I've had an O date between CD13-15 and a cycle of 27-29 days.... And then when I don't chart, O decides to be later, and throw off our schedule.
At this point, my IUI won't be until early September, (the weekend my parents are visiting... oh great.....) So I will probably take myself off the tracker, and wait for IUI Sept to start up. Good luck to all you ladies!!! I will be following to see if the rest of you get your BFPs!!!!

Well, I just left the doctor's office...just had my baseline ultrasound and start letrazole tomorrow! I don't go back until the 29th (for an ultrasound), so sounds like assuming all goes well my IUI will probably be maybe beginning of September?

For your sinuses, have you ever used a Neti Pot? They are a lifesaver for me when I have sinus
issues. I hope you feel better. In regard to your cramps, I had some mild
ones after my first IUI but nothing after the second. Since this is your first time using Ovidrel
your body might be reacting to that.
Bodily functions on medications versus bodily functions naturally are
different. It’s weird.

I know! It’s so hard to stay positive sometimes. I love that you’re talking to your lil
bean! That’s so good! Have you ever tried meditation? I’ve never been into it but read about the
positive impact on stress so figured I’d try it. I found this “guided” meditation on
YouTube. It’s for pregnant women. (I like to assume I’m pregnant until proven
otherwise.) It’s about 10 minutes
long. I take a bath each night and turn
the lights off and do it while I’m sitting in the water. It really helps me decompress the stress from
the day and helps me fall asleep much faster.

his sperm count. Post-wash we had 101
million, 95% motility, grade 3. My hubby
is a champ! LOL! We had even more this cycle at 158 million,
98% motility, grade 3. I only had 1 egg
this time and we had 3 the first time so I don’t know what will happen with
that. FX! LOL!

know I already said how sorry I am about AF but I love that you’re thankful and
appreciative about starting AF on your own.
I usually have to do prog to start a period too and it’s such an
annoying loss of days. When I’m actively
on fertility treatments I tend to have my period on my own. I also had regular periods when I did
acupuncture but had to stop because it was so expensive and I wasn’t getting
pregnant. IRH said for me to consider “Day
1” when I use a full tampon by 8pm. How
many Femara pills are you talking? I would
definitely ask them to start you at a higher dose so you don’t lose more
days. You can always ask them how big
your follie from last time was. I called them yesterday to ask how many follies
I had (and the size) for our first round of IUI. I didn’t record them for some reason. I usually keep track of EV-ERR-EE-THING. LOL! I
definitely understand your desire to move and get a puppy. We “moms-to-be” need something to love and
nurture and puppies need just that. I
say go for it! Negative results, even if
you told yourself a million times that it was going to be negative, can leave
you crumpled on the floor. And honestly,
that’s why I tell myself I’m pregnant instead.
Some people can’t do that and would be much worse off, but for me, it
breaks my heart either way, so it’s whatever.
I even already bought stuff from Etsy to use to announce our pregnancy
to our parents and sisters. I was told
by my doctor that positive energy like that (picturing the baby’s nursery,
buying a cute baby outfit before you’re even pregnant, etc.) are really good
for your mental health. The brain is a
powerful thing. But obviously everyone
is different. I know how you feel. It totally sucks! I’m glad you let yourself cry. I think it’s really important to let yourself
feel what you’re feeling…to embrace it and not try to suppress it.

R SIDE was 9.7, 8.2, and 6.4 and now 7.9,7.2,4.5,4.5,4.4,3.8,3.8. What happens to my two largest?? L SIDE was 13.7, 7.1, 6.4, 5.6 and 4.6 and now 18.1, 7.1, 4.3, 3.8. ,y lining is now 5.8 and E2 215. I have my next appointment Sunday , if I get a positive opk tomorrow it will be for my IUI. Otherwise it will be monitoring again. I'm super stressed because Monday is the first day of school. Do people typically relax afterwards or go back to work? I just feel so guilty but want to do what is best for me and my family.
@Msjen11 I have a prolapsed uterus plus it's titled. I think that might have added to my discomfort. They really had to maneuver a lot to get everything set up to insert the catheter in. All the cramping went away yesterday, thank goodness!!
So how are all you lovely ladies doing today? Anyone feeling positive?? I know it is on 2dpiui but I just feel really confident! I might be setting myself up but I just want to stay positive!

I've been super busy setting up my classroom, but wanted to update and try to catch up on the board. I went for my post clomid US on CD 9 cause sometimes I ovulate early. R SIDE: 9.7, 8.2, and 6.4. L SIDE 13.7, 7.1, 6.4, 5.6 and 4.6. Estrogen 136. Under follicles they wrote 3-5 not sure why .. Maybe they aren't counting the smaller ones. I've been instructed to OPK if I would like and return Friday morning. Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone especially does that completed their IUI!!!

1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)? I will probably post after first Tri. I have pinterested to death announcements for baby #2.
2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street) I have told a decent number of people. My parents and in laws know. My boss knows. So do multiple close friends. A lot of my friends are invested and ask how it's going. It's good to have people crossing their fingers and thinking of me during all of this.
3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be? I would definitely say sewing. I've wanted to know how to sew for forever.
4. What is your favorite food? I'm super picky so I would say cheese pizza. I love Chicago deep dish.
5.What is the best date you have ever been on? Oh good question. DH and I mainly go out to dinner but sometimes he has been a good sport and watched concerts with me of my favorite band.
6. Anyone reading any blogs that they would recommend (could be TTC related but doesn't have to be)? I read dooce still. Daily Garnish. Ask a manager.

@ReesaAnne16 I'm not sure about having drinks with femara.. let me know what you find out. I thought about having a glass of wine last week but decided not to because I was unsure.
@BecauseLove and @Msjen11 I think the cost difference in treatments is really interesting too. My very first IUI was around $4500 because of all the monitoring and bloodwork I had to have. These past two cycles have only been $1500 each since they added the femara.

@ttcnumber2withhypo I totally hear you on the costs. It’s insane! I had IUI on 8/13. I can test on 8/27!!! I wouldn’t worry about your trigger shot. I’m sure it was done perfectly. How did your IUI go? Are your sinuses better today?
@JAH87 I actually live in Independence (KY) but I work downtown Cincinnati. I’ve been going to IRH for about a year. I feel like I live there sometimes. LOL! I’m so sorry it was negative. Ugh. My heart sank when I read that. Sending hugs!!!
@isthisthereallife You’re so sweet to ask! I’m freaking out over the TWW. I love, love, love to symptom spot. I’ve been comparing my IUI this cycle to the last one. (So Day 3 post IUI from May to Day 3 post IUI this time, etc.) I have all kinds of stuff going on but nothing in happening in the boob area, and last time they were so sore I couldn’t lay on my stomach. I only had 1 follicle this time and 3 last time so I am feeling a little pessimistic sometimes but trying really hard to stay positive. The pineapple core was great. It’s a little tougher than the “meat” of the pineapple but still tasty. It’s kind of feels like you’re eating semi-frozen pineapple. Have you heard back from the nurse about your follies and next steps?

1. When you get a BFP how long will you wait to post an announcement on FB (or would you never announce on FB)?
I will wait until we hear the heartbeat for sure.
2. Who have you told that your TTC? (examples: Close Friends, In Laws, Facebook, Siblings, No one, Strangers on the street)
Only close friends and family. Most people know or assume because I’m 36 and LOVE kiddos. Every once in a while I will share with a stranger/acquaintance if it feels appropriate.
3. If you were going to take a class for fun (no credit-but you had to pay for it)...what kind of class would it be?
Hmmm….some kind of class at Home Depot or something. I’m very handy and just bought a house a year ago and want to learn how to do more.
4. What is your favorite food?
Sushi.
5.What is the best date you have ever been on?
That’s tough. I literally can’t come up with anything. The DH and I don’t go on dates very much. We should. LOL!

@Isthisthereallife and @Megzb510 I started doing the pineapple today. I blended the whole section with some ice and lemonade. It was delicious!!
Did anyone have really bad cramping with their IUI? Yesterday I had light cramping but today I woke up and my lower stomach was cramping really badly. It was over my ovaries so the RE thinks it's ovulation cramps but they have never been this bad before. Tonight they are a dull ache all over but when I cough it just about kills me!
You give us all hope having success with an IUI. DO you remember what your sperm count was the first time, I just wonder if that was an issue or not. thanks again!

FX something works this round or I may move and get a puppy. I need something little in my life that brings joy. Also my mom fosters dogs and she has one now that I really love and sadly can't have him at my current apartment. DH really wants a puppy too and I'm first to admit I'm spoiled.
Also Thank You to everyone for your kind words. I made it through the day with out a tear until I was home alone. Even though I had already convinced myself my result was going to be negative, it's still not what I had wanted to hear. On to the next round.

@Ttcnumber2withhypo I have always had some sort of cramping after my IUI's.
AFM, I had my follicle check yesterday and we have 5 pretty good follies (22, 19, 17, 17, 15). The nurse checked with my RE to see what the next steps were going to be and he decided that since this is my third and I had 3 good ones last time that didn't take, we would move forward. He doesn't expect all of them to take so hopefully the odds are in our favor. I triggered last night (at work, which was super awkward) and we go in early Saturday morning!

thanks for everyone's thought it was a rough night which is expected. I was hoping it took you feel like you did everything right, IUI was textbook and yet here I am. Starting ivf and dealing with way more drugs and shots added to the tears as well.
@jah87 it's crazy how that witch Just pops up on you. No matter how much we prepare ourselves it's still heartbreaking EVERYTIME. Hopefully ull respond better to the meds and get an extra mature follie to help ur chances. Since your only a block away pop in to ur dr so maybe u don't have to make a return trip.

I had my U/S this morning. On the left I have a 16.9 and 13.5, on the right I have a 14. I'm thinking they may have me do another Gonal F and then trigger? Waiting to hear from the nurse (story of my life)!

@ttcnumber2withhypo You have an amazing RE! I can’t believe they gave you the shot for free! That’s SOOOO nice! I did IUI. This was our second round. (The first time worked but ended in loss.) For your sinuses, have you ever used a Neti Pot? They are a lifesaver for me when I have sinus issues. I hope you feel better. In regard to your cramps, I had some mild ones after my first IUI but nothing after the second. Since this is your first time using Ovidrel your body might be reacting to that. Bodily functions on medications versus bodily functions naturally are different. It’s weird.
@hopeful_mom I know! It’s so hard to stay positive sometimes. I love that you’re talking to your lil bean! That’s so good! Have you ever tried meditation? I’ve never been into it but read about the positive impact on stress so figured I’d try it. I found this “guided” meditation on YouTube. It’s for pregnant women. (I like to assume I’m pregnant until proven otherwise.) It’s about 10 minutes long. I take a bath each night and turn the lights off and do it while I’m sitting in the water. It really helps me decompress the stress from the day and helps me fall asleep much faster. Good luck on your baseline!

What a nice thing to say about giving you all hope! I am meticulous about keeping track of all of the details, so yes I have his sperm count. Post-wash we had 101 million, 95% motility, grade 3. My hubby is a champ! LOL! We had even more this cycle at 158 million, 98% motility, grade 3. I only had 1 egg this time and we had 3 the first time so I don’t know what will happen with that. FX! LOL!
@JAH87 I know I already said how sorry I am about AF but I love that you’re thankful and appreciative about starting AF on your own. I usually have to do prog to start a period too and it’s such an annoying loss of days. When I’m actively on fertility treatments I tend to have my period on my own. I also had regular periods when I did acupuncture but had to stop because it was so expensive and I wasn’t getting pregnant. IRH said for me to consider “Day 1” when I use a full tampon by 8pm. How many Femara pills are you talking? I would definitely ask them to start you at a higher dose so you don’t lose more days. You can always ask them how big your follie from last time was. I called them yesterday to ask how many follies I had (and the size) for our first round of IUI. I didn’t record them for some reason. I usually keep track of EV-ERR-EE-THING. LOL! I definitely understand your desire to move and get a puppy. We “moms-to-be” need something to love and nurture and puppies need just that. I say go for it! Negative results, even if you told yourself a million times that it was going to be negative, can leave you crumpled on the floor. And honestly, that’s why I tell myself I’m pregnant instead. Some people can’t do that and would be much worse off, but for me, it breaks my heart either way, so it’s whatever. I even already bought stuff from Etsy to use to announce our pregnancy to our parents and sisters. I was told by my doctor that positive energy like that (picturing the baby’s nursery, buying a cute baby outfit before you’re even pregnant, etc.) are really good for your mental health. The brain is a powerful thing. But obviously everyone is different. I know how you feel. It totally sucks! I’m glad you let yourself cry. I think it’s really important to let yourself feel what you’re feeling…to embrace it and not try to suppress it.
