@Megan324 usually when you return target diapers that came with a gift card deal they divide the value of the gift card among the diapers. It states the return value on the original receipt. So let's say for easy math's sake the boxes cost $25 each and it's buy 2, get a $10 gift card, the return value for each box is $20. So, in that case, you effectively walk away with $5 off value for one box, which you wouldn't get otherwise, but it's hardly stealing.
Having my own office means I am on the Bump or other goofing off websites a lot, especially since my workload has been winding down this month. But for PC users - Windows key, D key is a fast way to minimize everything. Very handy.
Ok trying to catch up so sorry if some of these are from a little ways back:
@yellowrose314 having just finished my NCLEX in February I can say I would have enjoyed a massage or something much more after. I was way to stressed out beforehand and would have felt I was just missing time. I read the prioritization, delegation and assignment book by LaCharity and thought it was the most helpful because the questions were actually like what I saw on the NCLEX. Good luck on your exam!!! Oh and Happy birthday!!!
@Bibliobebe the only time I have thyroid problems is during pregnancy. Mine has been out of whack this entire pregnancy. I'm not so worried about afterward though and don't think I'll bother getting it checked again unless there seems to be a reason.
@Sarafuss hopefully they make a decision soon. I would think with your blood pressure readings they'd be leaning toward going ahead to induce. Keep us informed and rest up!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY @yellowrose314 !!!! I am super jealous of your preg massage, that sounds awesome.
@PSUBecky23 glad your LO is moving around today even if it's messing with your productivity
@KimmySchmidt We use Eco88 for rugs, I think it's similar to an OxyClean product but for pet related messes it works way better for us. If you get it on your hands it burns like hellfire. That's how you know it works.
My random is that TB seems to have changed their website layout and it stresses me out. I fear change. I have spent the day "work nesting" and handing off my cases/ TCB. I am hoping this energy is a signifier there may be a light at the end of this pregnancy tunnel (which sounds like a great euphemism for a vagina) sooner than a month from now. Hoping.
Regarding bumping at work. My computer screen is easily visible from my bosses office all. day. long. I used to only bump when her door was closed, but as time went on, I became quite a but more relaxed. Work still gets done (usually) and she hasn't said anything so...
I finally bought some nb diapers, pads, travel toiletries etc for the hospital bag. After the munchkins go to bed, I'm going to organize everything and pack everyone's bags. And clean my house. I have a pack of soothers and breast pads left to buy.
Speaking of soothers, do you think I would be safe to assume that the kind my DD2 took would be the same kind that this baby would take to? My older two never had soothers.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
Happy birthday @yellowrose314! I would kill for another prenatal massage right now...
Congrats to @lissvarna and hoping things work out for the best @Sarafuss - either baby now or baby later!
So...I may or may not have stumbled upon an email chain on my co-workers computers screen about a surprise baby shower for this girl. oops?!? I will say...took everything I had not to open it up and read it all. I'm terribly nosy!
I've been feeling a little under the weather all day today so while H was home I slept from 12-3. I guess I needed it.
I made a cheesy chicken and rice bake for the girls and it took like 2.5 hours from start to finish. I sat down to eat and they wouldn't touch it. This is why I hate cooking especially when H works nights.
@yellowrose314 Happy, happy birthday! That massage sounds heavenly...!
@Sarafuss Good luck in triage! Can't wait to hear whether it's officially baby time or not!
My random - just left the office for the last time before baby! It was kind of a sudden decision. I filled my boss in on the news following yesterday's ultrasound (recap: excess fluid means water breaking on it's own could be dangerous to baby and requires I get to the hospital immediately.) She wasn't comfortable with me being in the office (further away from hospital and DH who is of course supposed to drive me). So today became my last day in the office and I'm working from home now until baby arrives! It's getting real!
@seitzy3 that "go ahead and starve" screen cap is everything. If it's not pasta, my kid turns her nose up. She really digs her heals in and goes to bed without dinner every few days.
I am sorry I have been so busy the past few days, got a visit from friends It was very nice. It took me a while to catch up on all the posts in here lol. I won't comment on everything since I am so late but I want to make sure I congratulate @jensou and @lissvarna on their beautiful beautiful babies!! They are so adorable! All these cute babies are making me so exited and making it even harder to wait, only two more weeks until due date!!
@Bibliobebe I already have Thyroid issues so I cannot say about this new studies. I will definitely get tested again before we do another frozen transfer to make sure my levels are still okay, and then again during pregnancy. It is a very easy test thought, only a blood test and that's it. So you may want to consider doing it just for peace of mind?
@RedMar Okay this is super silly... I have seen you post since the very start of this board and I only NOW realized your icon is a dog wearing a little hat, I swear I tought it was a cow all this time. XD

This is a total MBF but I'm royally pissed. Me and my mom were chilling lakeside, on a public beach. Very well kept beach, and there is no smoking allowed, they have volunteers who make sure of that. Well there were no volunteers today, and the lady sitting right next to us lights up. Mind you, I'm sitting in a chair, pregnant belly on display, and she's blowing cigarette smoke right into my face. So I was like excuse me, can you go to the smoking area, I don't appreciate your second hand smoke and neither does my baby. She ignores me. So I got a bit firm and raised my voice, to which people turn and look "Hey lady, stub your smoke the eff out, I'd prefer not to go into preterm labour because you're an asshole". People are glaring at her at this point, she gives ME a dirty look and keeps smoking and muttering to her friend about how "people can't mind their own effing business". And then this amazing man came up behind her and poured a sandcastle bucket full of water on her, extinguishing the cigarette. It was brilliant. She went to complain to the campground office and I'm pretty sure they probably laughed her off because she came back in a huff to grab all her stuff. It was great. Still not happy about having smoke blown in my face though
@lissvarna Congrats on baby Hazel! She looks so sweet.
@JennM205 Your MIL sounds very much like my FIL. He and his wife are very self centered at times and not very flexible. We always have to go see them, they will never come visit us as its not "convenient" for them. Granted they do have a large nice house & pool but it's still an hour and a half away for us and it sucks to always have to be the ones who travel. I could go on...thankfully my FI has a pretty amazing step dad who fills the gap nicely.
@Sporty1216 That is so disappointing about your appointment. Did you finally get to see your physician?
@yellowrose314 Happy birthday!!! Enjoy that massage and the rest of your birthday spoiling!!
@Sarafuss Has your blood pressure gone down? Is there a baby coming?
So many others that I want to comment on but my FI looked at me with puppy dog eyes and asked if I'd play some PS4 with him. It's not usually my jam but he's so good to me so why not!! Plus he actually chose a game I like.
Hope everyone is having a good day week! So happy tomorrow is Friday!!!
@yellowrose314 Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoyed your spa trip and your special day! Birthdays are always special and even if we're all grown-up like I think we should still get to feel giddy and excited about it.
My computer woes are at least coming out on a good note. Hard drive and battery are failing (3 year old Mac smh) and have to be replaced but our warranty covers all of it. That's about $500 of savings. Whew. AND those important documents get to stay put! Double whew!
The only other thing of note to happen today - I drank half a scoop of whey protein powder in an attempt to up my protein without having to stuff my mouth with veggie meats all day (which is getting harder to do with less appetite). I picked the protein powder based on it saying %100 Whey and not having any ingredients that I didn't at least semi-recognize. No added herbs or artificial sweeteners. Then, as I'm downing that crap I get a weird feeling and check the canister again just in case. In teeny tiny letters that I totally missed before it says "Not safe for pregnant or nursing women". WELL YAY! Back to the veggie meat and weird tasting Luna protein bars.
@seitzy3 Same! I made brinner (breakfast for dinner) and he comes over and says, " hey I'm going to eat something else, I don't want to eat all those calories." Really. Are you kidding me?? You eat an entire bag of powdered donuts in one sitting. So what does he make that's so low cal? 2 microwaveable macaroni and cheeses and he cuts up hotdogs and cooks them in there. Livid.
@yellowrose314 I get home from conflict and spend too much energy wishisg I'd said something to rude people. You don't back down. High five girl. And bucket of water birthday knight!
My left armpit smells more than my right (which is oddly still relatively fresh). This is the second day in a row that I have noticed it, and find myself doing random comparison sniffs. Lefty is pretty funky.

@yellowrose314 happy belated!! And I swear, you have the best (water bucket knight)/worst (catnapping incident) stories!!
I'm diving back in here after giving birth (quite an ordeal) and dealing with LO's bout of jaundice that had to get treated by a biliblanket. NGL, was expecting to see more babies, but huge congrats to @Trgree1712@Ssoccerball@izzetoot@jensou@lissvarna !! Keep them coming.
@MrsVoorhees now I want brinner. We usually have that on Mondays! Breakfast is my favorite meal ever.
Is your husband still walking??
He is, but I didn't talk to him for a bit and then he felt bad. He apologized and then said he had been wanting Mac and cheese all day and planned the whole way home to eat it. I *guess* we will stay married.
My left armpit smells more than my right (which is oddly still relatively fresh). This is the second day in a row that I have noticed it, and find myself doing random comparison sniffs. Lefty is pretty funky.
This happens to me, too - but even when not pregnant! My right is always sweatier/worse smelling. It's so weird!
@Alyeena haha that's funny! It's my border collie (known to be a herder) dressed up as a sheep for Halloween. We kept making "baaaaaa" noises at her and she was going nuts lol
@yellowrose314 I can't believe how ignorant people continue to be regarding the dangers of cigarette smoke. I'm glad you said something and I'm even happier that bitch was swimming in bucket water
This is a total MBF but I'm royally pissed. Me and my mom were chilling lakeside, on a public beach. Very well kept beach, and there is no smoking allowed, they have volunteers who make sure of that. Still not happy about having smoke blown in my face though
What the WHAAAAAAT?!? I would have loved to have seen her face when the man poured the water on her.
@yellowrose314 that is an awesome story. I just don't understand the appeal to smoke! My brother is a smoker and it drives me nuts. At any rate, a couple months ago on the day of an in service for teachers there was a competition held at our high school for musical groups. As we were walking out of the school a bunch of students were standing in front of coach busses. We cut through the busses to get to our cars and the bus driver was standing there smoking. I immediately burst out that it's illegal to smoke in school grounds. I doubt that I would have blatantly said that normally but man, pregnancy has taken away any filter I used to have.
@yellowrose314 I'm not saying that it was worth the risk to the health of the baby, but the experience of watching her get her comeuppance had to be so satisfying.
Well of course my phone died. So I'm bumping from my hospital room with the keyboard they give you that operates the TV lol. After HOURS in triage they decided to admit me for induction since my BP won't come down and my headache isn't better. So I'm now in my L&D room and I'm waiting for my DH to get here with my phone charger. He had to grab my hospital bag and last minute items and then drop the kids off with my parents.

@Smallinetta@KimmySchmidt Oh the satisfaction practically had me dancing. She did the whole indignation splutter and her friend tried to come to her defence but the guy was just like "It's a non-smoking beach, and there's a fire ban.. had to put out the fire..." and walked away. It was the greatest mic drop moment ever.
@MrsVoorhees How, and I mean HOW could someone possibly want mac and cheese with hot dogs over brinner?!?! I can't fathom this. It's unfathomable. It is without fathom. I'm all riled up again... I want bacon.
@geminigirl16--thanks for asking! I ended up getting to see him after I had been there for over two hours and his report was great! He said growth looks good and anticipated that baby girl would be in the ballpark of 6 pounds by delivery. So, definitely worth the wait!
@mom2adoodle I was THAT bored lol. Thankfully DH is here now and I have my phone again. But I'm going to try and sleep now. I'll update later!

@frogdog06 Ugh, sorry your LO was dealing with jaundice too. I hated seeing Finley in the little incubator because he was so uncomfortable not being swaddled! Fin had to have two rounds of the photo light therapy
My random: I'm having a blue moment. I'm bummed I'm almost 3 weeks post partum and didn't really allow myself to talk about the post partum stuff like night sweats or insane hot flashes because I irrationally felt people wouldn't understand not care since most are/were still preggo. I was tempted to start a post partum talk thread except there would've been only 2-3 of us participating lol. Also, I have baby questions (don't worry, not asking you guys to be docs) and find myself lurking other boards to see if they are going through the same thing as me. I guess I'm feeling a little out of place here And it's all in my own head, everyone has been so wonderful and supportive and so sweet about Finley's early arrival. Blah. I'm going to chalk this random up to hormones.
@mom2adoodle Oh mama, talk away!!! I'm sure more than a few of us (especially the FTM's like myself) are incredibly curious about your PP experience. If you're open to sharing, I think I can safely say there are so many of us that would be actively listening to your story and your questions, because there may be things we haven't thought of yet!! I think the best thing about the ladies of this board is that we support each other in all phases of our pregnancy, including the PP. Whenever you want to talk, we're here to listen!! Big hugs mama.
@mom2adoodle I can absolutely see how you would feel a little lonely being one of the first to have your baby... But don't be afraid to start those postpartum threads or ask questions!! A lot of us BTDT Moms would be happy to share stories of our previous experiences, even if they might be a little less crisp in our minds! (And, who knows, in some ways that may be a benefit because we might be able to share what comes next!) Also, it won't be long before more and more babies will start being born and you won't be lonely at all - in fact, we're all going to be turning to YOU for your wisdom and perspective! Hang in there, Mama!
