Ladies I just laughed at everything I just read! @midwestbaby my hubby had to help with my shower too... there was tons of gunk left on my back from the tape from the epidural. .. and my 6 year old was there too. He had to come in the bathroom to see what we were doing! And I totally spent the first week or so as naked as possible. I already have no problem whipping out my boobs to nurse. Although I'm pretty sure I cleared a group of people at a family reunion sunday. I went to nurse Levi, and when I looked up a few minutes later the 6 or 7 people that I'd been sitting by were gone! Apparently they were not as comfortable as I was lol. Whatever. And I definitely have plenty of boob shots on my phone too. Pretty sure my FIL saw them as he scrolled through my phone last week looking at all the pics of the kids, and idc. It's a precious time that will be over too soon! I'm also jealous of all you that have a rnp... I really wanted one but never found one at a garage sale and I couldn't bring myself to spent $80 on one. But now I'm thinking I should have.
Keep your eye on target clearance!! We got an "outdated pattern" which I love and it was only $40!!
Another pee related confession. I was changing LOs diaper yesterday and he started peeing. It's the first time it's happened when I've been changing him so I panicked and just started moving his legs all around. Meanwhile he's peeing all over the wall, the crib, himself. DH was standing there and was like "what are you doing?! Cover it up!" I started laughing and couldn't stop and so I'm bent over holding my incision and DH had to finish the diaper change. He asked me how many pain meds I had taken, sadly the answer was none.
Going off of your pee confession... Poop confession LO projectile pooped while I was changing him. It landed on the window, window sill, curtain, bassinet inside and outside, changing pad, a burp cloth, his new diaper, and his feet.
8 times out of 10, I'm on my phone surfing while nursing.
Well, I think I need to be on my phone less because I dropped it on baby A's belly while nursing today.
She was milk drunk drinking away with her eyes closed but the moment it happened, her eyes opened wide and did the newborn surprised motion:
Bad mom! I felt so bad...luckily she won't remember this...
I'm seriously impressed you can do anything while she is nursing except that. Maybe it's because baby boy is 9.5 lbs, or that I am awful at it, or that he's not really that into breastfeeding and takes cajoling, but I can barely keep him in position and the nipple in his mouth. So you go girl... Multitask for the both of us.

You can get one on amazon for $50 give or take if you don't need all the bells and whistles. My boys only sleep in the rnp at night. My ped said it was fine. They sleep in the pnp together during the day. I have no shame using the pacifier and using it often. They did in the nicu so if they did it there than its a go. I'm also exclusively pumping though so the few times I do try to put them to breast they get a smidge confused and pissed they can't get to the food as fast.
I'm also considering buying a spectra 2 pump. After I got two medala Pisas for free. I've heard wonderful things and cringe everytime I turn this one on. Yes, I'm pumping now. Sorry of my life. eat, feed babies, pump, maybe sleep a bit, wash bottles and do it all over again. Thankfully SO isn't getting any sleep either since we have two..
Well ladies, my baby is sick with a cold. On our way home from urgent care I stopped at target and bought a $75 rnp. I need to keep Levi at an incline to ease my mind with this cold, and I need to be able to put him down. He's been wanting to be held, and I think it's because he's stuffy

Aw! Hope the RnP works toward a speedy recovery for baby Levi.
@stephanie7693 we just got the one that vibrates, the cheapest model they had, and it has still been an absolute life saver. We haven't even used the vibrate function. I hope it does the same for you!
She was milk drunk drinking away with her eyes closed but the moment it happened, her eyes opened wide and did the newborn surprised motion:
@AliKay20 cannot stop laughing!!!! Literally my baby's head is bobbing around on my boob because of laughing. I've never seen a more accurate gif. My day is made, thank you!
I am so glad I was not the first to get peed and pooped on by DD. Today DH gave our DD a bath as he was heading to the bath she projectiles poo all over the bathroom door and pees all over DH I should have took a photo. I cleaned it up with wipes and then got some Lysol wipes to clean it. I have to say DD can poo and man it looks like the tall mans blood from Phantasm bright mustard yellow
Little man slept pretty good in the rock n play last night! He woke up at his usual times, and he seems a little better this morning. Less gunk in his eye and he was able to open it right away this morning. Happy mama here!
DH and I left both of our boys (DS1 was asleep for the night) with my mom last night for a couple of hours. We went out and got a drink and dessert. It was so nice to have a moment with just DH and feel like a normal adult for a little while. It was painful to have to pump and throw out my milk (I'm a total lightweight at this point and my 1 cocktail and 1 glass of wine was too much for me to feel comfortable with), but still so worth it! And Baby B took a bottle of pumped milk from my mom, which was a win, since he's been a little fussy about taking any bottles.

I am sooo looking forward to that day! I already have our restaurant and my drink picked out lol. But we aren't giving baby bottles yet, so another week or two and I'll get my date night! And u want to go to the state fair, but not sure if I can get two kid free outings in the next 3 weeks.
@Stephanie7693 I never thought about it having other purposes! I'll have to read up on that for next time.
And I'm totally with you on knowing what drink you want already. I had been dreaming of a margarita since 3 months into my pregnancy and it was all that I had imagined and more
I'm dreaming about this drink called a flirtini! It's pretty much a raspberry martini and it's delicious. The food there is amazing too, so I'm looking forward to everything about that place
I SUCK at swaddling. Or he is really good at getting out of them
Disclaimer- this was after he got mad that I wasn't getting him and his bottle fast enough. He was kicking around for about 5 minutes. I did NOT put him in the crib this way!!
@msdidonato this made me giggle out loud. I feel like we need a funny/cute photo thread of things like this. A no judgement zone for mommy fails/wins/overall confusion.

I second this!! Yesterday, baby A shot out shit all over the crib and wall (she wasn't even in the crib). We are bound to have more moments like that - might as well laugh at ourselves looking back at what we captured!

Yes! Mom fails. Where we can all post pictures and laugh at ourselves.

I highly recommend some SwaddleMe Swaddlers. They have Velcro and are amazing. They sell them at target. Otherwise my Houdini boys look just like that

We have them and they are awesome! The only thing is it seems to thoroughly piss LO off to be swaddled.

Swaddleme is great. We use them too because swaddling otherwise looks like that. But baby manages to get his arms out of the swaddleme by morning
Okay ladies since I'm still waiting for LO to arrive, I'll let one of you start the photo #momfail #momFTW thread the next time you have a good one! (And hopefully I'll be joining you soon!!)
@tmk0325 oh I have tried 4-5 different types of the swaddles. He hates them all. Thank god for being able to return things to target :-) The muslin swaddles are the only ones he likes. Im jealous of moms whose LOs like the swaddles sith Velcro.
Thankfully, he only gets out of them like that picture when he's mad and kicking around. Usually he stays in them well.
I LOVE the idea of a mom fail discussion. I can't wait for it.

I learned tonight that wine can go flat. I've never left a bottle open for more than a few days. I decided to finish off what was left in this bottle that was opened over a month ago when we had a bbq. I had a glass the first week home and it was ok. Now, 2 weeks later, it's definitely flat. But I'm drinking it anyway!
@AliKay20 I'm pretty sure you and I would be bff's in real life. We just got a three pack in the mail today because I couldn't resist the summer-ness of the print. I think they are softer than the Aden and Anais brand personally. Can't wait to wash them up and use them. I agree you can never have enough swaddles.

Lol, this! This thought has come across myself as well. Guess what I had in the cart but didn't check out?
Yep. No joke, the same set. I wanted to get the matching bibs too but they were sold out. #greatmindsthinkalike

Hmm...does the baby need them or do I?
One reasons, "but you can never have enough of these swaddle blankets. Baby spits up a lot too...sometimes...maybe..."
Good thing I only have 6 wks left of mat leave. So many cute things I don't need but want for myself. I mean for baby.
