This might be a UO & a random all in one but are there any other ladies who have done everything & are now just waiting on baby to come? I've hardcore nested in the past month everything is bought, washed, cleaned, organized and/or packed and I literally have nothing to really do for the next 11 days but wait. I didn't even have a nursery much less everything I needed until my first was 6 months old so I just don't know what to do with myself.
I mean, my house isn't clean (see above meme) but everything for baby is good to go, except for packing a bag which I'll do when I'm in labor I guess.

I'm right there with ya. Last time I didn't have anything ready and DD came 5 weeks early do this time I needed to get organized.
I I got my car detailed Friday so my carsest is finally installed. Now to wait......
Another random: just got back from a housewarming party where they only served chips, fruit and drinks. You can imagine my disappointment. Deklyn seemed a little upset too considering she was walking around the house going "where are all the cupcakes?!" Hahaha
@Themaritimemama haha, definitely not. I like things to be organized and done no matter what. I think last pregnancy because I worked full time up to my due date and really had no clue what a baby really needed helped me in being totally unorganized. This time I had lists upon lists of exactly what I knew needed to be done or bought and I'm a SAHM. I'm so restless now though even with having a 3 year old to occupy my time it still feels like I'm waiting around a lot for something to need doing!
These things are amazing for the infant seats! They are magnets that you put up towards the top/sides of the seat and you stick the metal buckle to them to hold the strap out of the way while you put baby in the seat. You can also get them on Amazon in Orange.
@Megan324 that's more my speed. I think a lot about the things I could do. And then I sit on the couch.
This is SO me at the moment!
Hoping that I'll get that burst of energy next week when I am finally done work. I can't believe that I have 5 more days in the office then am done for a year! Where has the time gone??
@VeraMali I'll trade you places! I've still a decent amount of things to finish. However, if my little guy came tomorrow, we'd be fine. Just not as organized as I'd like.
@KimmySchmidt Nesting definitely isn't a hormonal thing because I have all the same hormones and here I am sitting on my couch in my disaster of a house watching the olympics.

@VeraMali--I'm there with you! Everything is ready to go. I'm just waiting for my new diaper bag to come from Etsy and then i'll pack my bag and baby girl's. But I still have 3.5 weeks to go. Feels like it will last an eternity...even/especially with a 2 yo to chase!
@geminigirl16 I'd come help if I could! You just watch my 3 year old and provide me a sturdy desk chair with wheels to sit in & I could organize till the cows come home lol.
I'm really jealous of all of you having sex. I'm pretty sure the last time we had sex was around 20 weeks and baby squirmed and husband felt him move and now he's completely uninterested which of course matched nicely with my surge of hormones... Let's just say I've had lots of alone time
@megan324. I told him he was going to have to once I reach full term. Since baby is measuring big, I would rather try to jump start labor so as to try and avoid a csection

@Ssoccerball - OMG I'm so glad I checked in tonight!!! Congratulations on those beautiful babies!! You did one heck of a job growing them. And I'm so thrilled they haven't been in the NICU. Eeek!! OK, I may be a little over excited to see they're doing so well. I'm just thrilled for you guys!!
It's crazy to me how labor can go super fast sometimes. I have a friend that is due on the 20th. We hung out yesterday at our niece's birthday party and when she left at 730 she said she was hoping baby would come soon but wasn't holding her breath. I just checked on Facebook and he was born at 5am! I'm jealous that her entire labor was less than 12 hours. Both her and baby are doing well. I'm also a little jealous because the next couple of days it's supposed to stupid hot and she gets to be in an air conditioned room.
Re nesting: Spent the day deep cleaning the house. I have a strong desire for the house to he as clean as possible, but agree that it's more of a "it just makes sense" over it being a hormonal thing.
We were planning on cleaning our carpets today (we have a carpet cleaner and do it every once in a while) but totally flaked. I want everything ready but even walking through the store leaves my hips hurting so bad I can barely move the next day So yeah, I think about nesting more than I do it.
Thanks ladies, for all the birthday wishes! Definitely made me feel loved. The little prince and I went to the aquarium and had dinner, so that was awesome.
