I am in L&D with contractions and bloody show. They can't break my water because I am not 39 weeks yet. Letting my body progress on it's own until morning.

They won't break your water??? My ob broke mine when I was in labor at 37w (but wouldn't do it before 37)
Aria Noelle was born last night at 10:55. We had quite the rough delivery (degree four tear/ internal stitches. My epidural didn't work at the end three separate times and her head was rotated the wrong way). I am extremely exhausted being awake for two days straight. But we did it! At 12 days early she ended up being almost 9lbs! Everyone was shocked when she came out. I will post a birth announcement as soon as we get home in the next couple of days.

Sorry to hear it @jkershaw2013. The wait can be so hard!
Good luck @jamiesc58. My doc broke mine at 38w but I was leaking already and 5cms. Not sure of the protocol.
Yay! Congrats @midwestbaby. We were due date buddies and now our babies have the same bday! Haha. I'm surprised she was so big. You never looked big with her. Hope you have a great recovery! Enjoy that little one!

Mine also wouldn't do any interventions prior to 39w. I believe that if you're over 5cm and in very active labor, they will break your water, but I was 38w6d and they told me that they couldn't do anything to pick up my labor.
My labor buddy @Allisun85 had her sweet baby boy, Oliver! She said she will post details as soon as she's recovered a bit. Just wanted give an update! Yay!
We started the induction process, currently getting pitocin, am having contractions but baby is still hanging out high. Hopefully this process isn't super long... Will be curious to see how this goes compared to my first (went into labor on my own). Walking into labor and delivery not in active labor felt a little strange this morning
@jkershaw2013. I kept getting bumped all day on my scheduled induction day. (Due to L&D being full)I know the wait is horrible. Especially when you thought it was happening yesterday. Hopefully they were able to get you in this morning.
Well, I guess it's my turn to contribute to the labor thread. Went to my doctors office today for low fetal movement and promptly got sent to the hospital for induction.
We been here since 2:30 and they just started Cervidil to soften my cervix. Apparently m I was having contractions when I got here but just did not realize it. Now I can feel the contractions but they're still pretty far apart and my cervix is dilated or softened at all.
The plan is to keep the Cervidil in until 5 o'clock in the morning at which point the reevaluate my cervix and start Pitocin if needed.
Induction was definitely not part of the birth plan but at this point I am just ready for her to be out so I'll take it.

Whew! This thread is getting hard to keep up with, especially while taking care of a newborn! In case I miss anyone - Good luck to all the August mamas, I'm rooting for you!
So contractions are 10 minutes apart right now, waiting to go to the hospital, will probably head there in an hour! When people on here have said you'll know when you're having real contractions - trust me you'll know! Tried to sleep but it's impossible .. DH is sleeping right now, I'm letting him get some rest so he won't be fussy lol .. I'm super excited that I started legitimate labor on my own. I haven't been bumped from my scheduled 2am induction time so this is it!
