@ThisisNumber3 I think they are holding off on that so I don't end up on a time clock to make progress.
The cervical they gave me is triggering my body to do it on its own! I made some great progress today without any meds. Admittedly slow progress, but steady. The doctor thinks another course of it as soon as the contractions slow enough will push me into active labor, without the need for pitocin or any other interventions.
Of course... The ones day from the start I said "I hope he isn't born on...." August 9... Our wedding day. Well dh, here is your anniversary present!
In labor and delivery waiting to be admitted. Contractions 2-3 minutes apart. 3cm dialated and after getting here had my bloody show. The nurse is waiting to get more progression and the okay for the on call doctor to admit me. I'm kinda in denial that this is it. I also have a ham hands nurse for cervical checks. I am seriously dreading the next one.

Officially admitted. I now have a new nurse. Thank god. They are going to let me labor on my own through night, check me in the morning and decide if I need any help with dilating. Good thing I took a nap today! I still have this fear they will send me home even though the new nurse has reassured me many times that I am here to stay. And even if I don't dilate anymore they will get it moving in the AM. It's all kinda surreal.

@midwestbaby that is so not fair!!! We were supposed to be the last pregnant ladies here lol. I have my 38 week check today and I am hopeful they will do the membrane sweep and help things to get moving. Good luck!!!

Had my 39 wk apt this AM and the doc sent me to the hospital for BP monitoring. Turns out I'm in labor!!! Time to get this party started. Currently at 4 cm with regular contractions - they are planning to break my water soon. Good luck to everyone!!!
Getting ready to push in about a half hour. This day was a hot mess, but I survived and am so ready to meet this baby!
