@Isthisthereallife @kaityh1 ugh so sorry to hear girls was really hoping for some BFPS. I know its not easy and it sucks!! hoping you all can enjoy happy hour!! It always hurts no matter how much we try to prepare ourselves. hoping these cycles will come out great for you so you have a successful IUI ahead!

So my first (for IUI) U/S went well yesterday, he said I have plenty of eggs, more than 10 in each ovary. He started me on Clomid tonight for 5 days, which he told me will make me super fertile! I am going back in on Friday for another U/S and bloodwork. They will tell me if I am ready for my trigger shot then. Right now I am just trying to get the trigger shot because we don't have the extra $100 for it and I am worried that means we will not be able to do this cycle.

@Hopeful_mom thank you. im so nervous, idk if how I've been feeling is normal as I know everyone's body is different.

Slight abdominal cramping, lower back pain and occasional hot flashes.

What is everyone doing during their 2ww? I'm bored already. I did test to see if I still had the Ovidrel trigger shot in my system, yes it's still there. I wasn't sure how long it lasts, this is all new to me. I'll do test on 8/18

@fivetimesnoluck @kristynelson13 @Isthisthereallife Even though we are here again, I'm glad to have some familiar "faces" this time around!

Today is CD2 and I will be calling RE Office when they open. I imagine we will be going in tomorrow for baseline. Fingers crossed that I don't have any cysts so we can move forward. If all is good, I am guessing IUI # 3 will be on the 19th or so.

Guess I'll jump in here, better late than never since we're in the 2WW. IUI was Saturday, and was a logistical nightmare, and it was a day I was trying to avoid because it was the anniversary of the date I lost my dad, and I always get a little wiggy that day, and it didn't help that DH was in a snit because we had to get up at the butt crack of dawn because this location is far away and he's not a morning person at all, plus it killed our entire morning.

I was able to go out with some girlfriends Saturday night, though, so that helped relieve some pressure. And the double-dosing Clomid apparently helped a bit, I had one really good follicle at my US, plus two more hot on its heels, although my lining was thinner this time (which is why they had me wait an extra day). Friday is my progesterone test (which was a hair low last time, which is why they upped my Clomid), then blood test two weeks from today unless AF shows up (although if last cycle is any indication, I'll POAS on Saturday or Sunday). FX for everyone here, hope this is the month!

Hi ladies!!! I love reading each of your posts and stories even though I'm such a newbie I still have to decipher a lot of the acronyms! Now I need some advice and positivity!

This morning I went in for my first scan after finishing the Femara last week. They saw 2 17mm follicles on the right ovary. The doctor said they looked good and that my lining was nice and thick. I didn't have a very heavy period at all so I've been worried about that. He said my doc would review the ultrasound and give me a call with instructions on when to trigger and next steps.

My nurse just called and said my dr wants me to come in tomorrow morning so she can look at my lining. I feel like that is bad and that I won't be able to do the IUI this month. I'm trying not to freak out but I don't know what this means. I had a great acupuncture session right after my US this morning and we made plans to get in another tomorrow or Wednesday depending on when I trigger. Now I don't know what to do!

I was in the July IUI group and had found out I was pregnant on DPO 15 that we were pregnant...just found out today DPO 26 that it was a Chemical Pregnancy. We had low beta numbers from the start and I was spotting through out so it helped to not get my hopes up tooo much. The good news is that we get to join the August IUI group and don't have to wait a month.

Thanks kristynelson13! We are just glad to get back at it and not have to wait. I try to think about it as that it likely was a chromosome issue or unhealthy little follie and that maybe this is a blessing in disguise.

Question for you ladies. I just had my first IUI last cycle. I stopped progestorne today (last pill was last night). How quickly does AF typically arrive after you stop? I historically have had longer cycles, 35 days, but I'm sure on pills it's different. Anxious to start our August cycle.

Isthisthereallife For me it has been quick after stopping progesterone...most 3 days...sometimes quicker. I also have long cycles with out it. I am expecting mine in the next day or so after not taking it tonight.

Plainjanie Gosh it sounds like your having some hard conversations with your DH. Glad your thinking about adoption. Was your IUI so expensive because of injectables? Mine are usually around 1000 with 1 ultrasound, meds, and the IUI

I'm starting Clomid tonight; DH is afraid I'm going to turn into a raging hormonal nightmare, so I figure I'll apologize in advance for everything I say or do in the next five days

Also fun, our pharmacist (who DH is friendly with and who had similar motility issues) seemingly half trying to talk me out of the Clomid. He and his wife went through the Clomid + IUI process and ended up with twins, which is clearly making his life a little stressful. ;-)

@BecauseLove HI! The wait is going. I'm trying SO hard to not over analyze every little thing. This morning I was nauseous and had to convince myself that I'm only 4 dpo and it's clearly too early for morning sickness.

Also, DH told me he'd be "disappointed" if I POAS before my beta (8/19). Ugh!!

How are all you other TWW ladies doing? What are you doing to fill your time?

I'm doing ok with my wait, today is CD19, probably 5dpo, already feeling the dull aches I get a week or so before AF so I'm trying not to hold out any hope for this last natural cycle. Just keeping my chin up, and my eyes focused on next cycle's plans (and desperately stalking any IUI success stories I can find

@Isthisthereallife AF showed up the day after I stopped the progesterone. I was shocked it was so quick!

To all of you who manage to reply and post correctly to each person, you are awesome and thank you! I can't keep up yet, but I'm catching on slowly!

I've got 1/2 an update. Went in this morning and perplexed my doctor. She said that my lining is very thick - 16mm and I have fluid in my uterus. She didn't think an IUI would be successful but she didn't want to rule it out just then either. She wants to do a biopsy of the lining and think about what to do. I love that she does t make snap decisions and I love that she's a huge researcher. She will dig for answers. But the waiting is torture! She's going to call me later today to tell me what she decided. If she thinks there is any possibility I'm going to push to do it. What can it hurt at this point? Unless she wants to start menu period right away and then shoot for IUI later in the month, then I'd rather do that. Right? Ughhhh why can't it be easy?

@BecauseLove I tested last night and got a negative, so the trigger shot should be out of my system. I took it at 8:30pm last Tuesday.

@madasm0530 I've been cleaning, watching tv, and running errands with my friends. Trying to stay busy. This was my first iui and the 2ww is going to drive me crazy. It's hard not to symtomize myself.

Do you count the day of your insemination? Mine was on Thursday 8/4. Trying to figure out if I'm 5 or 6 dpiui

Hello ladies, I'm not sure if this is going to be the board for me- depends on how quickly AF comes once I stop the Provera. It looks like the IUI will be scheduled end of August/beginning of September. tomorrow I go in bright and early for my day 11 ultrasound to check on follies.. Fx it all looks good and I can trigger

@jwg9101 That’s frustrating to hear about your lining. I agree with your question about why can’t it be easy? Sometimes I wonder how anyone gets pregnant…there are so many things that have to go perfectly in order for it to happen.

@becauselove I was so sad to hear about your CP. I had been stalking the July IUI board as I waited for August to roll around and was really excited for you. Glad that you don’t have to wait a month and can start again right away though!

@kristynelson13 Good luck at your u/s tomorrow! Hoping for a few mature follies.

madasm0530 My husband also has said that he will want me to wait until my BETA too. In the early stages of TTC, we used to test at 10 DPO and the BFNs would make me upset but then I will still hope until AF arrived and I was devastated. We've since stopped testing early. Waiting is hard but in the end is easier for me. Hoping it's easier for you too!

Update on me. I am up to 1000mg of Metformin which is half of the dose I'll eventually be on. I’ve had some nausea and stomach pains but it’s been tolerable so far. I’m relieved it hasn’t been as bad as it is for a lot of people. I finished Letrozole days 5-9 on Sunday. Now I’m supposed to do an OPK every morning and go in on the morning it’s positive. Does anyone else do it this way? I seem to only hear about scheduled ultrasounds.

Also, I used to track CM but I’m not sure if it would mean anything in a medicated cycle. Does anyone notice their CM getting fertile when their follies are mature?

@jah87 i give you credit i'm too nervous to test, i did once and it was always negative so i guess it leaves my system quickly. I am busy working a lot and trying to sleep but i keep hoping that since i added in acupuncture that will be my trick that makes my lil bean stick!! how r u doing? Seems like you and @madasm0530 are all around the same. I can't say i'm feeling anything really, and if i am its not in the right spot in my tummy. My IUI was 8/2 and 3 so I guess that means i would be 6dpo? Is it strange i keep wanting to see IB hopng that could be my sign!!

@madasm0530 I hear u!!! I get nauseous just traveling by car, train, bus always so i can never count that as a sign but i know i can't

jwg9101 I'm glad that your dr isn't giving up, sorry this is such a frustrating process. I had left over lining my first cycle of getting started to take clomid and i had to keep going back to see when to try, it was a disastrous couple of months especially taking meds and such...had lots of tears. hang in there!! Did she say what size your follicle are at 17 is good meaning they still have time to mature and be strong eggs!

Bababatty good lcuk with the clomid i think the worst part for me is feeling like a furnace! Yes my OH says i'm moody but i think hes using it as an excuse

I'm jealous of your pharmacist i would love twins. Are the identical? How many mautre follies did they have...i think thats very exciting!

I can only add that with taking clomid i feel like my cm is way different and less, so not really sure you can go off of that OR be concerned about it. My u/s are quite costly doing the opk does make sense. Are you doing a trigger shot with it?

@becauselove ugh my heart sank reading your update wish i could hug you!! So sorry it was a chemical pregnancy. I could be wrong but this does mean that the egg fertilized just didn't implant? I heard thats what it meant which I think it great, shows your body is getting on board! Sorry it wasn't meant to be but thrilled you dont have to miss a cycle and can be along for the ride this month! Really hoping u get your sticky healthy bean!!!

@hopefulmom I try to test to make sure it's out of my system so when I test at home in 2 weeks I'll know if I end up with a BFP then it's not from the medication. My RE doc said to test at home if I get a BFP then they'll do b/w otherwise we'd start #2 iui. Today I've had bad lower back cramps and lower abdominal cramps, different than the last few days. I'm only 5dpiui. This is my first one and it's hard to not symtomize myself and wonder what every little thing could mean. I'm going a little crazy but trying to stay busy.

AFM, I had my baseline yesterday and no cysts! I started Femara last night and will start Gonal-F tomorrow. If all goes as planned, IUI will be on the 20th. Has anyone created a tracker chart for this board?

Hey ladies... Here are my results. Lining looks good at 6.6. This is a big improvement because on clomid it was 4.5. So looks like the femara helped in that instance.

However, I am not thrilled about the follies. I have 4 total.
3 on the left - the biggest one measures at 8 (they all may be too small)
1 on the right- 13

So now I wait for next steps, really was hoping for bigger follies. boo.

@hopeful_mom I think they're fraternal. DH got a bit panicky but I told him I was fine with twins and it didn't make any sense to lessen our chances for something that is still quite rare. Clomid's going well so far! It's so hot in our apartment I can't tell if it's hot flashes, so I'm guessing not. I also haven't turned into a hormonal mess yet--DH's biggest fear--so I'm relieved!
