My mood is out of whack today. I woke up excited but anxious because our anatomy scan was today. Everything went well there; though DD2 would not cooperate with the technician for measurements. So I have to go back in a month so they can measure a few more things. DH decided that he couldn't wait to see the doctor and had to go on to work (we took 2 cars), which kind of annoyed me because I have to go to work TOO. I ended up waiting an extra 45 minutes (their computers went down) for a 5 minute visit where she said everything was fine.
I called DH on my way to work, and he's bringing some of his trainees by our house today for training. That just makes me uncomfortable because it's three people I don't know in my safe space. So I asked him to keep them out of our bedroom and bathroom, and I asked him to not leave them alone (for like the second time today). And he snapped at me that 'of course he wouldn't leave them alone!'. And then that set me off because it was unnecessary for him to raise his voice. So cue crying in my car on the way to work. He called back and apologized, but I just feel like I have one of those mood hangovers, where it's going to make me feel sad and ornery all day. Blerg.
Saw a cute planner today and thought it would be perfect to schedule things from my Pre-Baby To-do List.
Got it, and not only have I scheduled a day for each thing on my list, but I've planned my anniversary gift to DH (which is December 1st), a Christmas list for DH and Ashton as well as when to start buying presents, and have planned Christmas breakfast and dinner.
@DiFazette I had a smooth-writing gel pen and it was heaven. I got one from Barnes & Noble for $13. It has a big calendar for each month with spaces big enough to write appointments, but also included an agenda space for each day so I can write lists and details...plus tabs to easily flip between months. Aw yeah.
Scheduling days for each thing on my list gives me a deadline and motivation instead of just having a list with no direction that allows me to procrastinate. I feel good knowing I won't have to stress out later. Planners for the win!
@PensiveCrayon They aren't really my thing. I'm too lazy to set up my own format, and I Iike having big calendars. For planning, I actually prefer student agendas because they tend to have the calendars, spaces, and even budgeting sheets in the back. The only thing I like more than planning is sticking to a budget!
Off topic, but you know when you go pee, and then by the time you get back to your office (3 minutes) you have to pee again? I'm going to have to start looking into adult diapers or a catheter or just move my desk into a bathroom stall.
@LinziLoo09 you get me. What I've started doing is peeing, then waiting a minute and I can generally pee more. Maybe I'm not emptying my bladder fully the first round, but thought it's worth a suggestion because this shiz is annoying.
At this point @DiFazette I think I could maintain a constant stream of pee through all hours of the day. I'm starting to think that I'm just generating pee from nothing - like Jesus, but with a seriously flawed gift for miracle-making.
@Linziloo09 YES! It's so annoying...I've wondered if my work laptop can get wi-fi in the bathroom...it would save a lot of time not having to go back to my desk.

I do the same as @DiFazette and hang out for another minute or so. Sometimes leaning forward or backwards help empty my bladder.
I haven't done a single thing for this kiddo and I Feel a little guilty about it. I haven't bought a single thing, prepped anything, or chosen a name. It's like I'm not Even KU. Poor second kid.
I take my phone whenever I go to the bathroom now. At least I can still answer e-mails from my phone. I have been known to drag my laptop into the bathroom, especially if I'm working on something for my boss or one of my agents. The dog gives me funny looks. I just remind him I don't give him funny looks when he goes all contortionist to lick his ass and he just sighs and walks away, or lies down.

Last night I peed, brushed my teeth, and by the time I was done brushing I had to pee again. It is seriously ridiculous.
I think I mentioned this before, but when I had an ultrasound at my urologist's a week ago, there was a baby skull in every bladder shot. She is just hammering her little head in there apparently, and I have the pictures to prove it.
My baby's head was so far down at the anatomy scan that the tech had to tilt the bed back to try and get him to move up! Luckily I haven't been feeling any bladder kicks. The peeing is bad enough as it is, without a little boychild using it as his personal trampoline!

I could literally feel L bouncing on my bladder last pregnancy. It was 'I have to go NOW' then half a second later 'oh maybe not' just o. Repeat all day long.

Our boy child actually does use my bladder as a trampoline and I have the whole experience on video. Just saying. It's brutal.
What helps me is to sit down and pee regularly, and when I think I'm done, I lean forward as much as I can. I actually read that tip in a book or magazine (maybe What to Expect?) and it actually does work for me. Sometimes it's as simple as changing your position.
So many bladder kicks it's unreal. The having to lee constantly will get worse the further ain't we get because baby will be heavier and when you get closer to delivery baby will drop. Ughh
I am also 100 percent guilty of bringing a phone in to the bathroom so I can sit there longer and make sure all my pee gets out. As a teacher, I wonder how I'm gonna do the bathroom breaks thing-im connected to another classroom I might have to leave the door open so the other teacher can watch my kiddos and do it that way

That system should work!
I'm also interested to see how the school year will play out with needing the bathroom all the time. I'll probably just go whenever I need to, though. Luckily, our bathroom is right across the hall from my classroom. Technically I shouldn't leave the kids alone, but they're AP seniors, so they should get it (and not burn down the classroom either).
On the peeing subject...at my work we have a chat client. My boss was asking me a few things today and I was answering then had to pee. There was a few minutes break between answers. I guess he chatted the guy in the cube across from me asking if I was there. I got back, was in conversation and about 15 minutes later I had to pee again. When I got back to my desk there was a message from him asking if I need a blackberry so I can keep working while I use the bathroom since I'm there so much! Guilty.
What I've learned from reading this post: Reading about peeing techniques really increases my urgency to pee. To top it off, I sat through an early morning presentation today on urinary frequency and incontinence. So my bladder is determined to "show off" today.
Also, I got my first cervix punch last night. Super fun...not uncomfortable at all...
The woman at my OB's office who does all of the scheduling just called to confirm our C Section date of 12/8!! I'm so pumped....although I have this sneaking suspicion little dude will surprise us with an early visit

I like my MIL but I was super annoyed with her constant comments like "how about Victor, that's a nice name". Or "we thought Martin would be nice" after we told her that our baby has been named. His name is Kai, and I couldn't care less if you don't like it, but I don't need to keep hearing about it.
@Kate08Young now why did you have to go and freak me out? I was having a nice day!
Because if I'm freaked out, then everyone needs to freak out. That could seriously be me in 6w. My OB didn't have any science behind it, but told me that they don't expect me to make it 48 hrs after they remove my stitch, and he would be surprised if I made it to 34 when the stitch will be removed.

Just curious...why do they remove the stitch at 34 weeks?
@JessCL My family did the exact same thing with names. I ignored them but it took everything in me not to say that they had their turn to name babies and now it's mine.
@JessCL - my mom is similar. My brother told her once that we liked Henry and she couldn't let it go. She has repeatedly brought up that she doesn't like the name and hopes we don't use it. We are not using it for this child, but if we ever have another boy it is a front runner. Get over it, seriously. It's not that big of a deal.
@Kate08Young - I'm also curious about how they decide to remove the stitch? In other news, I know BH are "normal" but I've been having them since 20 weeks and I'm convinced that means I'll have a baby early. Hopefully not at 30 weeks though! Hope that baby is doing ok.
@JessCL Its just their policy. They have to remove it between 34-37 weeks, but I *think* because of how short mine is they are worried about the 'natural end of pregnancy' effacing and dilating and they don't want it to rip out before they are ready.
@penelope4612 The strange thing is, even after they dilated me and put the stitch in, I haven't had a single BH or regular contraction. My cervix is just super ready to pop this LO out.

This volunteer at camp said, "wow, your muffin top is really sticking out!" I think (hope) she meant bump??? Then later her husband ask if he could feel the baby move yet! I had to assure him he wouldn't be able to feel it yet. Oh my word. Another of our close staff/friends were there for the later request and were totally cracking up seeing me very strongly assure him there would be NO chance of him "feeling the baby". Its a good thing it's the last week... I don't know if I could handle any more comments or requests.
