DH is gone on his last business trip before baby. I just returned from part 1 of labor and delivery classes and now the dog and I have the house to ourselves tonight and I'm also off tomorrow. Biggest concern is where to order food from
That's always my biggest concern when H is gone for the night too!! I can get whatever sounds good to me. It's always exciting.
Always order from the place your husband doesn't like! No brainer!
DH was about to crack open a beer and I told home that he wasn't allowed to have a beer until he got me a Diet Pepsi (joking of course, but I really wanted one) and he actually stopped what he was doing and went to the store to get me a case as well as some chocolate ice cream to go with our fresh raspberries
We worked all day putting insulation in the nursery and doing the electrical. I'm beat. Also, I started crying this morning because the room is getting close to being done. 3 times. I will not miss weeping at everything after this pregnancy.
Good God, DH and I went out for lunch (feet were already a little puffy) and then I came home and sat at the computer for almost an hour to do some graphic design work and now my feet look like risen bread dough. My toes are sticking out of two swollen balloons like little cocktail weenies.
Eeek. I am sorry to hear you are having a rough afternoon @PSUBecky23!
@Thscary Keep us posted on what you decide for food! I am not sure what I am in the mood for yet for dinner.
My randoms for the day: H has spent the weekend putting together our Halo Bassinet, Pack 'N Play (to use the vibrating bassinet downstairs and the changing station) and our new glider. $hit is getting real over here!!
Also, does anyone else feel like Tim Allen from 'The Santa Clause' when they put on sweats, a sweatshirt or heck even a t-shirt that they used to wear pre-pregnancy that now forms to their belly/body? I can't help but have that image of him walking into work wearing a sweatsuit that is snug because nothing else fits! That is how I feel at home in my comfy clothes.
Married: 3/21/15 First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years
@blondie080300 Yes I look hilarious in my pre pregnancy sleeping shirts. They don't cover my belly button and we just laugh at my "beer gut" but Santa is so accurate too!
@blondie080300 yes!!! I started packing my hospital bag today and packed a mix of non-maternity and maternity clothes. I fit pretty well into loose/baggy normal clothes last time but just in case... I don't need to be the Santa Claus after birth too!!
We went to a local manmade "beach" today. It was fun, good times had by all three of us. However, while in the water a 6-8 year old girl asked me if I was having triplets. I'm still fixated on this because, while I know I'm big, I don't think I'm quite that big.
@camichael84 Ah, kids. Sometimes they say the kindest, sweetest things. And other times they're total jerks. Sorry that kiddo's comment put you in a funk. FTR (from someone with a LOT more experience/wisdom than a little girl ) you definitely do NOT look like you're carrying triplets!

There is a kid I work with that likes to point out that I seem to be getting bigger daily. He also tells me frequently that I need to start working out as soon as baby arrives. He's a teen and while I know in my head it's his own body issues coming out its really hard to not let it get to you or show that it gets to you.
@MojieJo I'm having that problem a lot with the humidity/ probably too much time in an office chair. Big spherical feet with little raisin toes. Grrross.
@Bibliobebe everytime I hear the opening strains of that song....
@jas1982 I'm chalking it up to heat, humidity and walking followed by prolonged sitting in a position with my heavy stomach sitting on my upper thighs. I took a nap and they went back down to their "normal" puffiness level, but it was ridiculous. Even my knees were swollen up like grapefruits by the time I laid down. Do not want.
UUUGGHHH ladies it's been over a week and STILL no internet at home! Our landlord is so blasé about it too- I told her it's a problem because I work from home once in a while, and when I have the baby I will need to work from home consistently so it's a HUGE problem. She said "understood," yet there still has been nothing done. I have to leave our apartment and go elsewhere just to use the freaking internet. AND we have poor service on our phones at home, so we are having trouble even using our phones at home. I have half a mind to tell her we don't feel we should pay the full rent this month because we still have no internet, and it's supposed to be included. Our landlord is a lawyer, and not a nice person anyway, so I'm trying to tread lightly but UGH.

I finally caught up on the randoms posts! We're on vacation now and it's fun but also crazy-town so computer time is limited.
Thinking about all of you and hoping everyone's icky symptoms and feelings take a hike soon! Just remember mamas:
