Guys, a fun thing to do when you can't sleep is to search our old HDBD threads. I got all the way up to May! It was fun watching the progression of everyone. I also realized there's tons of people who don't participate anymore and it made me sad in case something had happened
Congrats @mom2adoodle Fin is absolutely adorable and such a solid little man... Looks like he has long feet and toes, is your husband tall?? I can imagine how over the moon you guys are, congratulations!!!
Also, remember in HDBD when many of us realized that @erinmarie86 and @PSUBecky23 are doppelgängers? (Thanks autocorrect for the fancy a). I'm getting nostalgic over here of times past!

There's been a couple other doppelgänger sightings in my life since then.
@mom2adoodle Congrats!!! Fin is absolutely adorable, what a head of hair on that one!! I'm so happy that you are all doing well... rest up and enjoy this beautiful little boy!
DH and DD just set off on a Daddy/Daughter date to the zoo. When the trip was originally planned, I was supposed to go too but we decided it was best for me to sit out since I honestly can't even run to the grocery store and back (for 2 things) without setting off a steady round of BH!
I was bummed at first (this is Evie's first trip to a real zoo and perhaps the last family outing before baby arrives) but I'm focusing on the silver lining - a WHOLE DAY at home to myself! I'm going to be SO productive, haha!
We survived grocery shopping today thanks to a lollipop... that might be our biggest accomplishment today. Home and watching bubbleguppies and I just don't want to do much else. E never has days of just hanging around at home, maybe today is the day... although I'm also considering wandering around at the local outlet shopping and visiting my husband at work. Hmmm
@mom2adoodle CONGRATS on the little bundle of perfection!!! @RG1 still can't believe we're growing these things inside of us...conceptually difficult at times to fully understand this as a FTM!!
@mom2adoodle A little late to the game as we were out all day yesterday. Congratulations on the birth of Fin! I had so many emotions and felt so very isolated when DS1 was born early. Please feel free to reach out to me via PM if you need someone to talk to. It's very difficult when things don't go as you planned (as I had planned to have a baby a week late so I could finish out the school year). Hugs mama!
Congratulations @mom2adoodle!!! I echo everyone's sentiments on Finley looking absolutely PERFECT! I hope you are recovering well and all get to go home soon (meaning everyone is healthy). Take care and thanks for posting pictures and updates for us!

@PSUBecky23 I know, right? This never happens... Whenever I'm stressed or want time to myself, DH offers to hang out with E for a day so I can "go out and do something." I always tell him - honestly, there's nothing I want to DO...I just want to be alone, at home! Half productive, half relaxing. Quiet. Blissful. It hasn't happened...until now. So far today, the productive part is in the bag. I have a few things I want to finish up and then I'm considering my "relaxing" options. Lunch out, perhaps? Maybe just a cold Coke and a book while lounging in the sun on the back deck? (Though, if I'm being real, I'd much prefer it was a glass of wine, haha!)
We are currently driving home from a wedding that was 3 hours away. H drank too much and was up til 3am partying away. Needless to say, I drove the first 2 hours of the trip back and we had to stop so he could yack in the road and then again so we could get some hash browns from mcds. On the highway again and I'm relaxed, reclined and bumping... The way it should be haha
@RedMar I don't know if it's just me but every time you've posted this month, I momentarily forget that your siggy gif is part of the siggy challenge! Instead, I read all of your posts in conjunction with the fireworks dance party - it makes your posts all seem celebratory-worthy, haha!
@mom2adoodle congrats, Finley is SO cute! You did it!! I know you'll have your hands full but don't forget about us. Enjoy your new precious boy!
i am back in Dallas now. I survived yet another horrifying flight but this time instead of being criticized I had two other moms and an older woman come up and say You're doing a good job mama! Honestly, I had to hold back tears
Congrats @mom2adoodle he is adorable! Hope your NICU stay is short and uneventful. Download a few good books/movies and get yourself some snacks for the days ahead. They are stressful but I promise you there worth it! Fruit and veggies and skin to skin saved me the couple weeks we were in the NICU with DD.
So I keep having this weird dream where not only do I give birth to a baby boy (I'm having a girl) but he's black. I'm like Casper the friendly ghost over here and my husband is redheaded and blue eyed so it makes no sense in the waking world, but in the dream my husband and I are just in love with him and can't understand why people keep asking if hes really ours or not. He has beautiful curly hair & big eyes. I know I must have seen this real life baby at some point to dream about him in such detail but I can't for the life of me figure out where. This has become a nightly dream and I have no idea what my subconscious is trying to tell me.
@seitzy3 your post made me think, we always think/say a mama is doing a good job when her kids are sitting still being angels... but maybe we should tell mom's their doing a good job when their kids are being absolute demons throwing a fit and the mom isn't throwing one of her own?? I say calmly to E when he's having a meltdown in the evening "I know buddy, mama feels the exact same way. Yeah! I want to cry too!!" Lol
@seitzy3 I really make an effort to say something to moms who seem to be having a day. It's amazing what simple words of encouragement can do for a mama who feels like she's doing everything wrong and is at her wits end.
DH is gone on his last business trip before baby. I just returned from part 1 of labor and delivery classes and now the dog and I have the house to ourselves tonight and I'm also off tomorrow. Biggest concern is where to order food from

That's always my biggest concern when H is gone for the night too!! I can get whatever sounds good to me. It's always exciting.
