Home from 4 hours at the beach. Keep wondering if mr. Finley is earthside yet!! Emmett is napping... hoping it's a good long one (last two days at daycare have been 30-60 minute naps and left him a bit edgy...rawr). I'm having lunch and watching Tallulah with my feet up.
@seitzy3@KimmySchmidt I think my 2yoDD will object to naps quicker than the other two. The nice thing is that if we're out and about, the older two think it's a bonus that they don't have to nap that day. I find though, after a long week, they need at least an hour "nap" on Saturdays. However, I'm the mean mommy who does strict bed time at 7, because they're up no.matter.what. at 6:00am on the weekends. It'll be weird going back to a newb with no schedule!

@seitzy3 I'm in Fort Worth and we haven't had any bad weather today. Had a little yesterday but it didn't last long. My dad actually flew out of DFW yesterday and didn't have any delays.
@seitzy3 we actually live in Colorado. He commutes from Denver to Dallas to start his trips. He's been all over Texas this week. I guess they got divorced out of Ft. Hood yesterday because of a closed runway. One can never tell what, when, or why an airport may delay!
@mom2adoodle Thinking of you and baby Finley! Hope all is going well!
@seitzy3 Happy birthday! Hope the weather gives you a nice little bday gift and surprises you with clear skies for flying. (Oh, and a healthy kiddo, too!)
Ugh. The babies must have dropped in the last day or two.
Yesterday it was lightning crotch for the first time, today it's constant pain and pressure in my lower belly and pelvis. It feels like a bowling ball (or two) sitting on the nerves.
At first I thought it was gas or contractions, but it's constant, my belly isn't rock hard, and it especially hurts when I lean forward or laugh/cough/sneeze (anything that puts more pressure on my lower belly).
On the brighter side, DH put together our stroller with the car seat adapters and got one car seat out and figured out. Still need to get the other one out and attach the canopy and then get the car seat bases installed in one of our cars, but we're almost done with the transportation stuff.
We're in the home stretch on the rest of the baby preparations, too. Just a handful of stuff left to do, nothing major, and we'll be completely done.
It took minutes to click through all those random pages. I usually see that this thread is at 7 pages and give up. I'm glad I made it though because I noticed what's happening with @mom2adoodle. Good luck lady! I'm sorry you have to be induced early but I'm sending positive vibes for you and your little guy! Hope it goes smoothly!
Random: I'm excited to have a color birthstone finally. My girls are pearl and diamond. I don't have any birthstone jewelry anyway, but maybe one day I will and now I can imagine a nice blue color in there (... or less likely green for August).

I told FI about the ladies on the board who were maybe in labor/ getting induced etc etc and his eyes got SOO wide and he was like "but but that can't happen to you right?" I was all "Uh yeah- and since yesterday they officially won't stop my labor, sooo from here on out it could be baby time"
So guess who is currently packing his own hospital bag "just in case".
Edited because apparently without autocorrect I cannot spell hospital lol
@Megan324 whaaaat? My doctor will do all he can to stop labor before 37 weeks and before 34 for twins. Did they give a reason why they wouldn't stop it at this point?
Mine won't stop it after 36 weeks but also won't augment unless baby isn't tolerating labor...so I guess I'm in the same camp as @megan324 since I was 36 weeks last Wednesday. I also can't stop thinking of baby Finley, really hope she's having a smooth labor and not updating bc she's snuggling a healthy baby!
I don't know how pre-e inductions work, anyone? Is it a normal one that could take hours to get? Or is there a quicker deadline if things aren't progressing??

we we went to the beach today with our friends and their precious 15 week old daughter Millie....she was sooooo cute and it was really great seeing how well they've adjusted to parenthood. Poor thing got hot really quick so we had to go up and sit in the shade at beach house which was better anyway. It's getting real that we are next!!
Just checking in after an all-day birth class and nap. @mom2adoodle Add me to your long list of cheerleaders! Good luck for a smooth and easy (as much as possible) induction and birth. I can't wait for your update about Finley!
@AnnaS930 I don't know how pre-e inductions work, but with my first I was induced because her heart rate was dropping. I wasn't dilated or anything so they had to start with a CRIB Catheter (basically a balloon that dilated the cervix). Once that got going, then they started pitocin. From beginning to end it was 20 hrs. I'm not sure if they'd try to expedite things given her situation.

I can't believe we'll have our first non-drive by baby on the board!

ETA: I adore Ellen Page as well - she's from my city and my brother has been on set with her and says she's super awesome.
