@ceclarlinetlo, @TinaBelcher, @Carly79 and @ashanne88 thank you, thank you, ladies! You are all right in your responses and it is definitely the picture in my mind and I am truly relieved the baby is healthy. I have been very emotional even before this news. For example, we were at Disney this past week and I started crying in The Hall of Presidents. Yes, you read that right! (I should share that on the other thread because my husband thought I was nuts!) Lol I'm starting to accept it and getting excited to go through all of my sons stuff that I've saved and actually do a boy nursery because we were team green with my first. I don't know if we'll ever entertain the idea of having a third but we have awhile to think about it!
At our NT screening a few days ago all looks normal (whew!) And....tech said she's almost positive it's a girl, and she's right 90% of the time! My instincts say 'boy' and we were hoping for boy, but I'll be happy for a girl since eventually I want one of each anyway We'll see if the tech was right in 8 weeks! So far, baby girl for us!
@underthesea thanks! This pregnancy is the opposite of my daughter's...so I felt it was a boy "scientifically" despite having a strong sense it was a girl. So excited for two girls!!!!!!
I got my Maternit21 results today. We have two healthy babies, and at least one of them is a boy! We will have to wait a few more weeks to confirm the sex of the other baby by ultrasound, since the blood test can't tell if there are one or two boys. So relieved that everything looks good, and thrilled to be having at least one more little boy!
DS: June 2008 Married: July 2015 BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17
@BrennansMom2012 your feelings are totally normal. I have one of each and I really want DD to have a sister and DS to be my only little guy forever so I think I would have the same feelings if this one is a boy. It is what it is, you're allowed to feel how you want but it doesn't mean you don't love your new baby boy any less! I'm happy he's healthy and DS will love having a little brother!
Harmony test came back today and says girl! Also low risk for abnormalities which is the best news. The sonographer that did our sono was a friend and based on nub theory she said girl, she was correct!!
This is going to sound weird, but I feel nervous about our elective gender ultrasound next week. I want to know because I'm a planner and want to start buying clothes, bedding, and ect. I also know that this is our last baby. Part of me really wants a boy so I can have a son and a daughter, but part of me wants another girl so my daughter can have a sister. I was really close with my sister growing up. I know I'm crazy. Either way, at least I will be happy for one of those things to happen. I guess I'm more nervous this time around because I know it's my last.
Is anyone noticing that Jan 17 babes are becoming a vagina fest? It seems disproportionately female up in here.
Now I'm tempted to go update the EDD spreadsheet on behalf of everyone here who hasn't just to find out what the ratio truly is and whether it's a vagfest or peenfest.
ETA: So many people who have posted here aren't in that spreadsheet! Agh!
@canavara I've been meaning to do that, but my bump ability currently is time to write out one response before running to get my time point that takes 10 min, then rinse and repeat. I'll probably have time tomorrow, since I'll be in a lot of seminars.
We just got our test results back and we are having a healthy baby BOY! My daughter will have a baby brother. I'm not gonna lie, I have some mixed feelings... I never had a brother, I had a sister. Then my sister had a girl, then I had a girl. Lots of girls, no boys. I think now I understand the shock my husband felt when we found out our first was a girl (he only had a brother). But the important thing is HE is healthy. and I know my daughter will love having a baby brother.
So ladies... Tie breaker over here is another little boy! I was initially sad (flame away) because I wanted DD to have a little sister so badly and for DS to be my one mamas boy forever but I'm really excited to be adding another mister to our family
We're having a little dude! Originally we wanted a girl because we love our girl name--but that's all it is, a name. We're pretty excited about a boy. He's going to be awesome, visit every National Park with his super cool parents, chill with his big brother dogs, and become best friends (not by choice, but hopefully by choice eventually ) with my sister's baby boy who will be 8 months older. He'll have to get over the fact that I'm a health nut and we'll never have any good snacks in the house. It's so real now!
Our results came back; low risk for genetic disorder (whew) and we are having our THIRD GIRL!! We are thrilled about her good health; my husband is happy with a girl as he says he knows what to expect, but I couldn't help but want a little man to round out the fam. Now I warned my husband to be on the lookout in 12 years or so when all hormones break lose hahaha
Team Blue!!! I'm a little nervous that somehow the DNA results are going to be proven wrong at the A/S in 4 weeks, I don't know why though. I am so excited to be having a little boy!!!
So excited to announce that we are having a baby boy! So excited, even though I think that everyone I know thought I was having a boy! It's starting to feel more real knowing that there is a little man growing inside of me, crazy!!
I want to go on record (not that anyone cares but me, lol) saying I think I'm having a boy, and then I'll come back on September 2nd to verify if my prediction is true or not.
