Hi August mamas, thanks for all of the love and support! I was so happy to be a part of this group and both learn from, sympathize, and laugh with you all throughout this process of joining motherhood!
I'm happy to talk about labor if you have questions (I tried for all natural but ended up using some nitrous oxide as a pain reliever around hour 20 just to grab some rest before the final pushing phase. I had no intention of using the nitrous but I think it kept me from needing a c-section since I was so fatigued at that point. I know it's new and not all hospitals have it, so I'd be happy to talk about it and/or otherwise natural delivery!).
Sending you all the best wishes in the coming weeks!
Heading to the hospital. Woke up to a contraction and kinda wet, if you know what I mean. Leaking something, pretty sure my water broke. Hoping for a baby today!
It's official. Water broke, they admitted me, and started an iv right now. Contractions still aren't bad, but I'm ok with that! Excited to finally meet this baby!

Yaaaaaay!!!!!! I know you've been waiting!!! So excited for you!!! Hopefully it's super quick so you don't have to wait long lol. Post pics!!!
I already posted a picture in the announcement. But I did want to put on here- if you feel like somethings off or you just need to go in to be checked... LISTEN to your body!! I was in labor and didn't feel any contractions but had some other things that were worrying me. Just FYI :-)

@msdidonato This. This is what I'm afraid will happen to me, that I won't know I'm in labor and won't get to the hospital in time for an epidural! lol May I ask what signs/symptoms cued you that something was up?

It looks like my labor buddy @knottie1442786653 may be having her baby either tonight or tomorrow! Her contractions started last night around 11 and recently got really consistent (2 minutes long, 30-45 seconds apart). Her midwife is on her way. Hopefully we'll get to see another announcement soon!
My BP had slowly been rising, had a headache and an overall feeling of just tiredness/something wasn't right. A lot of my symptoms were part of my pre-eclampsia diagnosis.
I felt stupid even suggesting we go in. I'm sooooo glad we did.
Edited bc I just saw my OB: My OB wasn't on call this past weekend. So today was the 1st day I saw her. She said she is so thankful for patients who over think things. She had 2 patients put themselves in danger bc they didn't want to "look stupid".
