I had my 1st tri screening labs today. First she had to stick me twice because she forgot a tube, then she called me a little while ago saying they need more urine. I damn near filled that cup, so I'm willing to bet she used the whole specimen for one test and forgot to save some for the other one. Gah!
Yes to trader joes flowers... I always buy them. They're cheap, too!
For every obligation holiday, I have to remind my husband that I need flowers on that day or I won't be happy. Flowers on a non-obligatory day? Not once. This is something I don't get. Men like to win, right? They like to get points and feel like we think they're wonderful. If they had any idea how happy a random $5 bouquet would make us, they'd be buying them constantly. It's the easiest thing in the universe, and you get about a million man points for it. So why don't they do it? It seems like passing up a great opportunity for easy points. Talk about dim.

Seriously. I've given up explaining this. He only buys me flowers out of obligation a few times a year? No problem. I'll do the same with blowies.

I've tried to use this to get more flowers... My husband hasn't gotten a BJ since the last time I got flowers.... Let's just say it's been a really long time. He says it's because he likes to " surprise me". Well then honey once I'm surprised, so will you.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
Comparing it to blowies makes the whole thing even more stupid. A blow job is SO MUCH more work than chucking a bouquet of flowers in your cart when you're at TJs buying some tomato soup. And even that very unfair trade isn't motivation enough? I can't wrap my head around it.
For those who want the kind twist set...it's cool if your baby takes those bottle tops. But if they don't then I wasn't a huge fan. Plus you have to separate into servings bc who wants to waste five ozs of milk if baby only needs two? So I was still transferring from bag to bottle and back into bags for storage. I was not a fan and it was a waste of money for us. Also who uses a bottle warmer? Lol we just ran a cup of hot water and put the milk in way faster and easier!
@scifichick09 - all I need now is a sandwich board and a sweaty handful of pamphlets.
First tri BJs are off the table even with a whole field of flowers. Actually, my husband usually gets period BJs only, so this whole pregnancy is gonna be slim pickins for him.

So what's for dinner? Hamburger Helper here. No hubby tonight, means me and DS are fine dining on an old comfort classic. Funny thing is, when I don't feel like crap I usually love to cook... until then........ *edit spelling*
Lol the only time I ever got flowers from my husband was when he proposed.
And his dad bought me some once.
My husband has NEVER bought me flowers. Despite multiple hints that they would be a lovely surprise. It is his one true flaw.
H came into our relationship with a really negative view of flowers-he saw them only as punishment-but I have retrained him well! Now I'm good for birthdays, Valentine's, anniversaries, and even the occasional just because or bad day. Don't give up, it can be done!
So I had an appt today with a nurse - they call it Prenatal 1 and it's really just an education session - and I asked her about the 1st tri testing I'm about to do and if it'll reveal the baby's sex, bc I've seen that on a couple of message boards and it wasn't a thing when I was last pregnant 8 years ago. She kind of laughed and was like, "nooo no that's impossible it's way too early. You can't find that out until 20-22 weeks." But...that's not true; she's plain wrong. Wth?

Was she a legit nurse or a medical assistant? I've asked questions before at a previous OBs office and was given ridiculous answers like that from the medical assistant. Then again, I know some medical assistants that are more on their game than RNs so......

RN. She also told me stupid stuff like "if you get lightheaded when you get up [bc I do], try sipping water through a straw before getting up to help fill you up." Huh?

I guess I kinda just feel like that's not the hill I want to die on. My husband is the certified Most Adorable Human - he's kind, thoughtful, he cares what I think about things and he does all kinds of sweet shit for me and I really, really do not deserve him. If I were like, "hey, would you buy me those flowers?" he definitely would do it. But he's not great about spontaneous purchases to show his affection.
On the other hand, he will scratch my back or rub my head for three hours if I ask, and he won't complain, and when he's done he'll give me a big hug and tell me how much he loves me. So... flowers, schmowers.
I vomited really violently last night. Every time I heaved, I peed myself. And there were quite a few heaves. My toddler went running out of the bathroom saying "I scared of you Mommy!" I've been kegeling like crazy all day. Sorry if this is TMI. When you work in the health field you discuss these sort of topics over lunch.
