@TheTamedShrew Yup, I had that happen last week when I did a short run and then shortly after my pelvis was all "OH HELL NO". I think I'm stuck with walking for the time left.. although there's a big hill near my house that walking repeats is probably just as good. Also, I did a spin workout the other day -- I was pretty slow but my body was Much more happy with that than jogging. Maybe give that a try for easy cardio?
@PoodleDoodleOoo Oh, Fred! What a trickster. The sniffing out of the toot made me laugh, he probably loved that!
My random: A friend of mine had her baby yesterday! She is ridiculously cute (I haven't seen her, just pictures), and I'm so excited for her. But it made me feel equal parts of excitement that our time is coming up so soon and also sheer terror that our time is coming up so soon! Ah!
Re: swaddling. We ended up using the blankets but did a double swaddle where one blanket is like bat winged to keep their arms down and one is normal. Life effing saver. If you have a Houdini wiggle child it will improve your life considerably.
Anyway. Growth scan this AM. Each baby is 3lb8oz. Which means I'm carrying around 7 POUNDS of child at 30 weeks. Mind. Blown.
I can't believe I caught up on this thread, now I feel like a lurker! @PoodleDoodleOoo it took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize Fred was the dog. My jaw was dropping for a second thinking it was your DH
Not sure where to put this, I don't think we have a specific Listeria thread? (Or I am awful at using the search bar) But Bar-S hot dog products were recalled. I've never heard of them, it looks like they might be a regional product?
Random of the day: Had 32 week check up today. All is well with baby and me AND baby has moved from breech position for the last 3 visits to head down!!! Whahoo!!!! Happy momma over here!
@PoodleDoodleOoo sorry Fred is being such a stinker today (no pun intended). My dog got diarrhea in a cemetery on our walk today and I had to walk back to the spot with a poop scoop and a pitcher of water to clean up her mess after taking her home. They are lucky they're cute, huh?

@Thscary Seriously you have to be one the best pet owners ever, because I don't know many people who would've done that. You even brought a pitcher of water back?! Bravo to you! Bravo!
Haha thanks @LakeR2014 ! The pitcher of water was very necessary because it was an absolute mess. I would hate for someone visiting a loved one in the cemetery to have to see that. It was definitely a walk of shame going back up there with the scooper and the pitcher though lol
@Steephers123 Maybe make a new thread for the listeria outbreak? We don't have a dedicated one for them. New ones have just been made as they happen. I don't eat Bar-S brand, but I definitely see it in the store here.
ETA: Not everyone checks this thread, and I don't want anyone to miss it if it may apply to them.
I called the daycare that is our #1 choice by far last month (I'm incredibly picky after working in them for so long) and asked them what # we were on their waitlist for November and I was told we were #29. So, basically, no chance of getting in. I settled on a daycare that I kind of like and is more expensive. HOWEVER, I just called to check up on our #1 choice and we have moved up to #6!!!! YAYYYY
Hello all. Home from our wildlife park... me, husband and emmett met up with my sister and her 4 year olds. We lasted 10-130, which is good since e naps usually at noon. Glad husband was there to do some toddler wrangling, e is such a Wildman with very selective hearing sometimes. Might head out to pick raspberries and blueberries when he wakes!
@Sbrown721 yay for that!! I know how big of a deal that is when you're not in love with the other options.
everyone: can we please just ignore the new posts from the new rando and pretend they aren't happening as to not encourage? I feel like everyone is doing really well so far. Just look past it...not right at it.
@PSUBecky23 I am totally freaked out by having to pump at work...I know the laws are in place for me to pump at work, but ughhh this is going to be a nightmare!
All of the threads about breast pumps and pumping are giving me nightmarish flash backs. Hated. pumping. so. much.
Meeeee too. And those first few painful weeks. And having to remember to wash and bring all my parts every day to work. And to bring them home at the end of the day, just to wash them all over again. Blah. I feel like my memories of it are way more negative than it actually was. But also having to find a place to pump during team building. Like at a baseball game.
@PSUBecky23 I am totally freaked out by having to pump at work...I know the laws are in place for me to pump at work, but ughhh this is going to be a nightmare!
My concerns are more specific to my situation. I'm often out of my office so I had to scramble to find places to pump and couldn't always pump at the same time everyday which stressed me out and messed with my supply. If you have a dedicated place to pump and can pump on schedule, it's not as bad. But yes, pumping sucks in general.
@PSUBecky23 Really? You're scaring me. How come? What happened?
I'm not sure if this should go in the symptoms thread but is anyone else struggling to eat? I lost some weight in-between appointments which doc was not too happy about. I eat what I can and I am hungry normally (I think) but everything sounds and makes me nauseous. I'm at high risk for preeclampsia and preterm labor due to my placenta abnormalities so now I'm being paranoid at every little symptom. UGH.
@PSUBecky23 There really isn't anywhere for me to pump at work. Truly. I am the office manager and work front and center of the building. There aren't any sort of rooms to go in for pumping...so I borrow someone else's office?! Awkward!
@mom2adoodle - You've got to remember it's summer, too. So the extra heat is probably not helping with your appetite (or your nausea). I've found that eating cold stuff is more enjoyable than trying for something cooked or heated and it usually sounds more appetizing on the outset.
Also, small frequent meals instead of 3 squares a day. It keeps you from feeling overly full AND it's more manageable. I think to myself "I can eat this piece of peanut butter toast, no biggie." and just do that frequently. You've got less room in your tummy AND it's freaking hot outside.
Edit: Also, if you're drinking a flip load of water to keep hydrated there's even less space. Less more frequently is really helping me with eating BUT... I do tend to go for sweet snacks rather than healthy ones.
@mom2adoodle It's really not that bad, it's just one of those things that takes up your time and you feel like you're constantly doing it and keeping up with it. And there are times like becky, where you're not in an office environment and you still have to do it. A lot of the time, it's fine, but there are those times that it juuuuuussst suuuuuuucks. Literally and figuratively. I work in the oilfield sometimes, with men, and would have to kick them out of the truck and pump in there. In the heat, wearing coveralls. But it's really not that bad, it's just not something I'm excited about or looking forward to.
everyone: can we please just ignore the new posts from the new rando and pretend they aren't happening as to not encourage? I feel like everyone is doing really well so far. Just look past it...not right at it.
YES!!!! THANK YOU! Lol I wish we did this for all rando posts
@AnnaS930 - Aaaahhh!!! You mentioning LO's naptime just made me have flashbacks of how I felt when my kids still napped. I always felt so trapped because I wanted to make sure that they were home in time for their naps. I just gave up going anywhere at some point until they grew out of taking naps. Let me also say, it was super hard with just me and two LO's so getting up and going early didn't generally happen. But still....I completely forgot about that.
OK, mini freak out over. Now I just know what to possibly expect....
@mom2adoodle I am absolutely having trouble eating "enough". A few days this pay week/weekend I realized at 4 that I hadn't eaten since breakfast...and that I still wasn't actually hungry. I've tried to be more mindful and keep small, dense snacks around (nuts, etc) so that I can at least nibble more often.
@mom2adoodle I have definitely experienced a change in appetite the last week or two. I was a bottomless pit all of second tri and into third but am back to forcing myself to eat meals like I did in first tri. Though once I start eating, if something hits the spot, I'm all of a sudden starving. If I'm not excited about my food, that doesn't happen. It's weird. The yucky first-tri taste in my mouth is back, which I attribute to some of the appetite loss. Nothing tastes the same! Anyway, not trying to sound like a complainer. Just know you're not alone.
@UnwritteN12 I can't imagine trying to get TWO babies to nap. That's some serious rockstar mom action! Pumping at work and napping... I need to refocus on the the yummy newborn smell and squishes that are coming.
Just got out of my appointment and talked to doc about my CS a bit. H got immediate skin to skin last time (yay for that baby friendly hospital aspect!), but sounds less likely this time only because his scrubs won't unzip at this hospital the way they did at the other. Still, we talked about getting to snuggle him pretty soon and being able to hold him while they wheeled me out. I teared up a little on the way out of the office! edut for autocorrect

I still can't get the sound out of my head.
This is seriously one of the reasons why I selected a different pump this time that is supposedly quiet. The sound makes me feel like a cow. Ugh. At least I work from home so I can't complain compared to all you ladies.

*** Stuck in Box***
Is it bad that I sort of wish everyone would comment on that post - but solely with gifs? I miss those days... Then again, I also don't want any of us to get randomly banned, so ignoring it is probably the best choice.
About to throw myself a little putty party so feel free to scroll on by.
I usually love HDBD, but it's got me down today. I know better than to compare myself to other mommas because everyone carries differently, but I can't help feeling bad and like I am too big when I see mommas farther along then me or same as me with smaller bumps. It worries me that this baby will be huge and I and going to have a difficult labor.
All that said, I know that the doctor would say something if there were concerns and that all will work out in the end!!
@AmMcc12 I'm the opposite and am worried about LO not growing enough! I don't think I'm small, but I also haven't been feeling a lot of the movement restrictions that other moms here are describing. As you said, everyone carries differently, but it's really hard to fight the ingrained habit of comparing my body to other people's. Some days are better than others.
@Thscary Oh my god, you should win an award for that one. So many pet owners would never do that -- bravo!! Very considerate and thoughtful of you to go back with that water pitcher
@mom2adoodle My appetite has been off too... I think it's a product of having less space because these days when I get full I feel like I can't breathe! Argh, love being pregnant but I would rather not be huffing and puffing after a meal.
i wanted to post a pic of someone scratching their head. We are such a nice group of ladies. Any other board would have three full pages of gifs by now
@AmMcc12 I feel the same way sometimes, I think its normal to a certain degree. I do get jealous of the other ladies that were smaller to begin with so their bumps look "cuter" to me. but I think you look absolutely perfect in your HDBD photo
