@AmMcc12@Jabreen@Megan324 - Completely understandable as I think most of us are feeling a little eh lately. Rest assured that every single one of us is beautiful and unique no matter how we're carrying. (I love seeing HDBD pics!!)
@AmMcc12 Awww. I think everyone look spectacular with their bumps! It's true, everyone carries differently! My sister was pretty tiny up until the last few weeks, so it was hard to tell she was pregnant at all until much later. My mom? Sweet lord the woman's bump was twice as big as she was (she's a super tiny lady). Both had healthy pregnancies!
There definitely isn't a "right size" for bumps and you look adorable. I love your cardigan too.
@AmMcc12 try not to freak out about size! I know that sounds redundant, but you're doing a great job momma. Additionally, if you're feeling on the bigger side, it could be excess fluid, not necessarily a big baby!
@jabreen Yeah But I think it's the same "my opinion is always different than yours" poster who normally only posts on argumentative or sensitive posts. At least, that's what I've gathered from reading the posters other stuff.
Just wanted to pop in and say hi! I rarely comment because what I was going to say is usually covered by the time I get to check this, but I'm here and I'm saying hi!

Yep, this was me with DD. I measured spot on for my entire pregnancy until the last month or so and all of a sudden I was HUGE! I was terrified that she was big, especially because all four of my Mom's babies were big (ranging from 8.5lbs to 10.5 lbs). Turns out, I just had a LOT of amniotic fluid (as seen during a growth ultrasound and then confirmed when my OB broke my water in the hospital and it just kept comin' and comin'!) Sorry, not to ramble...
The moral of the story is that different sizes can mean a multitude of things. And sometimes they mean nothing. I think it's really hard to feel "good" about ourselves at this point in pregnancy. Those that can - bravo! Seriously. It's not easy to stay positive and to feel comfortable in bodies that are changing so drastically every day! That being said, I think everyone's HDBD pics look great! Simultaneously, I'm sure each and every one of us (almost, anyway) are thinking that about everyone else's but not our own!
Glad to read I'm not the only one with the food issue! I just forced myself to eat a cereal bar and feel SO full. wtf?
@PoodleDoodleOoo That is hilarious about Fred. He's being a naughty! I think misbehaving dogs are so cute.
@AmMcc12 Don't get down on yourself! My friend who just had her baby had a pretty large bump compared to others and the rest of her body and her baby was 6lbs! Your body is doing and growing exactly how it is supposed to
My mom is bringing me some Taco Bell when she gets out of work and I feel like I am watching the clock lol be 6:30 already!!! #mybabywillbehalftacobell
@AmMcc12 Just wanted to say that I think you look great! Not dismissing your feelings, I totally get it and felt similarly recently when I looked at a coworker who is due one week before me. Its hard not to compare but it's natural to do so.
@Megan324 Your # made me laugh out loud. My baby is either going to love or hate pizza with a fiery passion later on in life. There will probably be no inbetween. Not with as much of that stuff as I've been eating lately.
@jabreen Yeah But I think it's the same "my opinion is always different than yours" poster who normally only posts on argumentative or sensitive posts. At least, that's what I've gathered from reading the posters other stuff.
**Stuck in box AGAIN***
Yep, same person that felt fine drinking several glasses of wine during first tri. I've been keeping my mouth shut on other posts but that is still all I can think of when I see the SN...
Wow. I was being lazy and skipped a couple of days on here and it's literally taken me three days to catch up. I've forgotten everyone I wanted to respond to but sending much love to everyone who is feeling blah or less than gorgeous. And, please don't think I'm weird, but I think my laboring mamas are beautiful! They're well hydrated (usually for the first time in months), they're excited, and they all have pretty flushed faces. I promise that's not as weird as it sounds lol.
My random is that baby is 5lb 9oz according to my scan today and I have an entire week off for vacation! We're driving to Florida (my prenatal is in the glovebox) and I'm going to sit in the water like a beached whale. I'm sooo excited! And bc DH is brilliant, our remodel will be done on Friday, the cleaner is coming on Monday, and someone is coming to mow the yard the day before we get back. I'm literally coming home to a clean house and my 37 week appt! My OB is going on vacation at 38 weeks and my backup has scheduled my induction...so so excited! I did have my boss schedule me extra shifts that week so hopefully I go into labor on my own and can just go crawl into one of the labor beds lol!
@MrsVoorhees I always wonder that about certain illnesses. How does everyone get them!? It's like knowing how to do "slide" and "patty cake" and then meeting someone from a total different area than you who knows the same game. How do all kids know the same stuff!? When I heard DH knew some of the "jingle bells batman smells" stuff that I knew I was completely flabbergasted. Sorry, tangent lol.
*loud obnoxious yelling* *wants to throws things* *starts crying* *starts laughing about crying* *becomes very contemplative and thinks deep thoughts about the world* *feels nothing* *laughs some more for no reason* *considers happy crying after seeing an adorable baby on some ad* *decides to eat Nutella instead* *heartburn* *takes some tums* *wants a pickle*
And that basically sums up the previous 5 minutes of my life.
Hdbd is wonderful and difficult for many women on here. It's so hard not to compare but honestly everyone looks so amazing... you had a cell in you that became thousands and has formed into fingernails and toes and eyes and all of the perfect little parts of your baby. We are all in the home stretch, try not to wish your bump was more like someone else's because no one else is carrying your wonderful squish of a baby but you.
@Megan324 Your love of Taco Bell seriously reminds me of my first pregnancy. I could have eaten it every meal. Ironically, McKenna has never liked it when we've gotten her some.
I can not keep up! I think I just read 250 posts! We are getting so close to our due-dates!!
So I need some advise. A friend of mine sent me some pretty concerning texts today and I have no clue how to help her. She was laid off in October and then was in a serious car accident in November and hasn't worked since.
@lovelylauren86 that's a tough situation for sure. My roommate from college was suicidal and has yet to get help to this day. I ended up moving out because she got very violent with me. You're doing the best you can by just being there for her. She needs professional help and can only get that herself.
Also, I'm confused about the messages and the timing bc the screenshots don't match up?

It's because I sent one to my sister earlier, then I took a new one of the top part to get all of the text in just 2 pics

Is she suicidal or just frustrated with life? If the first you could have a welfare check done on her. If the second set a limit on how much negativity you can/will take before stepping away for your health.
@MrsVoorhees oh man I really hope it's not HFM and is like a canker sore or something! Does she have a fever? Poor girl!
No fever yet, and she doesn't act sick! She does have some little bitty bumps on her face and almost invisible ones on her feet that I only saw because I was looking. I've never had a canker sore, can you get one on your tongue? Her blister is on the side of her tongue.

@AnnaS930 couldn't have said it better. And it must be hormones but I'm a little more emotional than I'd like to admit thinking about the little cell that is kicking me all night long.
@lovelylauren86 yep, Im pretty sure it is she's had it before but was so lucky to never get mouth sores. Hopefully she won't get a ton. Poor baby. How long did it last for you guys? Any advice?
@MrsVoorhees I hope it's not HFM. DD is still losing her nails 1.5 months after getting it.
@lovelylauren86 that's a tough situation. Without know her, it's hard to tell you what to do. Some people are just dramatic complainers who try to drag others down. Some people really just need a friend. I would try to judge from your phone call/what you know about her which one she is.
In in other news, I only had to pee 3 times during my workout today!
@lovelylauren86 I would straight up ask her if she's thinking of hurting herself. Her texts about wishing the car had killed her are scary. Trust your gut. Tell her you're concerned. You can call the police and request a welfare check on her if you feel she's not being honest and is in some degree of danger. It sounds like she needs serious help honestly. It's a lot of pressure on you- I'm glad you're there for her but hugs to you!! It sounds like a tough situation.
