@krzyriver... We didn't end up going with Gray. If you want a gray, take a look at Essential Gray by Sherwin Williams. That was our back up color if we couldn't figure the right one in some sort of mint, teal or Aqua-like color. The gray was easy!
@bnsmith85 Oh I know. I've just heard so many people have problems with grey. Between that and you having such a hard time with your teal.... I don't know if I wanna risk it. Lol. I like the color it's just not what I wanted. I'm afraid I'll change it and end up with something I hate.
I hear ya @krzyriver. I can't blame you for not wanting to risk it
@kmvisioli - we went with slow green by Sherwin Williams. It looks COMPLETELY different on the wall in that room than it does on the swatch.... But I think it's the right one.
After all the drama, the crib is here!! I haven't called to discuss compensation yet for all the issues with delivery, but I'm so so so happy with it! And the delivery guys put it together so that saved us a couple of hours (and probably arguments)!
@nlane0723 you guys are going to have a seriously stylish room! That chandelier reminds me of the whole pub scene with Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.
So far we have been working on switching DS from his nursery to his big boy room so we can start preparing for LO. DS will have a Jake and the Pirates room so we decided to do LOs in alligator. So excited to get started!

Have you seen the cute gator sheets at Land of Nod??
I'm getting a little panicky now. We only have 14 weeks left for FI to finish converting our garage into the master bedroom so our room can be our LOs' room... so far it's just framed and drywalled
@Schell2013, beautiful paint! What theme are you guys going for?
@MRSCORKER, i love the colors you chose! They're kind of what I'm going for too! My stepkids are sharing a room with this baby...and since the walls of their room are a grayish lavender, I'm gonna have to make the baby's nook more masculine with some gray, and some seafoam green!
@bnsmith85 Once he gets moving he moves FAST! But the initial get-up-and-go is lacking. I can't bring myself to remind him because it's so hot, and he's so exhausted and over heated when he gets home from work... not to mention he works every weekend and doesn't ever just get to have a day off so I would feel wicked guilty about nagging. So I stress out about it in silence. If the ball doesn't get rolling soon though, I'll have to say something.
@annabenanna I think we finally decided on using light grey accents and elephants! I'm still searching for the right wall decor and decals to finish it. Everything else is ready. I've even got all my nursing stuff, and new born diapers all ready. I have an irritable uterus and I have to be mega careful in third tri mester when it seems to be bad enough to change my cervix so I've really been working my butt off getting it done!

@AllyTheKid I totally understand. Though I keep informing him of how much time is left and that really it's not that much time because I refuse to have major stuff left in September. But when DH gets going on something, it's done fast. July is project month so y'all just wait Til August

We finally got our crib! It's huge (4'x3') so depending on the timeline of our adoption, little guy might use it before the baby since we plan to have the baby in our room at first. But we got a GREAT deal on it from another expat family that is leaving the country so we snagged it up. Unfortunately our house still isn't done so it's in storage at the in laws for the time being.

Ooooh, I love elephants! Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Are wall decals easy to remove? Just wondering in case we decide to use any
The ones I got for the nursery, off Etsy, are removable. Mostly all the decals I've ever done have come off the walls with no issues.

Alright, here's our embarassingly lagging behind "Before" picture for the baby's nook. This used to be a closet, and we took out the doors, shelves and hanging rod.
DH already painted the inside white, but I didn't get a picture yet.
The girls' room is mermaid-themed with a lot of art I bought from Etsy. The colors are basically lavender, seafoam green and white..... with this nook, I'm going to inject a lot of Gray, Dark Gray and White to make it more masculine. Also going to get some natural/rustic looking wood things to make it more manly, I suppose. I have a bunch of nautical stuff I'm planning on decorating it with... lots of gray whales, some seagulls, octopus..... just the manlier nautical stuff... a captain sign and perhaps even a ship steering wheel... we shall see.
We got curtains to frame the nook, and they are arriving from Amazon today. Also got two wooden oars to go above his nook.
I'm sooo antsy for DH to finish fixing something in his car so he can come inside and do the nursery! I might ask him to put the glider together first so I can sit comfortably watching him put together the crib ...by Monday he might regret that we both have a long weekend, bless his heart...
Anxiously awaiting our crib so that we can decide on paint! It's been almost 18weeks!!! Everyone's rooms are starting to come together so well!!!!! Fantastic job ladies. The pics with purple are accent walls we are trying to decide on. Any thoughts???
I finally got caught up on this thread today. My internet doesn't handle pictures well, so I couldn't open it at home. Everyone's progress looks great!
So far, we have paint and a glider. The curtains were up, but I found a hole and had to return them. (Navy and white chevron) 3 of the 4 furniture pieces came damaged, so those have been reordered. Today, we got an organizer for the closet that I'm hoping to assemble tomorrow. Hoping for much more progress in 2 weeks when the new set of furniture arrives!
Edit: the orange is much more sherbet-y in person. Weird lighting in there.
@bnsmith85 I'm on mobile not sure if both photos popped up. Yes either the picture frame moulding with the monogram and her name inside and photos in the other with grey on the outside and lavender inside, or the other idea is the second photo with the chair rail picture frame moulding and the lavender and grey watercolor on the top.
@afry613 I'm on mobile right now too, and can only see the one with the 3 framed sections and lavender. Without seeing the others, my vote is for the one that will mean the least amount of work when you sell or when your LO has a taste in what she wants and wants to change the room. I saw the 3 famed lavender one and seriously considered it for our LO's room but decided against it bc it would be a big hassle when we go to move bc buyers will likely see it as an extra project and prefer it taken down. That said, it's your house now and if that's what you just really love, go for it!!
We ordered the furniture yesterday! All will be here in about 10-15 business days except for the night stand which is 10-12 weeks. I have 13 weeks left lol

Here's our before!
The list so far:
Wynken, Blynken and Nod
Little Nemo in Dreamland
The Little Prince
Peter Pan
...Super Mario Galaxy?
Any suggestions on other titles that feature stars, moons, clouds and little ones? We definitely could use some help brainstorming.
