I hope it works out how I'm imagining it! I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do for the accent wall. I can't decide between a solid wall. Or a solid wall with medium size gold polka dots or hearts. Or some type of stenciled wall! I need to get on it!
@LGW2015 I was thinking about one of those options, just because it would be SOOOO much easier. I stenciled in her closet already with the coral paint I bought. It wasn't THAT bad, but it's not perfect and by the end I was getting frustrated and just done!
WE STARTED PAINTING. My vision is coming to light! My super talented assistant was so helpful tonight (that wall is going to be while shiplap so I let her "be ya artist").
You guys I really want this!! Can it be like 90% off now?! Actually I love a bunch of stuff from this etsy shop, it's called House of Belonging.
Question... My dad is a photographer and offered to print a photo for the nursery. So far the only ones that have stood out to me are the baby animal prints, but it's not exactly realistic to expect him to find baby animals to photograph! Any other ideas for photography in a nursery?
@Blonde1817 Does the zoo by you have baby animals? Maybe he could photograph them.
If we hadn't already chosen a color theme, I had the idea of getting some graphic, abstract images at the fair to add lots of color. I'd probably print them 11x14, mat on white 16x20, and frame with a black frame so the print doesn't get lost. I may still do this anyway for our basement entertainment room...
ETA: I love that sign, I think I'm going to make one!
@blonde1817 ... I saw that and wanted it too! But the one I saw was WAY too expensive for what it is.... So here I am trying to figure out how to craft this lol
@NicholeL16 ... Oh, I definitely can't make that exactly as is, but I'm sure I could make something similar. My friend also has a screen printer-like thing and can print letters to go on just about anything. Thinking about getting her to print the letters for me to frame or whatever I end up doing with it
@blonde1817 Love that sign! Is there maybe a park or pond around with ducks? He could probably do some cute duckling pictures, if you like the baby animal idea. Aside from that, things that come to mind for nursery photography: carousels, sailboats, woods, or just wait and use a maternity or newborn photo.
@UponAStar16 that is so pretty!! I have found a lot of cute crib bedding things and accessories nit having a hard time deciding how to pull it all together!

That quote is from an amazing song by Andrew McMahon (quite possibly my favorite artist!) called Cecilia and the Satellite. You should give it a listen if you haven't heard it!
@blonde1817 what about a photo from your wedding? We got married on an island, and we hung a canvas of the boat that guests arrived on on my son's wall.
We haven't made any more progress in the nursery this week. SO bought a small corner desk for our laptops/printer to put in the nursery (we have a 2 bedroom apartment right now, looking to buy next year) and the desk came damaged ... But in other news, my amazing Dad purchased our crib, dresser, and stroller/ carseat combo off the registry so that helps out a ton!
@MRSCORKER ... Mind sharing the name of that teal color on the wall? Everything we've tried has looked super blue in the room (we're on sample number 12 if that gives you any idea of my level of desperation)

It's Behr Premium Plus "Spring Frost" in flat matte. It's more of a mint than a teal color in person but it looks great! Went on like a dream (minus my H whining, that was a nightmare).

Haha... Well, that would actually be okay. We're waivering between mint and teal-like colors. Thank you for sharing @MRSCORKER! I'll let you know if sample #13 is the charm lol
Bahahaha... That update was quick @MRSCORKER. We've already tried that one. My good friend is pregnant and due about a week before me. She used the same color in her nursery. It also looked perfect on her walls but was REALLY bad in our room. Something about the natural light in that room is just not right
@bnsmith85 I am having the same problem with fabric for the chair! Every time I pick a blue fabric out at the store, I bring home the swatch and it loses the blue and looks gray. What. The. Heck?! I think I'm going to have go bolder than I normally would...ahhhh!

@MRSCORKER Lol! My parents never fight, like ever, and even they warned my husband and I that putting together our crib would be a HUGE test to our marriage! It was one project we actually didn't bicker over at all though. I have such paint envy over that grey. The more people who post grey walls, the more I want to try and repaint mine.
