My sis had asked if I could watch her kids for a few days next month, and I had originally agreed. After yesterday I'm like NEWP. I felt bad but I was honest with her.
I honestly don't like watching over other people's kids. Even family. #sorrynotsorry

Husband has been out of town since Monday so have my 3 to myself(plus our nanny for daytime). He always offers for his parents to come over to help and I always refuse. I can do it just fine and really don't want more people to look after and cook for. Kids went to bed early last night and I barely made it till 8:15. Tonight hoping I last at least a little longer to keep binge watching GoT.
I'm seriously considering sending DD with my inlaws up to my BILs. H and I both work this weekend, so it's either me call out ( I make much less) or she goes. 5 days is a long time, but man is she on my nerves lately. Tell me I'm not a horrible Mother for considering sending her for 5 days....
@TarHeelBex There's a very thorough explanation of the Exodus here!
Thank you! And wow, okay then... Kind of glad I wasn't around for that because I'm sure I would have been glued to my computer with a bowl of popcorn and not able to take my eyes off the trainwreck.
Huh, seems I missed a lot in the 5 years or so, lol. I actually was part of a board that split from the Multiples board on the bump way back in the day. . .crazy.
i didn't want to start a whole new thread but maybe someone will see it here. So, I see how to add a ticker to my signature, but can't seem to find how to get rid of the one I currently have. Since my twins are now 7 and that baby is 5, seems like I might want to get rid of the old pictures, lol. Can anyone help?

@jen&andy06 are they not in your signature when you go into edit it?? If so all you have to do is delete and save. If they are not there I haven't a clue.
So H and I had a little date night to go see Finding Dory last night. It was cute, I had a good time, and I'm really glad we saw it, but I don't think it holds a candle to the original. A lot less in the way of adult subtext jokes and a little bit more in the way of stretching the limits of biology. I know that is a silly thing to get hung up on when the base premise is talking fish, but I am what I am (and that's a big ocean nerd). H liked it better than the original, but I think he's wrong and a re-watch is in order to prove it him.
For those of you who already have littles, I think they'd really enjoy it. There are a few sort of scary parts where Dory's lost in dark, murky waters, but a lot less tragedy and tears than a typical Pixar.
We got free tickets the other day through the new T-Mobile Tuesdays app. If any of you use T-Mobile you should definitely check it out. Every Tuesday they release a bunch of free stuff you just have to claim. We got two free movie tickets to use on a Tuesday or Wednesday, free small frosties from Wendy's, and a year's subscription to Bon Appetite, one of my favorite food porns.

It should be under my account, right? I was able to change the avatar, but just had the option to add a ticker that I could find. That just took me to a list of ticker options. I will try to play around with it later, but in the meantime, enjoy my babies when they were still babies! I don't even see them when I'm on my phone, so I didn't notice until I was on the tablet.

You guys. I am so hopeful right now. I kind of suspect one of my close friends is also pregnant, based on various factors I won't get into. Our last babies were born two months apart and because I have a pretty generous maternity leave, we were both on leave at the same time. I loved having a working mom friend who was on leave with me and had a baby so close in age so I really hope that happens again!

That's awesome! I have a friend due three weeks after me and I'm so excited to have someone to go through this all with. She's super early so hasn't told many yet, but we've already been texting a ton.
@Jen&Andy06 If you did a pregnancy tracker ticker, it's definitely not in your siggy. You may have "created" it, but you still have to take the code and drop it into your siggy to add a new ticker. For that go to preferences and select signature settings. You should be able to delete the old stuff and add new there.
Was I being a bitch? My OB's office called today saying the nurse had a conflict with my appointment tomorrow afternoon and wanted to know if I could switch it to earlier. I've got meetings all morning and I'm not sure on DH's schedule so I said that and she picked like 3 times in the morning and I was like I'm sorry I've got a lot of meetings that's why I picked the afternoon does this mean my appointment needs to be moved to another day? She said no we'll just keep it the same and hung up without letting me say anything else. I'm kind of mad that she just hung up on me and also feel like a jerk for not being flexible.

@marriedhamstermom I would have done the same thing. I always repeat this old axiom to my students: "poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
@marriedhamstermom - I agree with @monalisaralphio. I feel like OB offices count on us to be ridiculously flexible just because we are excited to have a baby. But surprise, we also have jobs and other commitments.
I get irrationally mad that my OB office closes the phone lines at lunchtime and by 4:30pm. Do I get to leave for lunch every day? Nope. And I certainly don't get to leave work every day by 4:30pm. It's just bad customer service. I would consider switching if the location wasn't so convenient.

You did nothing wrong. If you've got meetings, you've got meetings. I'd be annoyed too. It's fine that they asked, but no need to be snippy.
Thanks @MonaLisaRalphio and @ohstars, I'm just going to let it go. I mean she was really short with me so I don't know if it was like a big issue where she needed to leave early or if it was just like she wanted to get out early for the long weekend and since I'm the last appointment of the day why not try to bump me up. DH thinks it's the latter and I'm guessing he's probably right or they would have moved my appointment to another day...
I get emotional lately so I was all upset after and like what if she has a baby and he's sick and that's the only time the doctor can see him... and that's just totally an irrational train of thought. If there was an emergency they'd move my appointment to next week and since they didn't I'm sure everything is ok.

@marriedhamstermom - I agree that they just wanted you to come in early so they can leave for the long weekend. Maybe there aren't a lot of appointments that day so there is a lag between the last appointment and yours, but that doesn't mean you need to fit to their schedule at all. You've got a life, too!
@ohstars - I loved newsroom. I wish it was still on. And I still watch the West Wing all the time.
Thanks for the link on the exodus - I was also curious
@Tennis11785 thanks for the link! My cycles are irregular but usually range between 30-40 days. Based on when my bfp showed up (I took two - the fort was negative then two days later it was positive) I can guess when I o'd considering I probably wouldn't get a bfp til at least 10 dpo.
I I have my dating ultrasound tomorrow so we will see! Based on LMP I am 8 weeks but pretty sure I will measure closer to 7 weeks based on length of cycle and bfp.
Well now I do feel bad because they did call and have to move my appointment to next Wednesday, the nurse's father had a heart attack and she's at the hospital. Also I'm now that obnoxious girl who broke down crying on the phone for no reason. Like it's not that I didn't sympathize or understand why my appointment was being moved I guess I just had so much of my worry held at bay knowing I'd see the nurse on Friday and when that wasn't going to happen I just kind of lost it and it all came out. The receptionist was much nicer this time and talked me down so now I'm just waiting for Wednesday as calmly as I can manage.
